I’m so sorry for the long wait! The latest video is finally ready!
Here’s a list of everything that is new in the latest build of the game:
Additions, Changes, and Bug Fixes
- You can now navigate the list of hairs and list of accessories much more quickly by holding down the Shift key while pressing “H” to change hairstyles or “O” to change accessories.
- Moved Kokona’s monday phone call conversation 15 minutes later, to avoid scheduling conflicts with another event that will be implemented in the future.
- Re-wrote code that was causing an unnecessary amount of memory allocation, which was causing the game to “stutter” for a few frames at irregular intervals.
- Fixed bug that would cause students to ignore a murder during a “distract” favor, if Yandere-chan murdered the student who was currently being distracted.
- Fixed bug that would cause a character to walk around dripping wet all day, if they were splashed with water while in the “Following Yandere-chan” state.
- Added 1 new accessory and over 20 new hairstyles for Yandere-chan. The majority of those models came from Qvajangel. Thanks again, Qva!
- Added 3 new hairstyles for Senpai and 1 new facial hair option for Senpai. (These are also available for randomly-generated students.)
- The “React to Senpai” distance has been changed from 2 meters to 1 meter so that Senpai is less of an obstacle / annoyance.
- Fixed bug that would allow the player to freely aim their smartphone camera during the Game Over screen in Mission Mode.
- Fixed bug that would cause characters to rotate at extreme angles when performing the “Distract” favor on a staircase.
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan to always wear the default uniform in the “Befriend/Betray” cutscene.
- Yandere-chan will now be apprehended by students if she commits murder with at least 4 witnesses present.
- Fixed bug that could result in the pause screen remaining visible during the “End of Day Results” sequence.
- Senpai now has animations and lip movement when he reacts to Yandere-chan’s behavior.
- Darkened the color of the grass, and lightened the color of the walkways and rooftops.
- Replaced Nemesis’ old hairstyle with the new hairstyle that the fans voted for.
- Gave hair physics to a character who previously had no hair physics.
- Improved the level of quality in Koharu Hinata’s hair model.
- Added friendship bracelets to the “Rainbow Six” girls.
- Added red stripes to Nemesis’ black socks.
- Strengthened certain countermeasures.
What’s next?
January 17th and January 19th are days with a lot of sentimental value for me, so I won’t be working on those two days (unless there is a very important problem that urgently needs to be addressed). I have a very special video planned for Jan 22nd, so I will probably spend the 20th and the 21st working on that video. This means that I’ll only have seven days (Jan 23rd to Jan 30th) to prepare a new build for Feb 1st. (Jan 31st will be spent making a new update video.)
Because I’m only going to have half the amount of time I normally have to prepare a new build…you honestly shouldn’t expect the next build to be very special. I’m so sorry!! Please forgive me!! January has been a really weird month!! I hope that February goes by smoother…

I read somewhere that there was originally going to be (And might still be in it) a game mechanic which was when you killed someone that someone cared about right infront of them, and there were other people around, the other people would grab yandere chan from behind, she’d drop her weapon, and the person who’s loved one you just killed infront of them will pick up the weapon and slowly walk towards yandere chan. If you don’t escpape in time (probably with a quicktime event) then when the loved one gets to yandere chan they’d kill her. (I think this was probably changed into what we have now though)

Implementing a female Senpai will take a lot more coding because all the rivals will have to be gender bent and the voice acting will have to be changed too. So when/if this happens it would take the same amount of time to implement the rivals now as it would to change them.

Actually, YanDev said that when female senpai is implemented, Senpai, YanChan, and all the rivals, will be lesbians/bisexual

I didn’t change any files and its showing the fun girl thing for Osana ??!
The same thing happened to me. Try to change the student #33’s name to Osana Najimi and open the game. The fun girl will show up like it normally would. After she kicks you out change the student #33’s name back to reserved and open the game. It should work now. It worked for me.
In the past, you could spawn in Osana but now you can’t. YandereDev doesn’t want people to see her just yet. He wants to keep it a surprise. If you try to spawn Osana, fun girl will chase after you. It is possible to get past her but you need to get the noclip mod for it to work. You can fly away from her and she chases you. It’s pretty funny.

Hi, I’ve only learned about the amazing thing that is Yandere simulator for about a month or so. I’ve watched so many videos and played way more than I should have but I had a question … is there any chance that Yandere simulator will be one day released on console because some friends of mine are interested in the game but they are not PC gamers.

yandere dev, you add an option to go through the hairs quicker which was a great idea but still NO BACK BUTTON
its really annoying when you find a hair you like than accidentally press another hair and have to cycle through ALL the hairs just to get back to the one you liked. This might not have been a problem when there was only a few hairs but now there is loads and takes ages to cycle back through them. Please please PLEASE add a back button to the hairs, it would help me and so many people!

Guys, do you have any idea on how to use skins with the launcher? I’m lost. No StreamingAssets folder found (of course) and I’m more used when it’s still with zip files. Sorry, I’m no good at this but I was busy with school work so I only got to return now when I just found out YanSim has a launcher already.

yandere dev i have an issue and its either the game or my computer and whenever i try to download the yandere simulator game norton says its unsafe even on your mediafire link and when i tried going to the default download website my computer blocked me from it every time and mega isnt working and i already have the yandere simulator data file and now im making codes for my favorite youtubers to use in yandere simulator (i have a windows xp computer and an acer monitor)

if you mean the cryptic quote, I recognized it immediately as a “language” from Final Fantasy X, called Al Bhed, which essentially a language in which they scramble the letters. All you have to is know the language…….. or go to google and search Al Bhed to English and copy and paste. lol
wait what does the secret message? uhhmm anyway I have a question why does yan chan not have a bracelette and also is she like a loner? if she is what is supposed to be her schedule? of course everyone has to have a schedule so if she wasn’t a yandere then what would she be like also nobody expects her to be a killer so then what do they think she will do? also is she socialy awkward? that is what I think the other students think also maybe she should be able to like kinda be nice not just running around. am I right?
