After many months of minor updates, I think I’ve finally got a build that constitutes a “major update”! But, before I write out a list of everything that is new and different in the latest build, I’d like to share my most recent video with you.
This video covers three subjects:
- Clarifying two statements I made in January of 2016
- Revisiting the subject of re-naming the game to “LoveSick”
- Proposing alternate ways to earn favors from Info-chan, besides panty shots
Please check it out:
“LoveSick Mode” and the ability to plant bugs around school are not the only additions to the latest build; there’s much more! Please click “Continue reading” to see what I’ve managed to accomplish.
Bleach
For a long time, many people have informed me that it’s impossible to completely remove all traces of blood from a crime scene unless you’re using special cleaning chemicals. Because this is one of the most popular suggestions, I decided to implement it and see if it’s a significant improvement to gameplay.

In short, I’ve added bottles of bleach to the game, and you will now have to pour a bottle of bleach into a bucket of water and dip a mop into that water before you can begin sweeping the floor with that mop.
First Step Toward Unique Eye Shapes
I’m sure you’ve noticed this by now, but all of the female characters in Yandere Simulator have the same face. If it was easy to give everyone a unique face, I would have done it years ago – but there are complications that make it quite difficult to do so, and so I haven’t spent any time trying to rectify the matter…until now.
I recently tried out an experiment to see if it was a valid way to give a character a different face – and it worked! Mai Waifu is now the first character to have a face that is unique from the rest of the cast. Here’s a before-and-after animation:

This is really exciting for me, since it’s first step towards achieving my dream of making sure that every rival has a unique and distinct face! Actually, now that I have “face-changing tech”, I could theoretically give every character a unique face…but it’s not my highest priority right now, so it will probably have to wait.
New Lines For Senpai
When Senpai notices Yandere-chan acting creepy in his general vicinity, he comments on her behavior. I’ve heard a lot of people tell me that Senpai’s remarks make him sound rude and unfriendly. After hearing this feedback from a lot of people over a long period of time, I decided that it would ultimately be a good idea to give him some new voiced lines. In the latest build, you’ll hear much different remarks from Senpai when he spots Yandere-chan being a weirdo.

His new lines were designed to make him sound like a friendly person who is concerned/worried about Yandere-chan, but also becoming scared of her. I hope that these new lines make Senpai a bit more likeable!
Reactions from Male Students
In January of 2016, I programmed female characters to react when Yandere-chan pointed a camera at them…but I never programmed male characters to do the same thing, since I lacked the animations. Over the past week, I finally received “camera react” animations for male students – and now, you can see male students react when Yandere-chan aims a camera at them!

Additionally, all female camera reaction animations have been updated to be much smoother. I hope you think they’re a big improvement!
LoveSick Mode
I covered all of the details in the video at the top of this blog post, so I won’t say much about it here, but you can now choose to play a “dark and serious” version of the game, if you’re not satisfied with the game’s current look-and-feel, or if you just want to try something new to spice things up a bit.

I hope you enjoy it!
Planting Bugs
In terms of gameplay functionality, it’s extremely simple and bare-bones, but this is something that a lot of people have been waiting for for a long time; an alternative to taking panty shots. The player can now plant covert listening devices in pre-determined spots in order to help Info-chan gather secrets and blackmail. I hope to greatly expand upon this feature in the future!

If you tally up all of the changes in this build, there are 30 changes in total; that might be the most changes in any one build of the game! I’ll separate the changes into two categories; gameplay-related, and student-related.
Gameplay-related Fixes, Changes, and Additions
- Added Bleach to the game. You can pour bleach into a bucket full of water. To clean a surface with a mop, you will first have to dip the mop into a bucket with bleached water.
- Fixed bug that would prevent Yandere-chan from being able to speak to a student after giving them the command to distract another student, and then splashing them with water.
- Fixed bug that would prevent the push-student-off-roof animation from playing if a witness screamed as the victim was being pushed off the roof.
- Fixed bug that would cause the ritual knife’s fire effect to activate when stabbing someone with the knife after talking to the Pain Demon.
