August 1st Build Delayed

I’m very sorry! The content I was planning to show off today just isn’t ready yet. I need a few more days to prepare it.

If you’d like to see a brief preview of the content you can expect to see in the next build, you can catch a few glimpses in this video:

If you’d like to have more hints as to what kind of content I’m adding to the next update, here’s a look at my (slightly redacted) list of new features added to the game so far:

Of course, that’s not the extent of the features you’ll be able to enjoy in the next update. There are still more to come!

And, remember, if you want to avoid future delays, don’t e-mail me unless it’s important.

  1. It would be great if there weren’t dates of new download,I think you should just upload the new download when you finish the build,so you don’t have to rush or overwork.
You should get some rest man,it’s not like Yandere-chan is going to run away :’D

  2. DUDE. YOU’RE WORKING SO HARD! DON’T STRESS YOURSELF OUT. YOU’RE DOING FINE! AND EVEN IF THE NEXT BUILD COMES OUT IN FRIGGIN DECEMBER WE’LL STILL SUPPORT YOU! just saying.

  3. I was waiting for the 1st August to come. It finally came! I came to check the game’s new build quickly… and I disappointed so bad 😅 Haha. No problem ^-^ I hope you can complete it soon ^-^

  4. maybe if we throw a bucket of blood/bloody water and proceed to burn down evidence, we can frame a girl? that’d be fuckin awesome tbh

  5. Hello, Yandere Dev, and congrats on not dying this last few weeks!!
I am so sorry to hear that you are working so hard! I am so sorry that you are bombarded by hundreds of emails every single day, but I just wanted you to know that everything you are doing is fascinating me, and I would really like to help you out on this project as much as I can 🙂
For the last few weeks I have been trying to contact you, to report a little bug, and offer my help as a voice actress (IF you need one. I have never done something like this, so I will completely understand if your answear is “no”!), but I was unable to reach your email address.
I hope your work keeps paying off! Have a nice day!

  6. Don’t worry, I want to know more of the push ability *u* but I can with, this and the bucket has WC water isn’t it? hehe only a tough.

  7. As excited as I am for the update, please take as much time as you need! Exhausting yourself will only make you lose passion for the game. And trust me, we’d all rather play a polished game that you made with love, and at your own pace, than a rush-job that you felt pressured to release.

  8. I think you should update whenever. Try and get one update out per month; if you can’t, make a video telling us, or a blog post, so we know. Everyone knows you work extremely hard and care immensely about making this game awesome, so we’re willing to wait. The majority of your fan base understands that. We’re willing to wait for awesome new content, even if we only get one update a month, or one every two months.

Anyone who gets upset will probably come crawling back when the game updates, anyway. 😛

  9. Im not disappointing. and I think you should just relax and take your time. As long as you get an update out every now and then (once every one or two months is fine) its all right. Personally I dont think you need to release an update twice a month because I would rather have a full flesh working feature than a bare bones schematic. So just take your time and have fun updating! 😀

  10. Keep yourself healthy dev. If you get sick, then we’ll gonna disappointed even more because you’ll need more time to finish next build. 🙂 Keep yourself healthy and take your time 😀

We’ll waiting for the next update of your game 😀 (Yandere-chan isn’t sleeping at all :v)

  11. do not stress you are doing well! we will not wait to leave in December. And it could be the bucket of water with blood also, and that to change uniform and wash the dirty in the bucket and throw the water on the girl to incriminate her ^^ (it was just an idea: /) and thank you for endeavor in this game wonderful!

  12. what if we added a Yandere boy? like at the start of the game you can pick which gender you can be at the beginning of the game? also a favor to hire a gunman on the rival would be cool to.

  13. I could never be disappointed in you, dev. Your voice makes me go d’aaw and I forget what I was mad about.

What was I saying? Oh well, the upcoming stuff looks promising!

  14. Dear yandere dev, I am a big fan of your work, and although it sucks that I can not see the new build till later, please take all the time you need we can wait. Also if you do make it an open world game will their be special optional field trips? Thanks and please take good care of yourself.

