Whoops! A new bug was introduced in the previous build. It was a particularly inconvenient one, so I’ve uploaded a new build where that issue is fixed.

Improvements
- The act of wrapping a corpse in a bodybag now gets faster the higher you raise your Physical Education stat. At maximum Physical Education, you can wrap up a corpse 2x as fast.
- Refactored the code for checking whether or not the player has just swapped from keyboard to controller, to catch more cases of the player swapping from one to the other.
PlayStation Button Update
Previously, a lot of the game’s screens were not displaying PlayStation buttons when the player plugged in a PlayStation controller. I’ve gone through some of the game’s most commonly-accessed screens and updated them to display PlayStation buttons if the game detects that a PlayStation controller is in use. However, I’m not finished with the process yet, so if you play the current build, you may find some screens that still don’t display PlayStation buttons yet. I’ll finish the process in a future update. Until then, please be patient and understand that if you’re playing with a PlayStation controller, some screens simply won’t display PlayStation buttons just yet.
- The Resolution Screen (the first screen that the player sees when they launch the game) will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
- The interfaces inside of the protagonist’s home will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
- The Mission Mode Screen will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
- The Calendar Screen will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
- The Credits Screen will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
- The Title Screen will now display PlayStation button prompts if the player is using a PlayStation controller.
With all of that said…I’ve realized something. The game displays keyboard buttons by default, so whenever you load into a scene, the scene will automatically display keyboard buttons, even if the previous scene acknowledged the fact that the player was using a specific type of gamepad and not a keyboard. In a future build, I’ll try to set up a system that makes the game remember what type of gamepad is in use and updates button prompts accordingly right at the first frame of the new scene being loaded.
Fixes
- If the player went snooping through the rival’s bookbag and read her diary to learn her likes and dislikes, a notification would display at the top of the screen to inform the player of what they had learned. However, this notification would continue to display every time the diary was checked, even though the information had already been gained. This bug has been fixed.
- If a student noticed a shovel on the ground and picked it up to return it to its default location, they would have trouble pathfinding to that location, since it’s inside of a locked woodshed. This bug has been fixed.
- Fixed bug that would cause the game to soft-lock if any “Heroic” student witnessed the player committing murder.
A problem that might be fixed
- Multiple users reported a bug that would cause Ayano to freeze in place in the Alphabet Killer Challenge when attempting to activate / deactivate the cloaking device that turns the protagonist invisible. I attempted to trigger the bug, but I couldn’t make it happen. This might mean that I inadvertently fixed the bug while I was addressing some other issue. Please check for it in the latest build and see if it’s fixed now!

So you’re planning custom Ui for PlayStation Controller if I understand. Does that mean that the final game will be playable on PlayStation? It can be cool to play Yandere Simulator with the PS5 Ray-Tracing ngl. You have fixed a lot of bugs in only one day Yandere Dev. Great job! I wish you luck with future updates!
probably yes (i guess)
If the game does well on pc, he might. You can check the about page for details.
Heh this update is right for me. I’m just playing with a Playstation controller and I couldn’t play the alphabet challenge because Ayano was freezing and I couldn’t open more than one menu. But now I cannot download the update because the launcher gives an error, I will hope that right now he will think and let me download the update.
I’m sorry, please wait for the next update. The problem is fixed.
I’m really happy to see development smoothly running along! Great job
Hi YandereDev, how do you like the idea of adding a slow-motion animation of killing targets in mission mode as rivals?
Hmm. I guess I could add it, but honestly, it seems that most people dislike and disable that feature.
I still keep thinking that it gives more epicness to what is happening in mission mode
Some people like it, and for the people who don’t you could make it optional like with the the rival slow-mo death
Willbe there random events in lovesick mode in full version of game?
Will be*
He already confirmed there will be no random events because it would be annoying to change characters schedules for it and because if the player had a plan and the random event interrupted it it would be annoyiing
Just attempted the alphabet killer challenge, after giving the puzzle cube to the first victim and she dropped the cube a few seconds later and the entire game froze.
Fixed in next build.
Yandere dev I have a suggestion, since a lot of players are having problems with the ps5 controller maybe it could me more helpfull to add a new toggle in the gameplay settings meno which you decide wich device you want the game’s coding focus on, it might fix a lot of issues and be more accurate.
It’s too early for that. At least give me a *chance* to try and fix it on my own. Wait until the next build.
I’d be happy if Mission mode could be in 80’s mode, Idk, Info-Chan wouldn’t be there but, it could be that Yakuza will replace it. It would be super interesting because there are no cell phones or so many aids, maybe it would be more difficult.
I think about including it a lot. But, I wonder if it’s “worth it,” considering the fact that it would delay development a bit.
The glitch of soft locking is not solved yet. Idea for how to activate it:
when I got soft locked I was bloody and had already gotten rid of the first one. So, it might be triggered from blood.
Is it something that happens in the Alphabet Killer Challenge specifically? It’ll be fixed in the next build.