- Fixed bug that was causing half of a girl’s collarbone to turn black if the player tried to give her black stockings.
- Open the “Settings” menu and press the “R” key to activate an experimental “Rim Light” effect on all the characters.
- Changed the button interface for the Photo Gallery in Yandere-chan’s smartphone and also for her corkboard at home.
- Fixed bug that allowed Yandere-chan to use the “Offer Help” command while she was covered in blood or insane.
- Fixed bug that was preventing girls’ stockings from showing up properly on certain school uniforms.
- Fixed bug that would allow the player to get a student locked in the “noticing loud radio” state.
- Added the first-draft version of “LoveSick Mode”, a more “dark and serious” version of the game.
- Fixed bug that was allowing the player to clip into the doorways at the entrance of the school.
- Students no longer emit “speech visual effects” when a camera is pointed at their faces.
- Restored Kokona’s Wednesday bathroom event (a bug was preventing it from activating).
- Changed the way that Info-chan is lit in the Mission Mode scene.
- Removed redundant button prompts from the Pass Time screen.
- Fixed bugs with the “pouring bucket of water” animations.
- Replaced the old “Hatred Mode” hairstyle with a new one.
- Restored blood pools back to their previous appearance.
- Added the Yakuza to the website’s Characters page.
- Added one new hairstyle for Yandere-chan.
Changes related to students and student behavior
- Mai Waifu will now spawn with eyes that are shaped differently from the rest of the cast. (This only works when she is wearing the default school uniform.)
- Students will now attack you if they see you holding the decapitated head of a loved one.
- Senpai will now speak much different lines when Yandere-chan is creeping him out.
- Male students will now react when Yandere-chan aims a camera at their faces.
- Mei Mio and Ryusei Koki are now the game’s only “Teacher’s Pet” students.
- Ryuto’s profile now contains a little more information about him.
- All “camera reaction” animations are now much smoother.
- Four of the “Rainbow Boys” are now Social Butterflies.
- Haruto Yuto now has an “Evil” personality.
- Mei Mio and Ryusei Koki now wear glasses.
Fanbook For Sale
There is one last thing I’d like to mention. A photographer named ZeroSerenity, working together with LiryuuCosplay, has created a Yandere Simulator “Fanbook” – it’s 400+ photographs of Liryuu cosplaying as Yandere-chan! If you’d like to buy it, it’s available at ZeroSerenity’s online store!

What’s Next?
I’m going to get back to work on Osana, of course! I’m very happy with the speed of my most recent progress; I finished implementing her Thursday event a few days ago! Now, all that remains is her Friday event, and then I can implement her confession cutscene! I’m very excited about this!

gimme dat highschool bootayh
Hay devpai can you add another feature that combines the heart wearing pantsu and the other heart that looks like blood so that way it will be a complete option for us t beat rivals via cheats
He won’t add something like that, thats a bad suggestion , and YanDev doesn’t even want to hear any other suggestions at the moment.
Looking forward to seeing Osana being finished.
is it just me or do other people wish he’d kept the new blood puddles
I loved the new puddles
Now to splash Kokona with bleach water…
…What new blood puddles?
First?
nope, but im loving the progress on the game!
that’s a lot of profess you’ve made in just a little over a week! v(=∩_∩=)フ
looking good
I can’t wait for osana hopefully it’s ready by the 15th. Also like the bleach effect it could add a more difficult feel to the game. Keep up the good work yan-dev.
YaaaaAASSsss bish, go YanDev!!!! 😀
I’ve got an idea for the new cleaning of blood mechanism.
If the police arrive and don’t see any bodies, any weapons, no nothing, they can skip the whole “Check for blood stains through out the entire building”, but if the have been called a number of times, they will take that a lot more seriously, and actually use chemicals to detect any blood.
Since you leave blood foot prints if you step into it, police would immediatly discover you since you’d have a trail of blood leading from the crime scene all the way to you!
Basicly the police would take the first calles like prank-calls. The student run away, and haven’t returned yet, just a prank with authorities, nothing unusual. But if they have gotten a number of calls from that place, they would begin feeling unsure of it, and if the first week is passed and the missing students haven’t returned, it is clear that this in not some kind of joke.
