April 18th Bug-Fixing Build

New build! Half bug-fixes, half improvements. You might be interested to know that I’ve finally added a map to the game! You can now press the spacebar key (or “Back” if you’re using an Xbox controller) to open up a map. You can move around it with the mouse cursor and zoom in with the scroll wheel. You can change the height by pressing the buttons displayed at the bottom of the screen. (This allows you to switch between different floors; ground level, rooftop, etc.)

Fixes, Changes, and Additions

  • When Yandere-chan stands in front of a door, a little pop-up appears at the bottom right corner of the screen, telling the player the name of the room they’re trying to enter (such as “Announcement Room”). Due to a bug, this pop-up was sometimes displaying the name of a room *above* the current room. This bug has been fixed.
  • Pressing the Debug Key during Mission Mode will now open up a small debug menu that allows the user to choose whether or not they would like to censor panties/blood/weapon-based killing animations.
  • Fixed bug that would cause students to alternate back and forth between investigating two suspicious objects, no matter how many times they had already investigated those objects.
  • When pushing the Q Key (or the B button on gamepad) while pushing someone off the roof, you will now see a picture-in-picture view of that person hitting the ground.
  • If you speak to a student after putting a note in their locker, you can now see a button prompt that will cause the student to go check their locker for the note.
  • Fixed bug that could allow Yandere-chan to be shoved or pepper-sprayed by a student on a different level of the school (above the ceiling or below the floor).
  • Added a map to the game! Press spacebar (or “Back” on the Xbox Controller – where “Select” would be on a PS2 controller) to open up the map and check it out.
  • Tutorial pop-ups can no longer appear while the Cinematic Camera is active (this could create the impression that the game had frozen).
  • Fixed bug that would make Yandere-chan stare at the sky in the End of Day sequence when she’s supposed to be staring at Senpai.
  • Fixed bug that caused tutorial messages to be displayed even after the player had already seen them once on a previous day.
  • Fixed bug that allowed the player to navigate the Pause Screen while the Multi Mission target list was displayed onscreen.
  • During a Multi Mission, the pause screen will now communicate which students are dead and which ones are still alive.
  • Fixed bug that allowed the player to hear Delinquent voice lines no matter how far away they were from the player.
  • Fixed bug that allowed the player to start a “Multi Mission” in Mission Mode without selecting any targets first.
  • Fixed bug that could cause the Multi Mission target list to appear on the pause screen in Yandere-chan’s home.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the player from being able to pick up cassette tapes in Yandere-chan’s basement.
  • Added a short animation that will play whenever Yandere-chan equips or de-equips a weapon.
  • Yandere-chan will no longer be bald when aiming her camera in Cinematic Camera Mode.
  • Tutorial pop-ups are now automatically disabled in Mission Mode.
  • Added 5 more tutorial pop-ups to the game, for a total of 15.

  8. I just came to check out of curiousity and am pleased to see there’s a patch. Wow, a map, and not just a map but a map that you can control! I can’t think of any other game that does that does that (let’s see if it works). I’m a bit disturbed by you adding a way to see someone hitting the ground after you’ve pushed them off, but whatever. *reads* Come to think of it, I don’t think I saw any tutorial prompts on my last playthrough. *reads* Oh so those were cassettes I picked up in the basement during my very first playthrough. I’ve only listened to the one I found on the roof (really really sad).

    • Why are you disturbed about seeing someone hitting the ground after you’ve pushed them off? If you’re here and watching the development of a game about killing, then I don’t see how you can be disturbed, especially if you play the game yourself.

  12. Yandere Dev! Can I tell you something?
    As you know (obviously) You changed YanChan’s nude model. So there’s 2 problems
    1) People made many skins with the old model and now, we can’t put in in the game. Solution: Put in the StreamingAssets Folder a texture so we can make more and new skins
    2) Many fans liked the old model and you where doing many Debug commands to censure content in the game. Solution: Make a debug comand to change the old model to the actual nude model
    As a result, when you play the game without doing anything, the game will be ”normal’, without censure nothing, and if we want to make videos for youtube without any issues just we can censure the game with the Debug Menu. (As we were doing always)
    What do you think about it? I hope i’m not bothering you

I have an idea for the ”frame for murder” method: If Ayano takes a weapon from a certain club(such as the shovel from the gardening club, or a bat from the sports club), but she isn’t a member of that club it would be suspicious, so if a member of the club you took the weapon from sees you holding it, they could ask you to give them the object to take it back to their right place, and then their fingerprints will be on the weapon and you might frame them if you commit murder with that weapon.

  18. Hey, just a quick thing: I tried to leave a letter for Horuda Puresu, and she thinks it’s lame no matter the reason. Even if I have a picture of a bully speaking with a student. What should I do? Hellppp!!!!!