  15. I’m a bit disappointed because I was so excited, but please don’t stress yourself out more than you have to >.< Please take the time you need

  16. I’m sure as long as people get a constant update that you are working on the game, like a post such as this, then a release for the latest build can be waited for for longer periods of time. I’m not disappointed that there’s no download because I can see here the things you’re implementing on it and stuff. So as long as people are informed, then I’m sure they won’t feel disappointed. Hope that makes sense.

  17. Don’t stress yourself out. You’re doing really good it’s totally okay if you aren’t able to meet the deadlines. We all understand it’s a lot of coding, responding to emails, fixing bugs etc.

  18. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! YOU DIDNT GIVE ME MY UPDATE AND WENT WITH SOME DAMN APOLOGY HOPING IT GETS BETTER?!?! YOU LAZY ASS! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO REST OR TAKE BREAKS AT ALL, YOU ARE A SLAVE TO YOUR FANS EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE A HUMAN LIKE THE REST OF US. YOU KNOW WHAT, IM GOING TO SPAM UR EMAIL WITH COMPLAINTS SO YOU CAN RUSH AND GIVE US SOME SHIT, AND ILL HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE TO BITCH ABOUT IT. IM NEVER PLAYING THIS AGAIN!

im just kidding lol, you’re a very hard worker yandere dev and i find that really admirable. super hyped for the new update btw. anyways, id rather have you take a long time on an update than rush and give us a pile of shit.

  19. I don’t mind you taking breaks, YandereDev. All I ask is that, even if you don’t give us builds, let us know what’s going on with the game. I would love to know what to expect to see in any new builds, or just to see what you want to do in the future. Thank you for all of your hard work so far.

  20. I understand you all want to tell him not to work too hard, but doesn’t he get a message every time someone comments here and it slows him down even more? I think he said that in some blog post…

    • It’s when we send him emails that he gets bogged down. I don’t remember when, but YandereDev said he doesn’t reply to forum posts anymore, just like Youtube comments.

  21. Yandere Dev, Yandere Dev! You’ve run into a false dilemma! You can keep a regular video schedule without constantly rushing new features out. Keep the video schedule of the 1st & 15th since that’s what gives your audience the feeling of constant development. If you’ve completed a new feature or want to preview some future content, use the video to do that (like you’ve been). If you don’t have a completed feature then talk about existing features and the design philosophy behind them. Talk about directions you want to go in the future (doesn’t need to be particularly specific). Talk about how existing features you’ve developed work together. Have new features changed how you think about existing systems (reputation, panty shots purchases, crime scene cleanup)?

  22. I hope you’re able to keep to a schedule that helps you produce these updates whilst still getting some relaxation c:
I can see from the code and the little extra added picture to the challenges that this is going to be a cool update! 😀
When we’re through with our rival this time she might be a little too… toasted for senpai…

  23. I have no words to describe how much I despise these wanna-be empathetic desperate weeaboos striving to make the developer feel forced to speed up his work.
He should have taken his time and going at his own pace from the very start.

  24. This game pleases me quite a lot. Although I’m are very impressed with the work shown here thus far, I’m concerned for Yandere-Dev’s health and mental health. He pushes himself to achieve his goal, and we should all admire him for his efforts. I went to community college for video game design (which I did not complete) and although I have a limited idea on what it means to undertake a project like this, and I do not completely understand the pressures associated, as I have not been able to commit to a project like this myself, even I, The Dark Lord Satan, can be sympathetic. Yandere-Dev is, like it or not, forced to continue on, lest he lose support and standing with the various individuals that are contributing to his ptoject. Sure we can suggest many things may or may not alleviate Yandere-Dev’s stress, but none of these ideas can be applied to the reality he now faces, it seems. All I have to say is… When this project IS finished, as well as when all the next subsequent updates are put out there……Shower this man in love.

Yandere-Dev, I’m sure has a vision for his final product, so leave him to his work. Let his genius show, in the best way. By surprise. Don’t circle this blog like carrion birds. Check back every once in awhile and be pleasantly surprised by the lasted update. This, in turn could alleviate some of the traffic Yandere-Dev encounters, thus freeing him up to work….and most importantly of all….relax and recharge for a bit….even if only for a day.