I think that this would bring a little bit more difficulty curve to the game. Making it forgive you for not cleaning properly blood the first times, but punishing you later.
It would also be easy to add. Just a couple if statements, like “if week>1 then hard mode blood finding” or “if calls>x then …”. It would be extremely easy!
nice idea 🙂
No Police in real life would not take it as a prank the first time if your calling saying that someone just died or was killed. Now if they keep coming and not find anything then they will
Actually there was a major problem happened with Yan-chan’s school in the past so the police are most likely to avoid having anything to do with the school, so yeah even if they are serious about a murder they wouldn’t be too serious about investigating until several calls later.
Hey,I’m not an expert(I just watch IDx a LOT) but from what I know, police usually don’t take calls as pranks(for example imagine that you find a corpse of one of your friends. You go to hide somewhere safe, call the police, when the police arrive they don’t find any bodies, weapons and they don’t even bother to search for anything else, because that means that no murder occurred, right?).I think that the police only get about 1-2 cases of homicides per year(At least that’s what I heard,so don’t quote me on that),so a murder would not be taken as a joke.(Since this is shown in the game just as a screen with text,it doesn’t seem too accurate/realistic/important etc…Or maybe because we all played the game so many times,we all know that the police can’t do anything with just blood. If they find pools of blood, they can link the DNA to the student’s blood, yes, but nothing more than that.)Same for missing people, the police would take it seriously.I hope I’m not being rude or anything,I just wanted to say this,I like the idea, but I wanted to tell you why it wouldn’t be possible…in real life to say the least.I know it’s a video game and I know it would make things easier but that doesn’t mean it has to be unrealistic.Still a nice suggestion though.
It is the OPPOSITE of easy. Plus it would just be stupid.
But can we drink the bleach?
lol
We can. Not advisable though.
i am so happy about this update
it is so unique
Yaay another evil personality! And so many more exciting things… I’m excited for how fast this game’s development progress is now!
The only one thing I’m complaining about is the heart wearing panties. Other than that everything looks GREAT!
Although should Love Sick mode be released now? Can’t it wait?
HOLY!!! I just noticed Haruto Yuto has “evil” personality now! And I shipped him with miss Mida Rana!
Nevermind I take that back, releasing Love Sick mode now is a correct thing to do because the people would get the idea of what you were intending for the game to be , but please in the final version of the game put them back together as one please.
Also the new male reaction to the camera make the boys look like FUG BOYSSSSSS~ XD
I also look forward to the day when I can kill the male students just like I killed the female students. Drowning, choking, electrocuting, caught doing the dirty… I even imagined one day Yandere-chan could throw a noose at a boy’s neck and pull him up and make him choke to death. That would be AWESOME!!!
I like some ideas of Lovesick mode, though I think it might go against the “otome game gone wrong” idea. I like the idea of removing the joke names and some of the more meme-y aspects, and I think you’ll have to remove those to be taken seriously regardless. If you don’t intend for the horror aspects to be bait-and-switch (it seems like you do not), then it would probably also be advisable to emphasize those aspects a little more in the general packaging of the game. I’m not sure where you want the balance to be between the otome game and Yandere-chan’s meddling with it, nor am I sure where exactly I would most prefer it. I certainly want the game to be more serious than it is now, but not as serious as the mode proposed in the video.
An “Otome” game is a dating sim or game made for the female audience, such as “Seduce me” or “nameless” most of the time it has to do with a reverse harem.
While this game is more like a traditional dating sim or harem.
I feel like the “Final Game” should be a mix between current YanSim and LoveSick modes. Some LS bits (like Ayano’s room and more serious* names) can just be stuck in YanSim mode, while others might drift in the worse things get. And if you take enough matchmaking opportunities, maybe even some of those permanent LS bits might vanish.
