September Update Status Report

Hello!

I usually release a new build of the game on the 1st and 15th days of every month. However, I won’t be releasing a new build today.

I’ve made around 15 improvements and bug fixes to the game since the last build, so, potentially, I could just release a new build containing those changes…but I feel that the build would be underwhelming, since it doesn’t contain a “big new feature” or a significant amount of exciting new content.

I don’t want to release something that will just make you say, “Oh, that’s it? That’s all? Meh. I don’t really care…” so, I feel like I should just keep working on the game, and not release a new build until I’ve got something I’m proud of that I really want to share with you.

In case you’re thinking, “Hey, wait a minute! Maybe there’s no build today because he hasn’t been working on the game, and hasn’t made any progress at all!” I’ll post a video of my recent progress on my Patreon, just to pre-emptively kill any potential conspiracy theories that I’m not actually getting any work done.

I have a few more thoughts to share about the subject of recent progress and future progress. If you’re interested, you can scroll down past this cool artwork that was tweeted by Tangsen_Malum!

Recent Progress and Future Progress

This isn’t going to be super pleasant to talk about, but I’ve committed to being transparent and honest with you, so I’ll share my current thoughts.

As you probably know, my current priority is to complete every task on a “checklist” of tasks that I want to complete before I launch the crowdfunding campaign. Earlier this year, I felt like I was making massive progress on this Pre-Crowdfunding Checklist at a very fast rate. I was really proud of myself!

Then, my progress started to slow down. The checklist started to shrink at a much slower rate. I felt really guilty about that, so I decided to do something about it: I decided to cut way, way back on leisure time. I decided to stop doing daily video game streams and try to avoid recreational activities altogether.

I thought this would make development go by faster. “Surely, if I work for 14 hours a day instead of 11 hours a day, I’ll make more progress, right?” …but, it didn’t really work out that way.

Despite freeing up a bunch of extra hours to work on the game, my rate of progress actually slowed down after I banned myself from doing anything “fun.” Removing all recreation and leisure from my life didn’t make me more productive; it just made me more miserable. I started getting distracted much more easily than before, I became prone to procrastinating, and I began making a lot more mistakes than I previously did. Even if I was sitting at my computer with my fingers on the keyboard and Unity open on my screen, I just wasn’t getting much done.

My reasoning was, “If work is the only thing that exists, then, surely, I’ll have no trouble focusing on work!” But, focusing on one thing 100% of the time makes it incredibly difficult to maintain interest or enthusiasm for that one thing. I guess this is what people are talking about when they use the term “work/life balance” – without something else in your life aside from work, you get sick of your job incredibly fast, and then your work output suffers.

Previously, my mentality was, “I gotta get as much work done as possible before 7:00 PM, which is when I stop working to stream video games!” but my mentality became, “Because I’ll be working from 10:00 AM until 12 midnight, I’m sure that a lot of work is going to get done…” This made me more likely to lose focus on work. I kept thinking, “There are still a lot of hours left in the day! I’ll be fine!” but every day ended with me saying, “Huh? What happened? We’re at the end of the day already? But I didn’t get enough work done…”

It turns out that attempting to improve your productivity by increasing your work hours is like…attempting to satisfy your thirst by drinking poison. It’s counterproductive.

My grand experiment – “Let’s see what happens if I just completely cut all fun, leisure, and recreational activities out of my life!” seems to have ended in failure. It’s starting to seem like I should return to my previous schedule of playing video games once per day, since my current strategy isn’t working at all.

…but, what if I’m wrong?

What if the amount of progress I’ve been making is actually fast, comparatively to what my progress would have been like, if I had stuck to my original schedule? What if I actually have been super productive over the past few months, and I’m simply not acknowledging it? What if returning to video games will just make my progress slow down?

It’s hard to decide what to think. It’s difficult to know what conclusion I should draw.

I would love to be able to provide you with an estimate regarding when I’ll be done with the Pre-Crowdfunding Checklist, but it’s nearly impossible to do that when I don’t even understand what the primary factors contributing to my productivity are.