Coding, implementing, and conceptualizing all by your lonesome must be stressful Yandere-Dev, but I commend you for your abilities and perseverance in the face of such a mountainous project. It’s very inspiring to wanna-be dev’s like me. Seeing the community that has grown here, and being able to view in real-time, albeit from an outside perspective, the development process sort of makes me want to go back to school and finish that course. I’m not saying I have some amazing idea for a project, game or app, I’m just saying that being able to view this process out in the real world, as it happens inspires me to go back. If by chance you read this Yandere-Dev, which I know is not likely, and you feel like answering back… Don’t. I’m no one. Just one of your fans, no more deserving of acknowledgement then the next fan. But you, Yandere-Dev very much deserve as much time as you need; to work, and relax, in what ever ratio of the two you want. So get to it. 🙂

I’ll just be here…. Appreciating and waiting. But I’m in no hurry. 🙂

Thank you Yandere-Dev for you efforts and vision. 🙂

    -Satan The Adversary

  25. YandereDev, it’s fine! You don’t have to make an apology video or anything like that, because this is /your/ game and you don’t need to apologise to anyone if you weren’t able to update it on time.
And please don’t overexert yourself. It may have good outcomes in the short run but in the long run it’s not gonna do you any good.
And it’s good to see the new updates that you’ve made. Keep up the good work.

  26. Ive been looking at comment’s, some people are just impatient, ignore it, ignore the comment’s, take the time u need

    • You must be looking at different comments to the rest of us, because from what I can see, most people here are being incredibly supportive of the Yandere dev and are telling him to release when he’s ready. After all, his real life and stuff should come first, and secondly it’s better for him to release when he’s happy with the build.

Sure, there’s probably one or two idiots being idiots on here but on a whole, people are largely behind the dev and will patiently wait for his release.

  27. Maybe you could just release a new build once every month instead of twice? You need to rest more, it would be a pity if you ended up hating yandere-chan for haunting your sleepless nights :'(. Either way I’m so excited for this new build it looks like you’ve added a lot of new cool stuff to do, and a new victim it seems >:)

  28. I have a feeling that this will be one of the best updates ever!! Take all the time you need, I don’t mind waiting for a long time, even to September if necessary!

  29. I think I recognise the green haired girl that was bugging you in your two part series. I’m happy to know that I will finally be able to murder her.

    • I’m pretty sure that he will upload this “delayed” build together with the next one, making it a little bigger than normal

      • And then I hope he will rest… He didn’t watched an anime in MONTHS, how can he live now ? Plus he is overworking himself (12 hours a day working on a game in HORRIBLE !)

  30. Oh God, your voice is so beautiful, I want you to voice Senpai. Please, can you include an option to change Senpai’s voice to yours when the full game will be released?

  31. I’ve had dreams about this build two nights in a row. In the first dream, Yanderedev had made a whole water park for the game. A giant water park with slides and pools and everything. It was an random event that happened if you didn’t succeed in killing your rival in a week, it was like the rival and senpai were on a date. In the water park, you had your last chance killing your rival without senpai noticing, and it was very hard since senpai and your rival were together all the time.

In the second dream, the update was entirely different from the other. Yanderedev had added about 20 new students, all with different things to do on luch break and before and after school. That’s something I guess is going to happen evetually, but the strangest thing was that there was a wandering ghost among the new students. You couldn’t see her, but if you somehow managed to take a photo of her, you could see her with your yandere vision afterwards. The ghost was carrying some random weapon which was different every day, and if you could take a photo of her and later track her down, you could attack her and obtain the weapon she was carrying. This should be done with no-one else around, since they would just see you attacking something and pulling a weapon out of thin air and get in trouble. Every day you would have to take a new photo of her to see her with yandere vision. After attacking her she didn’t re-appear the next day like she did before.

My dreams are kinda strange… Just thought these would be fun to share.
