Hello! I’ve prepared an update that fixes some annoying bugs that people were running into while trying to enjoy the new rival.
(If you reported a bug and it wasn’t fixed in this build, don’t worry – I’ll get around to it in the next bug-fixing build.)

Improvements
- The “Week Select” feature is now accessible when starting a 202X Mode save file. This is so that you can quickly jump into Amai’s week without having to play Osana’s week first. (There may be bugs with this feature, since I never actually intended for it to exist outside of 1980s Mode.)
- The remaining 202X rivals’ portraits have been updated.
Fixes
- In Amai’s stealth mission, if the player mashed the “A” button to instruct the protagonist to climb, the climbing animation would restart each time the player pressed the “A” button. This bug has been fixed.
- The security guards in the Amai stealth mission were incapable of spotting Ayano if she was just slightly higher or lower in height than they were. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player alarmed the rival while she was waiting under the confession tree to confess, the rival would perform a “changing shoes” animation. This bug has been fixed.
- If the player saved and loaded at any point during Amai’s week, any completed event from earlier in the day would restart and happen again. This bug should be fixed now.
- If the player gave food to a student, the student would stand still for 7 seconds after they were done talking, which was awkward. This is no longer the case.
- A debug command was accidentally left in the game; pressing the left ctrl key would skip any currently-ongoing event. This oversight has been corrected.
- When the player got an achievement for eliminating Amai, the words “Amai Challenge” would appear onscreen. This oversight has been corrected.
- Due to a bug, four characters in 202X Mode were permanently running everywhere when they weren’t supposed to. This bug has been fixed.
- When attempting to pause the game during Amai’s stealth mission, the pause screen would not appear. This bug has been fixed.
- Shoku’s student profile was displaying the incorrect name for the character he has a crush on. This bug has been fixed.
- When walking up to the door to exit Ayano’s room, the “Exit” text was not appearing. This bug has been fixed.
- In the “Senpai meets Kizana” cutscene, Senpai was wearing the wrong clothing. This bug has been fixed.
Yandere Simulator Development Blog 
Hey Yandev, I found an oversight that makes Amai easier to eliminate than Osana. During lunch on Tuesday, after Amai gives the apron to Taro, when she walks down the stairs in the right corridor, there are no witnesses on the third floor in either direction, making it way too easy to kill her. All I had to do was grab the fire extinguisher and smack her on the head, then hide her in the bathroom and dispose of her during class. I know Amai just came out, so there are going to be little things that have yet to be corrected however I wanted to let you know just in case no one else has found this oversight yet.

Yandere dev i have a suggestion since you didnt know what to do with some students and just put them to sit and read you could for each club
Drama Club: practicing lines/striking poses practicing since kizana is coming the next week
occult club standing in the hall ways trying to hand out flyers about demons
Cooking club Hanging up posters for the bake sale/ Making decorations togheter
Art Club Making posters / making statues (or any other form of art)
Music club – Writting lyrics
Martial Arts Club -holding an arm wrestling competition (some students could line up for filler)
Photography club – Taking photos of the bake sale
Science Club Showing off a new experiment
Bullies – gossiping / taking selfies togheter
Student council – have 1 member always be near the bake sale
Gardening Club – Helping prepare the bake sale by putting flowers near the table/ Handing out flowers to students
Sports club Helping the cooking club by Setting up the bake sale
This is actually a really good suggestion! I hope Yandev sees it and considers it
tbh i have a cool method to eliminate amai, by framing her for poisoning her food with headache or lethal poison then she will get arrested and also i have an idea that if yan-chan has a low sanity like under 33% when she has smth like a knife and she kills from behind she cuts the head off instead just stabing
i think amai is great i love her sm! i cant wait for kizana and the other rivals im surely gonna kill kizana the moment her challenge gets realesed

Found a bug. When reading Amai’s diary, the player learns an embarasing secret about Amai that helps the player deal more damage to Amai’s reputation.
When Gossiping with a studient and knowing Amai’s embarassing secret, Ayano would mention Osana’s secret instead of Amai’s
I believe Info-chan mentions Osana’s secret instead of Amai’s when purchasing the same secret from Info-chan’s services. but i haven’t checked

The new cutscenes on Saturdays and Sundays are neither fresh nor interesting, since the maps and situations are exactly the same as the previous ones. ……Are you thinking of giving a new environment in the future, not only for animations and voices, but also for scenes where Senpai meets new rivals or where Yan-Chan and Info-Chan chat with each other?

please keep the schemes page!! lots of people especially new players rely on it alot. and since a lot of yansim content creators stopped making videos, its gonna be a lot harder to find an easy tutorial. lots of people dont like trial and error. please add it back !! 😦

hey yandere dev! i think that if the player kills amai by exploding her with the gas stove, the school should have that stove replaced the next day with an electric one

I wanted to talk about something… Kizana’s outfit in the scene where she meets Senpai, I thought she would have her own outfit but it’s just a recycling of Amai’s outfit

Hi Yandere Dev! I just wanted to report a a error, when we select to skip week 1 in the select week in Osana’s eleminations instead of Ayano’s name Ryoba’s name appears on the eleminations.
Should be fixed in the latest build. Let me know if it’s not.

this isnt really a bug, its just something weird that happens. whenever you poison amai, her dead body gets trapped under the bake sale table and gets like really distorted and disfigured.. maybe move the bake sale table a little further away from the fountain so this doesnt happen?

