December 6th Bug-Fixing Build

Oops! Yesterday’s build had a bug that prevented the game from spawning characters with the correct appearances. I wanted to upload a new build without that issue, but it would be weird to upload a build that only contains one fix, so I fixed a bunch of other bugs too.

To see a list of everything that was fixed or changed in the latest build, scroll down past this gorgeous illustration by Paskiz!

Fixes, Changes, Additions

  • Fixed bug that would cause Cooking Club members to exhibit strange behavior (running in place, talking to thin air) if they were distracted with laughter immediately before/after putting down a plate of food.
  • Fixed bug that caused a bunch of “You’ve been spotted! You’ve alarmed the people around you!” visual effects to flash onscreen when the player exited the guidance counselor’s office.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the player from being able to talk to the Drama Club leader about the Drama Club if he was in the backstage area of the gym.
  • Fixed bug that allowed a randomly-generated Mission Mode mission to involve one of the student IDs that has not yet been implemented in the game.
  • Fixed bug that would cause some students to spawn with the appearance of Saki Miyu or spawn as though the Empty Demon easter egg was active.
  • Fixed bug that would cause a student to permanently lose the scrubber / erasers in their hands if they were distracted during cleaning time.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the player from being able to get a low-reputation game over if they were sent home by the guidance counselor.
  • Fixed bug that would cause members of the Cooking Club to interrupt students were was reacting to murder / fleeing from crime scenes.
  • Fixed bug that prevented the game from being able to identify whether or not the player was taking a photo of a corpse or blood.
  • Fixed bug that would cause members of the Cooking Club to attempt to give food to students who were bathing or in the bathroom.
  • Fixed bug that caused the bullies’ phones to appear in their hands if the player spoke to them while they were sunbathing.
  • Fixed bug that could allow the player to be sent to the guidance counselor in Mission Mode.
  • Fixed bug that caused Megami to T-pose when she appeared in the End-of-Day sequence.
  • Changed Ajia Ashitomi’s apron texture.

  1. yay! there was too many saki’s for my to handle! also I have a suggestion, what if you made it so the cooking club could offer yan-chan food? I mean it would be more realistic and give another obstacle.

  2. Yandere Dev, it would be awesome if you could add more variation to the “change appearance” option in pose mode (like more hairstyle/the ones Yan Chan has, new faces, new outfits/uniforms, and the ability to change skirt lengths and release a student with the adjusted skirt lengths) if you could do that, it would be awesome and way more interesting. sorry to bother 🙂

  3. I can suggest that when you kill a student the next day flowers appear in your seat to attach it. I do not know, it’s just an idea

  4. hey yandere dev!
simple suggestion! but if your in the drama club then maybe when you laugh they’ll think your practicing!especially if your in the play that Kokona introduces us to.

  5. Just a suggestion, YanDev! The bass guitar in the music club should be modified or remade from scratch: it’s way too short and squat (short scale basses do exist, but they’re quite unusual). Also, on the same note, it’s strange hearing a bass solo while the two guitarist girls practice before the start of the lesson.

  6. I thought up a cool rename for Yandere Simulator. Staccato (musical term) means to play “with each sound or note sharply detached or separated from the others,” like how Yandere Chan’s life was before she met Senpai. So how about ‘LoveSick Staccato’? It sounds like a cute name, but it does have a twisted vibe to it. It also fixes the problem about the name being too similar to another game.

    • It’d sound strange for most users, especially those who do not play. Besides, staccato is actually an Italian adjective, which doesn’t really fit a Japanese game: the game should either be in English or pseudo-Japanese.

  7. erm it´s kinda hard to play bcs i don´t have a mouse sooooooooooooooooooo could u make that better? Thank you for reading!! ( lmao if u do read)

  8. hey yandere dev I have noticed a problem with the characters of the game since you said that you should have 90 and if there are 90 desks for characters, but so far there are only 75 characters counting yandere chan and senpai plus the 8 student rivals and the 5 characters that you said in a video add 8 what makes two desks over.

  9. Hello, YandereDev, I love this game so much! It’s so much fun to play and I wish I could help come up with ideas for the game, to make it more challenging. However, that’s not what I want to talk about.

The rainbow 6 male and females were very iconic for the game, will you ever add them back once Osana comes back?
Idk if i asked this or not soo here ya go.

  10. how come the house wont load? i choose a day then the screen is black then the game just shuts. i have no mods or custom textures and when it tries to load, it says yanderesimulator.exe has stopped responding

  11. hey Yandev i have a question? do you think you could please do a video on who osana’s mysterious obstacle is? is it someone who has a crush on osana? or maybe a video on SNAP mode? please? ( i am trying not to sound like Midori by the way.)