At the end of a recent blog post, I said a few things that are still pretty important and relevant:

“The progress that gets done over the course of a month is not dependent on what I planned to do; it’s dependent on what unforeseen events happen over the course of that month.”

and,

“if I realize that something is worth adding to the checklist, the checklist is going to grow. It will increase the amount of time that the game must remain in development for, but it’ll be worth it, since it will result in a better game.”

I suppose that’s still the best possible summary of the situation that I can provide at this point in time.

All I know is that I’ll just keep fixing bugs that get reported, keep making improvements where I notice I can make them, and keep making progress on the checklist with whatever time is left over.

  1. To be honest, I think that releasing no build is more underwhelming than releasing a new build.with not so many new things in it lol

  2. remember not to overwork yourself!!! i think we can all understand that theres no update today, and we can all agree its ok! youve done alot of work recently!

  3. I have an idea for the game. Releasing rivals, their eliminations and everything they have in actual waves/phases. It should be easier to develop, and i think it would make you less busy. My opnion tho. Bugs and waves of the rivals. Then on the last part should be the acting and voices. Good luck on development and please dont stress out, the game can wait.

    • I feel that this would be a bad idea. I feel that it’s better to fix every problem that a game has and *then* release it, rather than to release a game with a bunch of problems, and then fix the problems later.

      • I dont really have experience with programming since im still learning and stuff, but to be homest i think a small break from development, and doing other things what make you happy, should be more fun and interesting. Please take care of yourself Dev, hope you are gonna feel better after a break.

  4. I personally would’ve preferred if there was a new build today, even if it didn’t have a lot of new features in it. However, you’re the game’s dev so it’s up to you. Remember to always rest!

  5. Whoa! I can’t believe that this has happened to you too. To be honest, this happens to me too when I try to create videos for my YouTube channel. I felt the loss of interest of video ideas and had bad urges of procrastination. I attempted to forget the worries of doing so but it just got worse and I receive more stress. I even became less time efficient and I feel like I don’t have anything to do for fun other than the games I play to distract myself. I HIGHLY recommend you give yourself some rest, maybe even a break. Just take your time to rest until you have the motivation to continue Yandere Simulator again. Your mental health comes first. Always. I know this is a lot to write but this is for you to know. Hope you’ll be ok. You don’t have to send a new build now if you have to. Thank you for your time.

  6. Dev! Is there any chance you can change the routines for 80’s people who “skipped breakfast and forgot lunch”? Like during lunch time theyre eating and than task says they need meal…

  7. Yanderedev! I’m here to yell at you! Bad! You KEEP doing your fun shit! That is how you get MOTIVATION! PEOPLE NEED MOTIVATION! Now, get out of whatever coding program you’re using, make some popcorn, watch a movie and play a game you DIDN’T make. Take a break because you’ve earned it and deserve it! YOU’VE MADE A LOT OF PROGRESS AND YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT! Lots of love ❤ (GO GOLFING OR SOME SHIT, TAKE A DAY OFF MAN!)

  8. I don’t see that bad the fact that you don’t release anything today. I mean… We had It in the 27 Agost. Sooo no te preocupes, ya nos cumpliste, no puedo esperar para el post del 15

  9. Hey Yanderedev I have a question I recently tried the strangulation methods and I realized that aren’t the headphones from the light music club like the weakest because the strings of the headphones might snap break if it’s strangled by a student who might have a stronger neck or strength like Budo Masuta for example or the Occult club necklace wouldn’t the beads of the necklace break into pieces after one use of strangling someone I feel like the garrote and the jump are the only strong weapons the tape measure probably the third weakest weapon followed by the stethoscope I think the occult club necklace is the first weakest weapon

  10. Hey, I have a suggestion and I don’t know where to post it so I’ll just comment it here.
Possibly you could add some extra context in the Befriend Or Betray scheme of the game, where you specify that the deadline is for acquiring the Directional Mic. (And maybe in some of the other schemes perhaps some extra context for additional steps?)