*Or at least subtler puns. Maybe something Toriyama-ey.
man, yandev has made a lot of progress in just a little over a week. im exited to try out lovesick mode, keep up the great work yandere dev and have fun completing osana-chan ^^
finally, the boys now react to the camera! HOLY BABY, I’M COMING!
uh, shin higaku is still a teacher’s pet
Keep up the speed with updates Yandev! We’re all cheering for you!
i still believe that a natural progression of the mood and setting of yandere sim based on your actions feels better than the extreme contrast of cutesy and bright version A or dark and ominous version B, because it feels too clean cut, too black and white, when a natural blend would be a better substitute. anyway i love all the progress you’re making on the game. Wubba lubba dub dub!
Yandere Simulator version still has atmosphere changes, only LoveSick has things taken away from it (debug menu, easter eggs, memes, etc.).
What does he mean by “memes,” anyways?
I think he means the references to memes, or memes made from thing in Yandere Sim. So, the Fun Girl Easter eggs wouldn’t exist, nor the Fun Girl that occurs when you try to make Osana a character. I’m assuming that the demons will have been removed, if not because of the Easter egg nature, the hot knife memes. And so on, and so forth.
yay, the boys now react to the camera AND Yui gave Mei’s glasses back. this is the best update ever. thank you YandereDev
With regard to Lovesick VS Yandere sim, I think you should keep it more toward Yandere sim aesthetic. If it’s gloomy all the time, the impact is lost. But the gloom held against the contrast of what an anime gone wrong, that makes the gloom stand out. Haveing it start cheerful and get low fits the game better since you do have the chance to make it gloomy or not. Maybe keep the high gloom setting for an ultra high diffculty mode since that will set the students to be hyper watchful by default. Not to mention the sepia tone black and white is not as eye catching, colorful or memorable as the anime co lour set.
That said: the making of Senpie while he’s walking down a hallway with yandere chan following. That’s really neat, I recommend keeping that yandere sim or love sick.
I’ll disagree with the necessity of segmenting the game into two complete halves from the get go.
As the youtube vid stated the games is supposed to be akin to an anime dating sim with a twist, and like all slice of life dating anime, it’s bright and cheerful.
I feel it’s more important to allow the player to set the tone of the game than having the tone set for them.
Even in the original “You are Ganondorf and Link is sealed by the Master Sword for the next seven years, go nuts!” game series, Overlord. You always had the choice to keep the sun shining and the children laughing or cast the world under eternal darkness and eating all the ice cream
And also, who ever said the names to most NPC’s are “Joke Names” and not just how Yandere-chan identifies each character as?
Then it would be how Info-chan identifies them, since she’s the one sending all the informations.
I assume that the YS/LS divide is just a temporary thing, to help YandereDev communicate his ideas more clearly.
If they’re just Ayano nicknames, there needs to be some indication of their actual names (e.g, in Info-chan’s info, or when they talk to each other, or something).
You can fucking bet that I’m buying the Bloodlust edition of ‘Dreaming of Murder’.
Awesome! Thank you for your patronage!
I’m usually always 100% on board with all your ideas yandere dev, but this one is a first I’m not at all looking forward to.
This is because I am not happy about lovesick mode, mainly because I feel as though splitting the game into two different parts takes away from the game, it makes the game feel unified, and at that point you might as well had made two separate games. I understand that this mode does help in making the game more enjoyable for the audience who want to play seriously, but I feel as though it still can be achieved through the regular yandere simulator, say by making the current yanderesim base game more blank, with room for a choice leaning towards otome/comedy game, or horror game depending on actions. (This idea also does not do justice to a “Yandere” where they are supposed to appear innocent but with hidden dangerous intent that can be triggered, hence, lovesick might as well be its own game.) This decision also makes the game play less organic, because instead of the player shaping the world by their decision and actions as it was before, now they are presented with a clear cut choice, somewhat eliminating the variety and uniqueness of each play through. The variety will be there, but in that will only exist within the two strict, and separate parts of the game. Over all I feel like cutting the game into the two feels like its an easy way out to please both sides of the audience. I feel you should’ve created a poll for this decision, since this to me is a very large change, I hope this is not in the final game, but I can only hope you read this yanderedev. Regardless, I still love your work, keep at it! much suport and love from me 🙂
I think the Yazuka one was worse. I like this on though because it omits things people have used as evidence to call it a meme game. I also like it because it can be serve as a form of a hard mode for the game, since you know how aggressive people get when the atmosphere is low. It also does make the game more serious. Besides with the regular mode, people are their first run will go out of their way to not kill someone unless they have to. People like going for the good ending/best ending on their first one, so they can feel like they have accomplish something, so the atmosphere feature would be useless as it is right now. Lovesick mode doesn’t change that as each way to get rid of someone is pretty dark as it is already.