YandereDev, some bugs I found:
Raibaru does not change her shoes at the end of the day and also only turns raibara at events when she talks wildly about the clubs and walks while being in one position when they are outside the photography club.
You cannot pause in Ayano’s house, only in the basement and in the room.
Being a little further to the left of where the Ryoba postcards are in 202X mode, the camera focuses on the stairs.
Amai’s backpack can be seen even if the teacher is looking.
You can pick up the plate from Amai’s task again after picking it up once and if you leave the plate near the refrigerator in the home ec room it will stay in the air, I think that after giving the last sample the plate should disappear.
Osana’s bag is still in her place even though she is already dead, maybe in the second week her bag should disappear regardless of whether Osana is alive or dead.
Everyone who takes a pastry at the amai sale has nothing in their hand, just air.
The dead still count as friends in the game, in 1989 and 202X mode.
Senpai gets bigger in his item collection event, when he buys the drink and throws it away, after that he will remain the same height for the rest of the day.
In the postcard of Ichiko in the basement she says ichikou instead of ichiko.
Instead of ayano it says ryoba on the 202X week selection screen.
It would be nice to be able to buy a cupcake, put an option to buy a cake, make the animation and be charged 5 dollars, thus also increasing 5 reputation points and 5 friendship points with Amai.
One last thing, you could make it possible to spy on Amai events like those in Osana.

hello yan-dev! I have a few questions that i hope won’t be TOO annoying!
1. Nothing important. Just a generic office building. But, you can use it to access the rival bakery.

After Osana’s week came Amai’s cinematic, at the end of which I change to Kizana’s! I hadn’t even played Amai the week for this to happen, ¿is it something from my game or something like that?
Is this bug still occurring even in the latest build?
Hi yandev! quick question or maybe its a bug, but why is the gym teacher so far away from her usual spot? at the beginning of the day she’s kind of sideways(idk how to explain it) and watching Amai and senpai talk by the trees

Hi Yandev, basically when I poison the food for the bake sale on Thursday and one of the students eat it and run to the toilet, and I press e to talk to them. Then they will go back to normal and I have the ability to drown them even when they’re not at the toilet. So I can drown them in the air. I can send a video of what I’m saying is confusing.

YandereDev, YandereDev something I would suggest is that opening the door of the garden club without being part of it should be suspicious, if after taking the keys from uekiya/ the leader of the 80s club you open the door and some student sees you you should lose reputation, on the other hand if you are part of the garden club you should not lose reputation for opening the door.
Hey, Yandere Dev! Cheers to releasing Amai! And I have a question. Is it going to be a one-time payment for the game when you begin implementing the rivals?
Speeding up time, whether using the in-phone feature or the one accessed through Yan-Vision, breaks both Amai’s and Senpai’s routines entirely. Almost as if they’ve forgotten what they were programmed to do, and just revert back to Monday’s schedule. I’ve recreated this many times in many different saves, and each time it happens.
so wanted to give you suggestion on make amai intresting?
you know raibaru and osana events why not make amai and cooking club event every morning like start of the day? then amai is gonna have witnesses waiting her at gate and…maybe it would be smart to put witnesses in places she could go when I do rejection sabotage in monday she goes to her bakesale and…theres no witnesses? and when you ask her meet up too? amai is still easier than osana

I think I gave this sugestion when you could distract easily coach and then talk to amai and just kill her easy

It’s possible that this bug is happening because the game is loading some save data that is not supposed to exist. To fix the bug, you could try resetting your Yandere Simulator save data. I’ll explain the process below.
From the Main Menu, access the Content Checklist.
On the Content Checklist screen, press the “R” key.
This will open a hidden debug window that allows you to completely remove all Yandere Simulator data from your computer: https://i.imgur.com/CTkCW5C.png
Pressing “E” 10 times will delete all your save data and Content Checklist progress, but will also remove save data that is not supposed to exist, which may fix the bug that you’re encountering.
Hey, Yandere Dev! I was thinking, with the new placeholder visual novel cutscenes, could we be able to make our own for our rivals in Custom Mode in the future?
I Found Some Bugs To Report
1. The 80s Student Council Boys Still Dont Eat Their Lunch In 1980s Mode.
2. Mai Waifu’s Hair Was Clipping Through The Wall Of Home Ec Room In Week 2 And It’s Possible To Converse Her While Standing Where Her Hair Clips, Causing The Camera Angle To Position Weirdly
3. The 80s Sports President Is Bald!
Plus Custom Mode Is Messed Up
Another bug: If you do Amai’s task, get the food, You can feed Amai’s dish to Amai herself and she will say it’s a little salty
The debug command when you press 2 on the walking to school cutscene is still in effect, highly doubt this is intentional

then on monday osanas memorial thing at the start of the day happens

It’s not challenging at all at amai’s week. I just giggle her into a room and just stab her to death.
I’m just still confused why Amai’s mom in 1980 mode same as in 202x mode. Is Amai’s mother the same age as Ryoba or is that Amai’s grandmother? (or don’t have the new model yet?)