  11. I can actually relate to all of this. There is a really big project I’ve been trying to complete for a very long time, but for the past year or so, I feel like I haven’t been making a lot of progress on it. And it’s cuz I burned out, in exactly this way. It’s so confusing to try to feel your way through burnout like this, but I believe in you to find your way through it.

For me, the hardest part was a dreadful sense of guilt that loomed over me whenever I was “not being productive” Which was preventing me from recharging and enjoying anything in the first place. So even when I let myself relax, I was never truly relaxing or regaining any energy to continue working.

Recently, I’ve accepted that it’s okay not to be working 24/7. Its taken much longer than I’d like, but I’ve finally taught myself that I’m allowed to be a human and have fun and relax sometimes. I’ve finally internalized that. And genuinely, in my case, Progress seems to be picking up again. I feel better. This is what’s worked for me.

What helped me be able to really realize and *feel* that its okay to let myself go sometimes is largely attributed to advice I was given from therapists.

Before, I was able to acknowledge that “yeah, logically I’m a human and I need to not always be working 24/7 in order to work productively and enjoy my life…” But, I just didn’t feel that way emotionally. I felt like I was wrong and useless and worthless unless I was working, and that took quite a toll long term.

If you don’t have access to therapy, Or don’t feel comfortable directly speaking with one, I recommend a YouTube channel called “HealthyGamerGG” He is a licensed therapist and explains things in video game terms, and your bound to find something on his channel that you can resonate with. Watching his videos from time to time has helped me so tremendously, I can’t even begin to put it into words.

  12. I sincerely hope you can start feeling happy, productive, and proud of yourself again soon. I’m not upset at all that we aren’t getting a build today, especially since we got an extra one in August. Honestly it felt unreasonable to expect one today in the first place. Take some time to re-access your mental/emotional state and try to act upon what you think you need right now.

  13. YandereDev I have a suggestion. Maybe take a 3 hour break since you seem tired. Maybe after 4 hours of work you can take a 3 hour break since you seem tired.

  14. oh boy seems like our dev is on the verge of emotional burnout! rest awhile, we got an extra update in august so we should be fine<3

  15. 14 hours a day? No wonder you were getting burnt out! I get sick of sitting in front of a computer for just 8 hours a day at work; I can’t imagine how draining it would be for that long. Definitely take some time to relax! I’ve also found that even just walking outside for some fresh air for a couple minutes every now and then can really help when you find yourself just staring blankly at the screen. Don’t overwork yourself!

  16. Hey yandere dev ,
I’ve found a very weird bug whan I asked osana to go to the rooftop (idk if I need to say this but I distracted raiberu with salty chips) I’ve already putted the dumpster so when I push a student they would fall in there and when osana fell down the dumpster moved along with osana :/ and the delinquents couldn’t investigate the matter, did anybody reported that ?

  17. Hey YandereDev! I think I found a bug with the latest build;
I found an Osana dead-alive glitch. Here’s how to activate it
1: Get rid of Raibaru. I did this via gossiping until her reputation was beneath -33.
2: On Tuesday, leave a note in Osana’s locker asking you to meet her at the rooftop at 8AM.
3: When Osana gets there, complete the fan elimination method.
4: Bring Osana’s corpse to a locker and hide her there.
    5: Clean ALL evidence.
    6: Get reported to Genka.
7: Go back to the locker and save.
    8: Load your save.
9: When you load, you’ll find Osana standing (while still not having her head) talking to Taro as if nothing happened, and Taro mourning Osana.

    • I think there some things need to implement:
      1. 80s student council and rivals have voices
      2. Sonoko react like Raibaru when mind slave tries to kill her
      3. Game Over feed and Eliminated by: (name) in Game Over scene

  18. i think there should be a verbal reaction students say depending on their personality when they see ayano beat up, i mean she’s limping around the school all bruised and it’s kinda unrealistic that everyone just ignores her. i don’t think it would be a reputation penalty because ayanos the victim in the situation and most students would feel bad for her.

the teachers could ask ayano what happened, the student council could ask who did this to her or something.