I assume that the YS/LS divide is just a temporary thing, to help YandereDev communicate his ideas more clearly. That’s why Kokona got a ton of content that won’t be important to the final game, after all.
Good work on the update!♡♡♡
BTW
I really think the game should stay as a combination of both modes. It being all time extra dark or all time extra cute makes it feel kinda… boring. The game is about a “Yan-dere” so in my opinion, it should have a sick side and a lovely one. (With easter eggs apart)
I think what you have planned for “Lovesick Mode” would be better implemented as an unlockable bonus feature. That said, I definitely think choosing Senpai’s appearance while stalking him should be in the main game mode. It totally works for the overall tone.
I feel like separating the “fun cute” side and the “serious dark” side in the game makes the game feel empty and split apart. Like I understand the thought process behind the idea, but the game should feel whole. Gamers who play the game killing the rivals and other students will get the dark tone and such with things like the atmosphere changing, the photo club searching for the culprit, Senpai’s emotional change over time depending on how you eliminate each rival, etc. Gamers who play the game in none or less lethal ways will get the cuter/funnier tone from things like matching up rivals with other boys, taking panty shots, finding characters with more joke-y names, etc. Part of the fun of the game itself is how the things/choices you make affect the game play.
Somethings could be changed though within each side of the game to better mix the two tones together. For example, I honestly prefer “LoveSick”‘s Senpai’s customization screen a lot more than “Yandere Simulator”‘s. The idea of making your senpai while seeing Yan-Chan in the background watching you and him is much more creative and fits the tone of the game (being that stalking is apart of both versions and that you love your senpai) much better! Though to fit both sides of the game I’d make it so he’s(or she’s) sitting down reading by the fountain with Yan-Cha watching him from behind the trees in the background without the tint. You still get the stalker creepy tone of “LoveSick” and the more “Awe she has a crush on them!” tone from “Yandere Simulator”.
They don’t even have to be big changes, like making a few characters with silly names is fine, but if you’re worried they’ll get in the way to much with the darker side of the game, then how about they’re more background characters that the player would have to actually go looking for to come across. Same goes for the “Easter eggs”, they’re things you’d have to go find or things you unlock after you beat the game.
I’m not a fan of splitting up the game into “LoveSick” and “Yandere Simulator”,
but I’ll be 110% on board with “LoveSick: A Yandere Simulator” 🙂
Keep up the awesome work Yandere-Dev! 😀
The game isn’t ready to feel whole yet. There aren’t even any rivals in it! I assume that this is just a temporary thing, a way for YandereDev to communicate his ideas clearly. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then five minutes in LoveSick mode at 30 FPS is something like 9,000 words.
Hi YanDev!
Personally, I think the de-bug menu and contrast of “Yandere Sim/LoveSick” should be available after you complete the game, sort of a New Game+. I don’t like the idea of separating the cutesy/dark tone of the game, since that is one of the great ideas that defines the game. Some things like joke names, panty shots, etc could be an optional action that can be changed in the settings.
Awesome work as always, YanDev! ^-^
I love the Bleach idea, but I think it should only be required to use bleach to clean up a crime scene if the crime would result in the police getting called. if I’m able to shiv Midori in the neck, throw her off the roof, and mop up all the blood before anyone notices I shouldn’t need to use bleach because the blood stain would only be discovered if someone used a black-light in the spot. If police are never notified that shouldn’t be a problem, because why would the police be searching the school?
I love everything about the title Lovesick and all of the new game play options that come with it. I love the idea of being able to do things differently and the fact that you could only sell a girls panty shots once per girl really limited the amount you could earn IMO, so I like that there’s now new earning methods. On the topic of selling panty shots would Ayano-san ever consider selling panty shots of herself if she were in dire need of the favor?