  22. lol i found the funniest thing EVER XD ok so if you go into black hole mode, and go near senpai and get him in the black hole, then end the day and press go home at the exit thorugh the gate or whatever or just end the day. and then look at the part where it says yandere chan stalks senpai until hes home, senpai will look super weird and deformed. its super funny xd

  24. I found a little bug in this build. The animations are quite broken because when it was cleaning time people kept freezing in place and I saw someone move when they were cleaning and dora from the music club was not doing anything with the drums. Can you please fix it?

    • Yeah, it would be good if he just held a moment of silence in his next YanSim video in honor of Bald Ayano-chan, kinda like what he did when the town was removed. RIP Bald Chan and town😢

Yandere Dev you can read this comment is important, you can create a portable mirror on Yandere Chan’s desk inside Yandere Chan’s room in this way the player can change his hair before going to school. Yandere Dev also read this comment is important you could read my idea that it would be to create the multiplayer mode within Mission mode, you can only play 2 players. Players can choose Yandere Chan or Nemesis Chan, player 1 who chose Yandere Chan can customize his mission and must complete his mission, player 2 who chose Nemesis Chan will only have one mission to complete, finding Yandere Chan is killing her with any weapon inside the school, when the mission begins Nemesis Chan will be spawned behind the school and Yandere Chan in front of the school this way yandere Chan will have time to finish the mission without being seen by Nemesis Chan, it will be poss You can delete Nemesis Chan in multiplayer mode. You can improve my idea if you want Yandere Dev. Can Yandere Dev get these features for the next update of yandere simulator please?

  31. AWESOME! Like if i could make a decision on a new update, it would be .. A easter egg…. Which alows you to teleport to whoever you’d like And use andother easter egg too!

    • I think one time he said he wouldn’t add the town until after Osana is implemented, he also said that he didn’t think a town was needed but proposed the idea for a small street for jobs.

  34. I want to ask a question, why did I say that I would join the function of letting Yandee chan join the student council, but now I still have no results.
    This is one of the only features I care about.

  37. who uses the spacebar to open a map unless it’s a major feature..? xD; i suggest adding jump and using space for that function, and then move the map toggle to M. butthatsjustme

    • Jumping would be nice if it had a real use… I used to play Smite (moba) and you can jump on that game – but it’s useless and stupid… So unless you can do something (like climbing boxes to the roof lol or so) it’s totally useless…

      BUT it’s not a bad idea! 😉

      • plenty of uses to jumping. like reaching higher ledges, or using it as a ‘pull self up a ledge’ action activator. xD and as you said, jumping and climbing up boxes and other objects you can’t just naturally walk over – plus it can look pretty cool to run and jump over things once you have enough momentum! oR INTO PEOPLE!

        the possibilities are very close to being limitless!

  38. I don’t know if this was brought to your attention but this Cosplayer you promoted is a known toxic person and a Huge manipulative Liar. They have talked down on other cosplayers. Used racist slurs, they lewd minor Characters. (I’m pretty sure they have and sold lewd pictures of their cosplay of ayano on patreon) and they disrespected and litterally sat in gravestones while shooting an “Aesthetic cosplay music video” which was in fact taken down but all the stuff they did and things they have done are under the tag #snowthesaltqueenisoverparty2k19 on Instagram and many other platforms including YouTube and TikTok
    If this is someone you would promote after KNOWING what they’ve done? Umm…

    • Her name says “salt” and is cosplaying a murderer. I don’t see what’s wrong with all that. If she is or not a bad person, actually has nothing to do with what YandereDev sees with her expression on Yandere-chan. It is like using the image of Hitler on a Nazi game, is it bad? No, cause the fact is that is related but not associated.

      And yes! I don’t really gaf – I’m just boring ~ Salt is everywhere! 😉 ftp fftp

  41. I have a few bugs i found within minutes of playing the game lmao
    The map is very buggy, the cherry trees missing their leaves, the pool being completely gone and the outside of the school having chunks missing are just a few examples.
    Also the camera seems to break almost every time i exit the map?
    The map and pop-up controls randomly turned to xbox (i think?) controls and i cant get them back to normal
    Alot of the characters are sliding around when i exit the map, even if it’s just for a few seconds
    Ik he’s probably heard people complaining about these glitches already, I’m just bringing them up in case

  43. Yandere-Dev, the cosplayer you’re promoting is a bad one to do so. Snow is not someone you should promote, due to him using racial slurs, lewding minor characters, bullying cosplayers who’s cosplays aren’t like his, sexually assaulted someone (minor as well), sat with his bare ass on graves (aka disrespects the dead), and all around is just a toxic person. Please, for the sake of your own reputation not sinking again, and for the games reputation to sink as well, please don’t support/promote Snow.