  19. I think there some things need to implement:
    1. 80s student council and rivals have voices
    2. Sonoko react like Raibaru when mind slave tries to kill her
    3. Game Over feed and Eliminated by: (name) in Game Over scene

  20. maybe you can try the pomodoro technique with longer sessions, like 50-10 and after repeating that a couple times you can play for an hour or 2, I’ve been having the same problem honestly, you can do it dev!

  21. i would wait 10 years if i had to for this game, please try not to burn yourself out. and don’t forget to eat and drink water! try to do something to get your mind off of everything, even if its only for 10 minutes! we are here for you and we support you until the end. ♥

  22. dude there’s a reason you’re only legally supposed to work 8 hours a day. The human body/brain just can’t take it. Please take care of yourself too!

  23. Characters in-game must pose more of an obstacle when Ayano has the most leverage. During the times when all students are in class learning and not present in the halls, Ayano has free range of stealth. To present more difficulty, two additional faculty members would be responsible for making announcements for the day, ensuring that students find their class/make it to class, and observing the school for strange activities or behavior. They have a convenient way of doing this, as well.

    About the characters

These specific faculty members are very tech-savvy (intuitive as well) and have heard about Akademi’s stained reputation regarding the late 1980s incident of a murderer in the school. They are certified in their work in Robotics, Information Technology, and Engineering (Insert fictional college/university here) They are VERY attentive to details, and they are also alert in dangerous circumstances. All this can be accredited to their upbringings. One grew up in a nuclear family, and their parents were into tech as well, but far too invested in their work lives. Equipment was left for the character to make use of. The other technician grew up with only their father but had plenty of love in their household. They were supported through any and everything, but technology just happened to be something they had a knack for. During both characters’ childhoods, they had a lot of time on their hands, paying mind to any and everything.

The Role of the Tech-Savvy Faculty Member

They have proposed to the headmaster a plan for robotic ground drones that observe the school when students, faculty, and student council members aren’t around. The headmaster is hesitant and is worried about how the freedom of students at school will be affected due to some “past troubles”. He is partially won over when the characters propose that they will only be active to quote “When students are not”. This means that following situations (such as) where students have transitioned to class or are leaving in droves for the day, the robots will be deployed. The headmaster likes this idea and makes them members of the school faculty. The headmaster alerts the faculty, and student council, who are in a mix of emotions over the newcomers. They may feel like they’ll be replaced. The headmaster is also slightly distrustful of the newcomers’ intentions. If these characters’ so-called protection of the school falls short, (The player successfully murders a student with no trace or evidence, especially a student council member, or continuous acts of in-school mischief are not supervised) they will be terminated from their positions, no questions asked. their robots will also be removed, and replaced with suitable school protocol following a student’s murder. This was a part of their agreement before the technicians were accepted for their positions. The player can find a way to take advantage of this if they wish to remove them early on.

    About the bots

The newcomer techies will explain the following in a meeting with faculty, student council, and (maybe) students as well.

These drones are reasonably sized, their height meets with the player’s knee. They are proportionately widened out as well. They have tracks that allow them to climb stairs. Before deployment, they will be seen charging in the school’s announcement room. They have exceptional sight, hearing, and durability.

The robotic ground drones have cameras hooked up to the announcement room’s TV panels. These cameras have a much longer range of sight than a human, and they can zoom in on a potential threat. One of these bad boys can see down an entire school hallway from wall to wall. All the while, they rotate and are capable of seeing forward, left, right, and behind themselves as well. Unlike student council members, the robot will not be sidetracked from its original duties. If it catches anything suspicious while returning an item or reporting another strange occurrence, it will not miss a beat. After the problem has been solved It will then complete its route as usual. The drones are also equipped to pick up on any sound they hear. If the player is walking/running, her footsteps will prompt the drone to stop in place and turn around. If she throws an item, the drone will focus on where it believes the item was heard. The drone will go back to investigate any matters it finds suspicious, it will then complete its usual route around that specific section of the school.

