The Curious Case of Kokona Haruka

Sorry for the wait! Here’s the latest video.

This is another “tying up loose ends” video; a video where I discuss a lot of subjects that I’ve always wanted to talk about, but never had a reason to bring up in the past.

    • Now that being first for the first time in any of these things is out of the way, allow me to ramble on. What if we make Kokona and Kizana the same person? Like kokona is the regular girl and Kizana is her stage name and nobody knows they are the same person because anime/Sailor Moon and Phantom Renegade logic! Seriously anime “mysterious” characters are sooooooo easy to tell and makes you wonder how those people in the anime see their way out of bed!!!!

      • Hey Yandere Dev, you could always make Kokona and Kizana cousins in the game. It could be a family resemblance. Kizana could also berate Kokona for being poor even though she knows about her father’s debt. Kizana could also get away with treating Kokona horribly at school because she lends Kokona money to pay off that debt; so Kokona has to do what ever she says, like change her hairstyle.
What ever you decide to do, I’m glad Kokona is going to be in the final game.

      • I like both of renee Hunts ideas, both sound reasonable and would fit into the game, and would also keep her in the game.

      • How about instead we make them siblings? Kokona being the more timid but still cool person while Kizana being the Snobby Princess Big Sister. Kokona already has the Domestic Abuse, so… Domestic Abuse from Kizana and Family????

  1. I’m against to the “Everyone with the same hair color” in the clubs. Would really be cool if all of them had red flowers in the head, but Purple hair? Meh.

      • What’s it like to be a fat 13 year old with no future? I’ve always wondered how you people feel when you need a crane to get you out of bed, so that you can go to your computer.

      • Darrius Scott Nobody knows what it’s like to be you. My condolences. So far it’s only you who spams this blog as if your opinion would be relevant.

As usual anything against the general rule of dicksucking here gets chased with pitchforks by the overly slavery 12y old fangirls/fanboys this community has build. Must feel bad to see valid points in your toxic bubble.

Core mechanic delayed for one year. Man you guys are true fangirls for sucking that. Decided I better use that 30 bucks on a booze instead following this slow poke game development any further.

      • Just bevause they’re disappointed doesn’t mean they aren’t interested in the gang and aren’t hopeful for sonething new to be added :/ I know there’s a lot of people lately that have been coming back for some odd reason when they’re done with this…but that doesn’t mean everyone…I was disappointed it wasn’t an Osana update but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be coming back. I keep coming back in hopes to see an Osana update.

      • Meowess Well…Then leave if you’re so frustraded with the speed of the development i think it’s better if you just stop following the development.

      • Or how about pedaling faster instead producing videos that could be done AFTER there was a rival added.

How long will we talk about osana while doing something else instead working on osana? Last time it was the main priority. Well when I have a main priority I don’t do something else first.

Nice playlist of wasted energy. “Just stop following” whats this time fanboys. Hes working really hard or more of that “lets bring up unrelated points so I dont have to work on the core mechanic” playdooh? Progress is something else but keep buying the news

      • He’s capable of doing this on his own? Yeah overly defensive fanboy stays a fanbase. Most likely the prematures that don’t know when to stay out of other peoples shit.

      • Its pretty entertaining to see you defending an old men who cant be bothered to finish his damn ass work but instead keeps posting useless videos to keep you dumbfucks entertained. How about do what people are expecting instead shipping cowshit en masses?

Or many years more till this goes out of alpha.

      • Meowess, not to mention that this videos aren’t as much for entertainment as for making yt revenue for him, lol.

      • I call them sweet 10 mins of distraction. When it’s too much to focus on the bigger picture just feed them smaller problems to care about.

      • Meowess Did you miss where he said that he won’t be able to have updates all the time anymore because he’s implementing much bigger stuff? He can’t get Osana done if he spends a bunch of time updating us on smaller stuff, so not having an update now might be a sign that *GASP* he might be trying to work on the big things.

      • Lol another squealer commenting.

What you trying to archive? Writing a comment where you make your points invalid.
Nice job – you just did that.

Not having an update now means there was an update on the 11th. Means nothing.

      • Ok, I don’t like to step into internet drama, but I saw this mess and I needed to say something.
Meowess, you do realize that he probably hasn’t made much progress on Osana? Otherwise he’d most likely tell us. And I’d personally rather watch an interesting video like this one than see him try to make a video out of nothing just to please people like you. Also, he can’t tell us EVERYTHING about Osana, you know. That would spoil the whole thing. Why don’t you go out and do something instead of standing around and yelling at YandereDev for not wanting to bore us? And if you’re mad because he wasted his time on tis video, he only did that so people wouldn’t get mad at him for not making a video.
Also, if 28 is your idea of old, then maybe you’re the 12 year old here.

Nope no need to say something as read the above.
Wonder how much people it needs till the fanboys understand the above text.

      • Meowess I guess you put a lot of money into this thinking for quick results. Sorry buddy, all your stacks aren’t going to make this go any faster (ideally it should) and you should’ve realized the reeeeaaally long game you’re playing (Pun intended). End goal, prize, finished product. Speed be damned generally I just want the damn thing but hey patience is a virtue and not a lot of people have that. I’m not sure in your case though but hey, thank YOU for giving comedy gold with that chart. Like most jokes useless but funny

      • I don’t know whats so hard on that.
I DONT NEED CHILDREN TO RESPOND TO THIS POST. I GIVE A SHIT IF YOU LIKE THIS OR NOT, OR WHAT YOUR FUCKING OPINION IS.

