May 18th Bug-Fixing Build

When I’m working on a new feature, I can’t upload any new builds until the feature is complete, since I don’t want people to encounter a half-finished, half-functional feature. So, before I begin working on a new feature, I want the latest build of the game to be in a really solid, bug-free state, since it’s going to be the last build you get for a while. (Remember the super-long delay between November 1st and December 18th?) So, that’s why I wanted to upload one last bug-fixing build – so that, if there’s a delay between now and the next build, you’re getting the most stable build I can possibly provide you with.

Of course, I don’t actually think there will be another 47-day delay! The next feature being added to the game definitely won’t take that long to implement; probably just a few days, maybe a week it’ll be released on June 1st at the absolute most. But, I still want to upload a bug-fixing build anyway.

Anyway, enough justification! To see a list of everything that is fixed or different in the latest build, scroll down past this super-cute illustration of the Basu sisters, drawn by Katloid!

May 16th Bug-Fixing Build

I’m super eager to stop fixing bugs and work on the next big feature – but the previous build had a really unfortunate bug, so here’s one more new build. I hope this build is solid, so I can stop focusing on bug-fixes and return my attention to implementing the game’s next core feature. Even if more bugs are discovered and reported over the next few days, I’ll probably avoid creating another build until the next feature is finished…unless a super-serious game-breaking bug is discovered that requires a new bug-fixing build ASAP.

May 15th Bug-Fixing Build

I’ve got another bug-fixing build to roll out! There weren’t any super-critical bugs in the last build, but at this point, it’s a habit to upload new builds when there are at least 10 differences between the previous build and the current build.

May 14th Bug-Fixing Build

None of the bugs fixed in this update are super critical; I’m mainly uploading this build because it contains a couple of things that might be of interest to some players. If you like messing around with easter egg modes, and if you like seeing little hints and previews of upcoming content, then this build is for you!

But first, check out this super-cool video by Sforz – the first 4 minutes of the video are a super-cool Yandere Sim music video!

Star-Crossed Lovers (and a bug-fixing build)

In early 2017, a super-talented composer named Andy Yoon created an amazing songĀ  for me, complete with beautiful vocals! It was actually exactly the kind of music that I had been imagining for the game’s credits, so I was absolutely delighted with his work, and inserted it into the game’s credits sequence!

Actually, I loved the track so much, I wanted to turn it into a YouTube video! So, I asked a phenomenal artist named Shyua if he would be willing to create artwork for the video. Shyua surprised me by not only creating some beautiful illustrations, but also creating a couple of short animations for the beginning of the video!

Although the song has been in the game for over a year now, I decided that I wouldn’t officially announce the song’s existence until the video was complete. Shyua has been very busy over the past year, so the video took a long time to reach 100% completion…but now it’s finally ready! At long last, I can finally introduce you to Star-Crossed Lovers!

I love this track so much, and I’m so happy with how the video turned out! If Yandere Simulator was an anime, the credits sequence would definitely use this music and these types of visuals!

If I had to say when this video takes place chronologically, I would say that it occurs after Yandere-chan’s text message conversation with Info-chan, but before gameplay formally begins. After speaking with Info-chan for the first time, Yandere-chan stares out of her bedroom window, watching the rain, reminiscing about the events of the past few days, asking herself if she’s really willing to do anything for this boy that has awakened deep feeling inside of her. Technically, this video is depicting one of the most important moments of her life!

A few days ago, I mentioned that I was thinking about working on a video that I have artwork and voiced lines for. That video is actually a different video than what you see above. Keep an eye out for another video in the near future!

By the way, I also fixed some significant bugs today, so I’ve prepared a new build. Click “Continue Reading” to learn what changed in the latest update!

Delinquent Backstory Video

Yay, it’s finally ready! And I’m very, very happy with how it turned out!

I hope you enjoy watching this video and learning why the delinquents are tolerated at Akademi High!

I’ve got to take a moment to give an absolutely HUGE thanks to Marissa Lenti for providing an absolutely phenomenal voiceover for this video! She absolutely knocked it out of the park – 10/10 performance! I couldn’t be happier with her work!

Also, I need to give a GIANT thanks to Mulberry for providing all of the outstanding artwork in this video! Her illustrations allowed me to bring this video into reality exactly as I envisioned it! May 6th Bug-Fixing Update

I spent yesterday working on my latest video; it’s 99.9% finished! Just want to ask the voice actress to re-record one line, then it’ll be ready for upload.

While I was waiting for that line to be delivered, I went back to fixing bugs. I fixed a lot of issues, so I’ve prepared a new build.

To see a list of everything that is fixed in the latest build, scroll down past this wonderfully artistic drawing from an illustrator who asked to remain anonymous!

At least…I think she asked to remain anonymous! I may have misinterpreted her! If you’re reading this, talented artist lady: contact me and let me know if you’d like me to credit you by name and link to your art portfolio! I’m also happy to do so!