    Communication

If the robots catch the player, or any student in the hallways after class is in session, a computer message generated by the technicians will ask the student what they are doing in the hallways. If no sensible answer is given the drone will warn the player/student to go to class. If the player/student is caught 2 more times, their detailed absence will be reported to the technicians, who can take it up with the faculty supporting the student. This will be seen as annoying to some council members, and it will eventually be reported in a meeting following the first week of school. The technicians will also be overwhelmed with glitches in the system and bombarding messages from the drone. They’ll be left with no other choice than to remove the text-to-speech feature on the drone later on.

r/yandere_simulator – A little spice to make the game more challenging! (Suggestion) #1
    Drone Concept (Not mine!)

    Sections of the school

The drones will take the places of not-present student council members, completing their routes with a twist. A single drone is assigned to each floor (There is a single drone assigned for the rooftop as well, they will check behind the fans too.) A single drone is assigned to observe the outdoor areas of the school. In total, there are 5 drones the player has to deal with. Wherever the drone is assigned, it will move quickly and orderly to ensure each nook and cranny of the section it’s assigned to is examined (for school floors this includes rooms, closets, etc. For outdoors small rooms such as the boiler room under the swimming pool, the “tranquilizing” room in the gym, and the greenhouse will be investigated. This will make up for seemingly hidden incriminating evidence being found at the end of the day.

    Actions Taken (PLAYER)

    CAUGHT GAME OVER

If the player is spotted committing an act of murder, cleaning up blood near a corpse, bloody near a corpse, wielding a bloody weapon near a corpse, or picking up a corpse, the drone will immediately capture a picture of it, sending it to the observing technicians in the announcement room. They will also report this to the authorities, resulting in an instant game-over. CAUGHT will appear on the screen in red.

    NO GAME OVER, WARNING INSTEAD

If the player is spotted alone bloodied or bruised, wielding a suspicious item, bloody weapon, or dangerous weapon, they are fighting, or they are showing any kind of suspicious behavior the camera will record/ take note of this behavior, and unless deleted by the player, it will be taken for future reference, in case of police questioning. Of course, if there is no incriminating evidence found, the player will be free to leave. The neutral message above the screen will read ‘Suspicious behavior captured. Saved for future reference.’

    Deactivation/Sabotage

Neither technician will respond to annoying sounds, fart bombs, or smoke bombs. They deem themselves as far too professional for such a thing.

Deactivating each drone will prove to be a weighted process, depending on how the player would like to go about it. The camera is protected by a thick lens, which cannot be struck and broken easily. (By the time the player is done breaking the drone, she will be caught.) The player will have to dismantle the cameras another way, by going into the Announcement room and doing as she did previously. The only problem is it’s not as easy. Not only will you have to worry about the third-floor drone, but These faculty members are highly alert, and will resort to the following:

They will warn the player that they’re aware of the breach without even looking their way.

They will warn the player not to get any closer.

One will shoot the player with a stun gun, similar to the headmaster, in an act of self-defense.

With a keycard and some strength, (Physical level 1) the player will be able to lift all 20lbs drones off their charging stations without the technicians’ knowledge. Again, they CANNOT be in the room. You will be sent to the guidance counselor. If you are successful, the Technicians will spend the next 2 hours re-charging the drones when they come back. The technicians do not like sending the drones out on any battery that is not full. (Drones will be gone for that period)

The technicians have their lunch in the announcement room as well, the player will need to wait until one member leaves for a restroom break. This character likes to stay hydrated, and they will have 3 bathroom breaks each day. They will dismantle any forms of sabotage, including water traps. The other technician has a dream of having their podcast one day. While their partner-in-crime is gone, they will be heard listening to a podcast at full volume for the same 3 times a day. They also have quick reflexes (If you want to get close to them.) The player will only have a few (efficient) in-game minutes to make their move. If the player attempts to assassinate either technician, they will not hesitate to defend themselves. If the player is caught tampering with equipment after the podcast is turned off, they will be walked to the guidance counselor.