Yandere Dev. I’m sorry for wasting your time, but I feel that this should be changed in the future. When the player drops an air conditioning vent, Raibaru says, “Are you okay?” I think it’s so odd that Raibaru, who just saw their friend get hit by an air vent, says, “Are you okay?” In the next update, would you consider cutting that line out?
It makes sense to ask if she’s okay, she doesn’t know how badly she’s been hurt and she’s checking if she’s dead or conscious, injured, etc.
I agree, the only place where I think it’s weird to ask “Are you okay?!” is if Raibaru finds that Osana has been decapitated. I’m not sure if this will ever be changed, But I think if Raibaru finds Osana’s fan elimination corpse, a unique response would be more appropriate, More along the lines of being in denial of Osana’s identity for a second, or something. Maybe even just an initial scream.
It’s not that big of a deal though, because its pretty rare for Raibaru to discover Osana’s fan elimination corpse. Even so, it would be a very nice detail and make the game feel more alive. Easter eggs like that can hold a lot of weight.
That makes more sense!
yeah it sounds so f-ing out of place
Is anyone else having trouble with a ps4 controller? Whenever I load the school or town with a ps4 controller, the camera immediately starts pointing up to the sky, the right stick opens the inventory screen, and the left stick uses up and down to rotate the camera while moving it left and right works normally?
Omg I’m so excited
I’m sorry if PlayStation controllers aren’t functioning properly in some of the scenes yet. I’m still perfecting the code that gets the game to recognize when a different type of controller has been plugged in.
Yeah same
Oh, wow! I thought this was just me! I wanted to try playing with my PlayStation controller a few weeks ago, but I had exactly this issue. I just kind of assumed I did something wrong, so I gave up and used keyboard and mouse instead.
yeah it happens to me too
OMG, I’m so excited.
Are there gonna be LGBTQ+ couples in the game once the crowd funding campaign ends? This is just a question.
he said there was an LGBT person in the game, but said he never revealed his name.
its otohiko
Otohiko is not LGBT.
There are canonical LGBT characters in 1980s Mode, though.
I feel like that means Otohiko will be a suitor. He does resemble Mujo Kina from the Male Rivals Video
YandereDev has revealed a few students to be lgbtq, but they are all in 1980s Mode. One of them is a delinquent girl (I think it’s Akari) and the other two are the Study Kuns
nice
I just tried playing the ABC challenge and there are some bugs. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I couldn’t save the drama club prop on the case before it bugged and made me still. I couldn’t move at all, only the camera. Then, when I used the cloacking device, the uniform became white; This isn’t a big of a deal, but after updtaing my game, this happened.
Sorry. That bug will be fixed in the next build.
Hey YandereDev, I was wondering if you could change the ‘Spill Red Paint’ button to something else? I’ve always been accidently spilling it on myself and it’s getting annoying.
…well, then don’t approach the red paint bucket and start carelessly pressing buttons.
Sorry, but this one is 100% you.
they are not necesarily wrong though, there are many people that get confused by the red paint when first playing the game (the way I see it though)
Well you’re right but you can add a warning for the new players because i’ve seen a lot of new players accidently spilling it on themselves. Not necessary to change it just improve it
The text “Cover Self In Paint” is extremely self-explanatory.
Any player who covers themself in red paint and then does the surprised Pikachu face has only themself to blame.
Your new version gets bugs
Sorry about that. The bugs will be fixed in the next build.
Hey Dev, I wondered if the strangulation method will get faster with a higher physical stat, thanks for your hard work!
Hey, Yanderedev.
I found a bug.
1. Let Yandere-Chan hold the body.
2. Hold the Yandere-Chan close to a wall, then at a 90 degree Angle to the wall.
3. Have Yandere-Chan hold the phone behind his back (hit the Aim Camera button) and the body will go through the wall.
My English is not good, I used the translation software, maybe the description is not accurate, I’m sorry. If you don’t understand, please tell me how I should properly report this bug?
YandereDev, YandereDev! There is a small bug that I want to write about here, and here are a few steps that lead to this. First, it is worth killing some student with a sharp object (knife, scissors). Secondly, it will be necessary to bring it to the drama club and throw it close to the wall where the masks hang. And finally, it is necessary to wait for 8:00, when some students will pass next to this wall on the street (most often it is Raybaru and a member of the martial arts club) then they’ll notice the corpse through the wall, but they won’t call the police, and you can’t talk to them. I hope you will notice this (if anything, this bug works on the August 11 build)
Hi Dev, So when using the cloaking device and then using yandere vision it freezes ayano. Idk if this is already being worked on or not but, please fix it.
I know. It’ll be fixed in the next build. 4 hours until the next build is released.
I found a bug, when you use the bodybags to wrap up the corpse at maximum Physical Education, you can wrap up a corpse at 2x speed but the sound is the normal 1x speed. so the sound effect still plays after you’re done wrapping up the corpse.