I feel like people are going to take the game less seriously now…
I think you should stick to the original plan.
Wow, Yanderedev, you’re making a lot of progress! Can’t wait until Osama is finished ! Now I’m off to play lovesick!
Wow, Yanderedev, you’re making a lot of progress! Can’t wait until Osana is finished ! Now I’m off to play lovesick!
Can you add the debug option to Love sick, I like that feature. Playing that now but need the debug thing. I know it’s on the other one but would be great for both.
You’re missing the whole point of the divide into two game modes.
1. Boys react to the camera? Yes! 2. Senpai’s not a jerk anymore? YES!
Sempai used to be a jerk?
…Sempai used to have a personality?
the weapons are missing from rooftop in Love sick and the sink and bucket and mop
I want to say I do love Lovesick mode. It gives it a nicer edge that a lot of people thought it was lacking. I liked it before, but now this is a delight. I do like the magenta and dark blue logo more, personally. I get migraines, and bright contrast on a black background does nothing to help me on that line. If you have your heart set on red and black, maybe just desaturate red, and lighten the black?
I’d like to make a suggestion. Since playing on Lovesick mode drops you in a more serious tone, removing cheats and various silly things, wouldn’t it make sense to make the world brighter is the player chooses to do nice things in it? Like, the dark and dreary grey is her default, only sempai can fix it. But! If she chooses not to just go around killing those who get in her way, but helps them, talks to them, fixes problems, and now they aren’t in her way, but even consider her *friends*… wouldn’t the world just seem so much brighter? The only thing that made her day was watching the one she loves, but now she has others who also love her, and are happy for her if she gets sempai.
No longer is the world dull, damp, and dark. Now everything just seems so much happier, and in fact, could easily just be happier.
There was a person messaging you to ask for your permission, Yandere Dev, to let him translate your update videos into our language so that the fandom in our country can understand the game better. I’m asking you again in here so that you won’t have to deal with the messages.
May we translate your update videos into Vietnamese?
I like the heart wearing panties 😀
I love the idea of having two sides of the game! But like a lot of people, I think the dark atmosphere in Lovesick would just take away from the game. I like the dynamic atmosphere we have, it’s one of the best features of the game! I think it’s better to let our actions determine the atmosphere than to just have it locked like it is on mission mode.
I saw people who didn’t like the split, but can I give a suggestion? Yandere Simulator could be an honest simulator and become a sandbox. Like, just remove the game over on Friday, so we can play around as much as we can without having to worry about a time limit. Like just make it so Senpai rejects all confessions until the last one, so the Friday game over only happens on the tenth week. I don’t know if the other game overs should be removed, though. I think not, half of the fun is covering up murders.
As for changing the name, whether the game will be divided or not, I can understand both sides and I know I’ll be happy with whatever happens. Lovesick is a great name!
I don’t think red and black is too edgy, but I honestly LOVED that magenta. It fits Lovesick while retaining the YanSim feel! I really think a shade of pink for Lovesick is the way to go.
I absolutely loved the info and blackmail thing! They fit both Yandere-chan and Info-chan, I love it!
I also like the tiny changes, the new lines for Senpai are totally on point and the different faces are great!
Becoming a sandbox? Not really. But adding a SANDBOX MODE to the final game is what I was behind for the whole time. Just like in shooter games, there is Story Mode, and there are Multiplayer Modes where you can just go around spreading chaos and shooting things, with certain repetetive objectives.
Well yeah, the Yandere Simulator half of the game would be a sandbox mode.