    Faculty Keycard repurposed

The faculty keycard is not only needed to operate the announcement room equipment but it’s also needed to enter faculty rooms as well. This means that the faculty room, student council room, and announcements room will be keycard-operated. During a planning period, the player is better off leaving the faculty room alone. She will be able to obtain a keycard by stealing it from a staff member or having Info-chan create one for her. (for however many info points.) The player may also be able to “jam” the system to where it accepts fraudulent input.

    Info Chan

The Technicians follow a very specific script system. Info-Chan will eventually be able to crack it, but the process will take the whole next day. When she does, she will notify the player immediately when they wake up after a day passes. The technicians will be aware of the system breach, and the day after that same day, the number of days it takes Info-Chan to crack it will be increased by 1, as they will make it more difficult each time.

    • I like this concept but,
1: I would be a lot of work for Yandev to implement, and he said he doesn’t want to significantly increase development time.
2: It may seem kind of out of place at a school. It could fit in with the lore, but would still feel weird.
3: DLC rival?!?!? That would be cool but unlikely

  24. Dude, take some break and play some games or watch movies or etc. Thank you for making this great game and have good mood and rest.

  25. I’d wish I could help, Dev, but I’m not capable of dealing with my own procrastination, I can’t deal with someone else’s even more so.

  26. Here are my suggestions for the future of yansim.

What if you stop adding new content to the game and instead focus on bug fixes. Then try to create bare bones of Amai and tease it up as new feature working.

Besides, you started working on Osana even without you still don’t have an assets and 1980 rivals feels like default rivals but with different hair but still managed to live up to our expectations.

Instead of improving old assets, why not ask animators to create scripted events for Amai instead? Instead of asking your modellers for new props, etc. Why not ask them to create barebones of Amai’s needed assets? Instead of creating new feature on the game, why not create new feature for Amai instead?

    All at little by little.

It’s not necessary as “BIG AMAI UPDATE” but “AMAI WORK IN PROGRESS UPDATE” and use placeholders subtitles for events, it doesn’t matter. And create storyline and lore for Amai instead.

The Amai challenge is a good start tbh. It doesn’t contain any story elements whatsoever but it’s a good challenges.

Why not you start building amai bits by bits by waiting for new assets so that aside from quality of life, you assured that Amai can be work out to be smooth and assured that fanbased knows that you work for Amai and not just nonsense updates they kept on saying.

  27. Hey man. I know EXACTLY how it feels to be burnt out on projects..remember to take breaks. Your health comes first. Games can wait, they’ll be there till time ends.

  28. Whatever the case may be, remember that individuals who are aggravated with your game taking long ONLY because they are excited for the final result 😛

If it helps, think of your “haters” as impatient fans. Believe it or not, they’re the people who care about the game MOST.

  29. I fell ya brother although my insight is different: your approach of cutting out all fun to get more done worlks very well. I can attest to that. Now I’m willing to bet that the reason it didn’t work for you was that you lacked 2 things: ADHD and a very deep sense of self loathing. I can attest to that as well.

Basically, I get distracted by my imagination very easily so If I’m not focusing on the task my mind wanders into amazing places only to crash back to reality and realize I lost 15 minuets. Its both frustarting, demoralizing, and a pain in the behind because now I have to do more work to catch up. My need to put the ADHD down give sme a lot of unwatnted practice in keeping focused. The second thing, a deep sense of self loathing, while sounding very edgy acts as a very effective stick to keep you in line when your begging for a carrot. In my case, I hate myself so much that I’m willing to spite and smite that part of me in order to get the actual important thing done. It’s like dealing with a crying kid. No means no and you can cry until you pass out it won’t chage a damn thing. If you collapse then you can rest but until then I don’t care. Granted I wouldn’t reccomend any of this for normies I’m just syaing how I made it work

YandereDev, the reason the 9-5 exists is because people figured out a long time ago that a pattern or work and relaxation was the best way to get productivity out of human beings without driving them mad. Hell even robots need maintenance mode although they aren’t aware to benfit from it. So if you want to rest take a break and if your rest is backed up by an objective measure (It’s been 12 hours) then even better because it beats up the inner demons more effectively when you have that stick.

