YandereDev plans to make YandereSim into a fully-fledged game that lasts for 10 weeks. Each each, a new Rival – a fellow student that wants to confess their love to Senpai – will appear, and Yandere-chan will have five days to plot their destruction. YandereDev plans to give the player several different methods of disposing the Rival – whether it be through murder, black-mail, bullying, kidnapping, or even finding your Rival a boyfriend/girlfriend.
YandereDev has said that, once the game is in a more presentable state, a kick-starter will be launched. The scope of the game will depend entirely on the kick-starter results. As to when the kick-starter will happen, we don’t know. My guess is when the game is somewhere between 10-20% done. By then, it should be looking a lot nicer, with much more content to enjoy.
It’s already possible to customize Yandere-chan. If you google it, you’ll find instructions somewhere. As for in the final game, I believe YandereDev said it would be possible to customize your Senpai. I’m honestly not sure about Yandere-chan. Maybe if the game gets enough funding? :0

The game is supposed to be over the length of several weeks (10 if I remember correctly) where each week spawns a new rival. The current rival is on the left side of the campus from the entrance who cannot be interacted with at the moment.

I hope that a socializing mechanic will be added. Like, when you play the game, it’s pretty noticeable that the students form circles and poor Yandere is left out. Visibly standing all alone could result in a reputation loss (people don’t know you and mistrust you or think that there is something wrong with you). However, having a high reputation could result in people following Yandere to talk with her (which might be a predicament to your plans). Just something to consider…

Maybe you could make it so that you can make excuses when caught doing something wrong by the teachers/students, but their believablility depends on Yandere-chan’s language skills. Like if her language skills are too low for that big of an excuse, then the excuse will just sound awkward and unrealistic, thus the person will not believe her. If she had a really really high high language skill, she might even be able to take some steps to make it seem like she was a victim using self defense when caught with murder. It also could depend on the personality of the person she was talking to, like a gullible person would fall for it easier than someone who was less trusting. Just an idea! 🙂
Just some ideas for the possible torturing: being able to kidnap a someone and there best friend, thus physically harming one and mentally harming the other at the same time, putting someones severed head in a persons locker, putting pins and nails on a students chair and putting salt (or any grain substances etc, sand) in there food or drinks. If you want anymore ideas for torturing just ask, i can be very twisted.

After seeing the subject on “School atmosphere” I do not know why, but I would not mind seeing, even if its an easter egg,Like if the School Atmosphere is very low Yandere-chan sees previous victims floating outside windows barely visible, with voices in her head. Maybe if the School atmosphere is low and she uses yandere vision she can see them, making it harde to use. I love the aspect of ghosts if you had not of noticed.
The game is really interesting, it seems like it could get super immersive. My thoughts on anything to add into the game would be if you could collect some items from senpai. Like his favourite eraser, pencil, or strands of his hair. Since its a stalker simulator something along those lines would really ice the cake. Yandere-chan would be happy to come home to a shrine of her beloved. Imagine a basement with your kidnapped rival surrounded by Senpai memorabilia. Terrifying. End of the game you’re the last girl you drag senpai home some how he sees that on accident you lock him in and have senpai pet 5ever (maybe not that last part). BUT SenPai BelonGings for every Yandere’s neeeedssss.

After seeing the poison update, I realised just how dark this game currently is. Those sounds are just horrifying. So much attention to detail, props to you Yandere Dev.
An idea that goes with the poison path, poisoning cafeteria food to fake an outbreak of disease or poor food handling. Also with the pushing off students off the rooftop, a element to put in the game should putting something on the ground like oil or liquid soap to cause people to slip off the roof.
This is gonna be an amazing game, cheers mate.
I read your idea and thought that perhaps the protagonist/player may cause trouble for herself if she decides to poison the cafeteria lunches to cover up her involvement in a murder, the officials would piece together evidence to classify the whole situation as a murder instead of an accident. first piece of evidence would be the bento box that was poisoned, bento boxes are made at home and have very little connections to the cafeteria lunches or school store goods.
Also wouldn’t causing a break out in an area be started at a grocery store or a producers work place, if its the same shop the rivals obtain their food from than a logical idea is to contaminate the food supply of the store to be make a more convincing lie, just make sure to poison some of the products the rival has bought as well to keep the police on the fake trial.
It’s all about risk vs reward in this case. Your points are 100% valid, but I was thinking to use mass poisoning as more of a smoke screen for other crimes or something to that effect, that’s what I was thinking at the time, take the focus of a suicide or something and focus attention on something else. Just my thoughts.

I just thought of something, would there be locks in the chemistry lab to prevent accidents from happening, wouldn’t a chemistry teacher also have a camera in the corner of the room to keep track of students going in and out of the class? lastly wouldn’t it be more wiser to create an event or distraction to prevent students or teachers from noticing yandere-chan interacting with another students lunch?

I just have some thoughts regarding the newest update. I think it would be better if you choose two different girls for the wednesday event, and the suicide event. Just thinking that it would be more fun for people to play if they are able to do both the suicide event and the poisining event, without having to restart the whole week. nah, that would be tooooo easy. Maybe there are hundred of different events and you could just pick like, some of them or other. The story will have many route, but it’s kinda hard to make. You can’t have all the goodness in the world you know. (But I’m still waiting for secret events too, that would be fun when yandere dev didn’t tell us what to do)

I was hoping to be an anime and manga designer and or writer. This game is a great game. I’ve seen your YouTube videos, and I wanted to recamend for the final girl or one of the other girls to be like yandere. But the girl slowly notices that girls are disappearing and slowly she becomes like you but try’s to kill you before you kill her. But it’s just a suggesten.
I really like this game and I hope you finish it soon, not trying to put pressure on you through. I saw some of the your videos and like some of the features you mentioned, even if you were just saying it for fun. I think you should keep the dismembering feature and the guitar cases and add in more things other than guitar cases (I’m not sure, maybe cutting up said person’s body into small pieces and put them in smaller/different things). I also think you change the highlight for every person (making the red girl’s highlight light red, and making the rival dark red or black). For taking panty shots, you should spy on girls changing after gym from spying them from a hole or secret area, also taking shots of girls in bra(Maybe nude? Will that fly?) I also like the idea of changing the gender for Yandere-Chan and Senpai (male Yandere-Chan and female Senpai). Now I’m not sure if this idea is good, but maybe you could make Yandere-Chan and Senpai both the same gender (both male or female). Maybe keep the customize for Yandere-Chan’s school outfits and how Senpai looks at the beginning. Maybe make Yandere-Chan address Senpai as “Senpai-Kun”? That’s all the ideas I have for now, hope you don’t stop updating the game.