YANDERE DEV.YEEES.Haruto’s personality is Evil too! Just like my fav girl Yui!*-* Please in the furutre,i hope they become a couple. They suits together sooo bad..please!*-*
put optional dating, only feature of like, just crush no have option, put little crush, put in kidnapping of MUsume Ronshaku after that Kokona thank yanderehate option of let school go for no be victin and no have problem with police, creator help to someone get suicidal when you’re sad or for desire of dark fetish to mai wayfu after of turn friend for manga of horror and you rio do the game of whon kill, the winner kill of loses

put kokona to be partner of yandere chan or just with friend help cleam blood, enable dating girls
wrong in translate, change hate for *have
change you rio to *yui rio, other worng
When will it be ready? 😀
I feel like dividing the game in half takes away from the uniqueness of the game. The atmosphere should go down as you do bad things and if you get it low enough the menu’s change. I can’t imagine enjoying playing a game in dark atmosphere all the time. As for the easter eggs they shouldn’t be in the main game and either be in something like a sandbox mode or unlockable when you’re beat the game once like silent hill. Yandere dev if you keep trying to please everyone you run the risk of pleasing no one. My fear is that you keep making more work for yourself and if you’re not careful the game won’t feel cohesive. A good game isn’t going to please everyone because not everyone likes the same thing.
As much as I love the Lovesick interface, I don’t think that the school atmosphere should be low as we start the game. Since, the game will be possible to win without spilling anyone’s blood, when the game start, it should have a High atmosphere. As the player kills people, the should go down, just like it did before.
I think so too! What I think the game should be is a mix of the two, change the senpai interface to the more interesting screen, and I love the new game title screen, But I think the main idea should be about the same, and maybe he should turn the easter eggs into actual easter eggs, things you have to find, but only after the game is released because then all of the youtubers will find them before its released and he’d have to move them again. Also, when the game is released the debug commands should be eliminated completely because those commands were added to the game to make it easier to test out game mechanics!
I completely agree with you
The friday event and confession only left now? Unity 5 is a complete game changer! Literally! In a good way! Loving the progress yandev its really starting to feel like a game and not a sandbox even though the first rival isn’t in the game just yet.
If the debug commands or easter eggs arent in the final game, you could make it a secret mode where you have to do a certain thing to unlock a mode where they are available
What’s the game at 6:39 mark?
Hey, just wanted to say, a mechanic to replace Panty Shots would be great. I feel like it’s the last thing holding back the game from reaching a wider audience.
Like, you describe the game to someone, and you can see the gears turning in their head:
“Murder? No problem, it’s 2017. Stalking? That’s messed up, but sure, fits the character. Torture, blackmail? Getting dark, but I kind of like it. … Panty shots? … Is this some sick perverts game?”
It just doesn’t fit with everything else in the game. I understand it’s an anime trope, but it’s one of those things that don’t mesh too well with western culture.
I like the idea of having an “Immersion mode”, without the memes and easter eggs. Maybe going all the way to the dark atmosphere is a bit of an overkill, but it could be toned downed a little bit, so it isn’t as cutesy as at the start of the “Meme Mode”
YandereDev, YandereDev! I think that if some gameplay-unrelated students (not suitors or important characters) will have their own events in the game, the game will become more realistic.
looks at Kokona
He’s got some groundwork for that.
It would be neat if the unimportant students’ events related to each other and to important students. Say, one of Ayano’s first-period classmates is a friend of Amai’s, she has a few scripted events, and they’re dependent on (possibly among other things) how Amai is doing.
I think that the senpai customisation and opening to “Lovesick mode” are actually really interesting. But a large part of what makes YanSim so interesting is the juxtaposition between the bright, cheerful environment and the … less than bright and cheerful acts you commit as Yandere-chan. I’m really interested in seeing how the game grows from here (✧∀✧)/
No! Please don’t change the name of the game! “Yandere Simulator” says it all! There are tons of serious simulators: Flight Simulator, Train Simulator, Euro Truck Simulator, etc.
You might notice a commonality between those. They all sell themselves on being accurate simulations of various vehicles. I’m pretty sure that Yandere Simulator fails on all of those counts. Plus, when people think “simulator”—especially when the first word isn’t a vehicle—they think of something between Goat Simulator and Airport Simulator. However you look at it, Yandere Simulator does not fit in any extant “simulator” genre.
Plus, I’d argue that LoveSick says as much as Yandere Simulator…while also fitting the tone YandereDev said he was going for much, much better.
I definitely prefer the look of Lovesick mode to the debug build of the game, however I also liked the changing atmosphere when students had been killed. As a final opinion though, the Lovesick versions of the menus and UI look a lot better.
I know right?! I completely agree with you!