As for your progress, well take it from me: getting mad or disappointed about how something should be is wasted energy that could’ve could’ve put what you edned up getting a step closer to where you think it should be. The trick is to not lower the standard because then everything follows to the point where horrible becomes the ideal and you would fail to even reach that.

    Work hard and play hard

  30. Hey yandere dev,
    I have another bug too
When I make someone mindslave, and then bring them to school, there uniform is clipped with the old clothes and it is weird

  31. I love every new version of the game, even if it doesn’t have a lot of content. But this is new to me! So, Dev, remember to rest! You’re a great game developer! However, I would like to make some suggestions, even if they are not necessarily followed.
When I play, I wrap bodies in garbage bags. In 1980 mode. A member of the culinary club followed the wrapped body and walked around her, which upset me. I tried to talk to him and get him out of here, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. But the way he walks around her is so funny!
And I found an interesting thing, kill Osana first, wrap her body in a garbage bag, and then use “debug” to go to the roof with her, so. Her model will turn into a wrapped body bag.
When I played the game, I was also confused about some features. When I got to language level 1, the game prompted me to write fake love letters. How do I use this feature? I have never found this feature useful in practice. If you haven’t already added a practical use for this feature, I hope fake love letters can help me speed up the transfer of my love rivals.
Dev, I love the Yander simulator you developed! So, remember to rest! (I used translation software to translate them, so they don’t look very normal.)

    • 1. I couldn’t reproduce the bug. Can you send me a video of it happening?

      2. I won’t investigate bugs that only happen due to debug commands.

      3. You can write a fake suicide note after pushing someone off of the school rooftop. But, there is no “fake love letter” feature.

      Thanks for your kind words!

  32. Read it yandere dev

  33. I’m sorry but whenever I run toward the confession tree where the race track is. The game froze and I have no choice but to exit out of the game.

  34. Hello YandereDev. Would you consider adding this feature to the game? When speaking to a student sitting on a chair. They are featured and located inside the seat. Maybe when talking to a student sitting on a chair, the game would identify inputting a black screen the screen is black. The character would change the placement. The scholar will be seen facing Ayano but not inside the chair after the black screen is back by the actual game.

  36. Hi.Please read this, love you. Do you like the idea of making rivals uglier or more insecure? (bald or half hair/ making girls shoes slippery and reducing their dignity and self-confidence/ if the girls secretly dye their hair in the toilet,if we take it from their bag and change it, we can do anything that could be harmful.(bad eng:) And perfumeee! making them smell average or whatever ❤

    • An interesting thought, but I don’t think I’ll incorporate it into the game.

I will say that one rival’s secret is that she is incredibly insecure, but I’d prefer not to give out any details about *why* until she’s officially in the game.

  37. Yandere dev! I’m not sure if this is a bug or not… (I’m playing on the newest build of yandere simulator)
In 1980s mode, I eliminated Moeko on the first day of the second week using the burn elimination method.
On the next day, after the memorial service, I tried to a student but the pop-up options when you talk to students are not working properly.
(in my case it’s the top-right and botton-right options, it made it impossible for me to join clubs!)

    • Hello,

I attempted to investigate the bug that you reported, but I could not make it happen.

In order to fix a bug, I need to know the exact circumstances that are 100% guaranteed to always cause the bug to happen.

Have you been able to make this bug happen multiple times? Can you consistently trigger the bug anytime you try to make it happen? Can you provide me with instructions that I can follow to make the bug happen?

WHICH student SPECIFICALLY did you try to talk to?

(“I don’t know what caused it, it just randomly happened” or “sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t” are not helpful bug reports, because it doesn’t give me enough information to investigate the bug. Please don’t report bugs under those circumstances, since there is nothing I can do about it.)

It might help if you send me a video of yourself re-creating the bug. (The video must begin BEFORE the bug has happened, obviously.)

      • ah, I just found out what was causing the problem…
My keyboard only supports 2KRO, which means I can only press 2 keys at once…
but luckily I have another keyboard that supports NKRO, so the problem is now fixed!
