April 16th Bug-Fixing Build

Recently, I’ve been making a lot of significant changes to the game’s systems to accommodate the inclusion of a new rival in 202X Mode, and some of those changes have caused some new bugs to occur. I’ve prepared a new build that fixes the most obvious / egregious bugs that appeared in the game recently.

To read a list of everything that was fixed or changed in the latest build, scroll down past this absolutely adorable illustration of the Gardening Club by omious1!

Fixes

  • If the player chose the “no weapon bag” difficulty option and then performed any action that involved leaving the school scene and returning to it (such as going to fight the delinquent gang and then returning to school) the weapon bag would spawn at the school’s entrance. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player played the game at a resolution above 720p, attended class, and was scolded by the teacher for being late, the game’s depth-of-field would never correct itself, causing the game to permanently appear blurry. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player stood in front of the entrance to the basement and mashed the “enter basement” button, the screen would not be able to properly fade to black and transition into the basement. This bug has been fixed.
  • Kokoro Momoiro was supposed to get a new idle animation when all of the other bullies died, but this feature was not working. The bug that prevented it from working has been fixed.
  • If the player read the note/postcard near the front door and then read the postcard in the basement, the text that displayed onscreen would be incorrect. This bug has been fixed.
  • If the player exited the player’s room, entered the basement, and then returned to the player’s room, the camera would not re-position itself correctly. This bug has been fixed.
  • When Osana took out her phone during her Monday morning “phone call from stalker” event, her phone was not positioned correctly in her hand. This has been fixed.
  • If the player electrocuted Osana during her Monday rooftop event, she would not properly enter her ragdoll state afterwards. This bug has been fixed.
  • In 1980s Mode Mission Mode, the player’s current target always wore a bookbag on their shoulder. This was unintentional, and has been removed.
  • When being scolded by a teacher for being late to class, the game’s depth-of-field wasn’t properly focused. This has been corrected.
  • Osana was not reacting correctly to her suitor’s matchmaking traits (skin, hair, accessory, etc). This bug has been fixed.

  1. hey yandere dev i have a random question for you. In mission mode, when ayano is killed by nemesis how would info chan react? what would she say? Will she feel sad?
    thanks for answering

  2. Hey Yandere Dev, I hope you’re having a good day! I want to ask you if you can make it so that Yandere-chan’s hairstyles can be applied to students in custom mode. I want some students to have some of Yandere-chan’s hairstyles.

  3. I FOUND A BUG THATS SUPERRR ANNOYING! I was talking to Sakura Hagiwari and I was socializing with her (likes, dislikes etc…) and Osana had a bucket fell on her and she screamed. Sakura turned around and looked at Osana, suddenly all the socializing menu thingys were gone and I couldn’t move. She kept on talking with her friend! I couldn’t move, talk with her (or anyone). I couldn’t do anything so.. That was super annoying.

I know it’s not a one time bug by the way, I’ve done it twice now! No debug commands or anything

  4. Hey, Yan Dev. I saw in a previous blog post either you or someone else said it’s possible to join the 1980s (Custom Mode) Student Council. Is there anywhere I can find a tutorial on how to do that?