QUIT INTERFERING YOU BUTTHURT BUNCH OF WHINNERS. I GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THAT.

I’m waiting for the dev to respond why he delays the completion of the game.

Not what his army of minors has to say. Since this manchild cant write a fucking statement in 2 days.

      • Meowess And thank you for adding evidence to my theory. You do seem to have something invested in this and now I’m more confident that it’s either money or some emotional state of yours. As I said before, this thing is the long game and you are just a fan like me. You would be lucky if he answers you and even IF you pay him on Patreos that’s a majority of said payers that don’t whine. He owes you nothing at this point.

P.S some friendly advice “So far another day, another dumbfuck who can’t read” Do better than this because not only is this untrue but it’s just bland. I know your frustrated but geeze…..

In other words don’t try me, I will bug you till the cows come home or until this thread breaks (or until you silence it either way I win). Take that as free advice or a challenge, I don’t care. Your chart was still funny though, very creative 🙂

      • I agree with meowess partly.
On one side i support yanderedev, i’m sure he’s not used to this fame and pressure so fastly, and he’s probaly doing his best but getting really mad and handling it in the wrong way.
        but meowess makes good points.

    • I normally agree with some of the ‘bad’ comments, but come on, he is working at least, and planning things.

      • Meowess, it appears you are throwing a tantrum like a little bitch. One of your main points is that he can make his own defence, and your not wrong, but if he did that do you know how much time he would be wasting? Your the one complaining about him being slow and people like you are part of the problem!

Your also being completely irrational and can’t agree on what you want.
You claim the game’s development is slow, could you do it faster? Game development is slow, it can take years. Game development with only 1 developer is VERY slow. And an ambitious project with only 1 developer is EXTREMELY slow.

Now if you are to claim Yandere Simulator is overly ambitious, that would be a different story. Although with Tinybuild partnered with Yandere dev It should go faster.

And before you start screeching in the comments, no Tinybuild has not yet had any direct involvement with the game’s development yet, they are simply working on translating Yandere Simulator’s code to Unity5.

And I know exactly what your going to say if I don’t clarify and at least attempt to get this through your dense skull, Osana herself is fairly easy to implement, a few interactions and some lines etc: It’s the school and everything else around her that needs to be changed, If the “demo” containing Osana is not as polished as possible, the kickstarter will fail and Yandere Simulator will never be completed. So even if Yandere dev has made no significant progress directly to Osana, it is still one step closer to having a finished demo.

And yes, Yandere dev will launch the Kickstarter after Osana has been finished and the game has been polished. So really the true goal here is a demo. Osana is simply the star feature of the demo.

You also say that these videos should be done after Osana is complete. First of all, some of these are important things that should be done before Osana’s completion. And others are simply topics that need to be discussed eventually, so why not now?

Let me explain this to you, if he went god knows how long without posting anything other than a “I’m still working, It’s fine.” Every few months do you know how fast the game’s fan base would dissipate? People like you would spam email him “Where’s Osana, I want Osana!” And guess what? No fan base = No game.
So not only is you saying that completely pointless, but it’s actually counterproductive!

Hopefully I have cured your idiocy. Actually, no I know I didn’t. People like you would rather live in a world where they are right rather than accept when they are wrong, so even though me, and the majority of the fan base know’s I’m right, there’s a select few who will deliberately choose to deny the facts because they can’t accept that they are wrong. And you are one of those people beyond saving.

    • I mean at this point i think you should stop following the development and come back when the game is complete because in every single blog post Yandere Dev makes you always complain about something it’s either “I’m dissapointed” or “Why is there no progress on Osana?!” and i’m 100% sure that when Osana is implemented you’re still gonna complain about something…And by the way there is NOTHING wrong with criticism and i’m not saying that Yandere Dev is immune to criticism just because i like his project but…It’s a little ridiculous that you don’t have a single good thing to say about Yandere Dev

      • When I was enthusiastic about this project, I (among all the fans) was promised a game with very nice premise. I still want to get this game. This is why I’m going to still follow this project for a while and complain while promises aren’t kept. I want to see the end of this project – whether good or bad. And I would love to see game finished with all promises implemented.

      • Yea i do understand why you’re worried about the game. And i will admit some of the criticism you gave to Yandere Dev were pretty good(Because it is pretty annoying when Yandere Dev promises to post a video on one but then the video gets delayed).

      • Meowess Seriously though like i said before you should just leave because unlike Shobusenpai it looks like you don’t have a reason to stay here…Other than trying to annoy random people for no reason.

      • Already said it 2 time I don’t negogiate with unrelevant people to the completion of the game.

So far this fanbase is comedy gold. Empty points, getting involved when never asked to for an adult clearly capable of making his own explanation.

Here’s again the version for the very slow minds.

It’s hilarious how the only one speaking is a silent queer. Maybe you randoms shouldn’t exaggerate the situation any further as you already did and wait for the official response that won’t be happening anyway.

      • Heh guess you’re right it’s useless to give your comment any attention.Though you did have a point but sadly the way you presented that point just seemed immature…And dumb which makes people take you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less seriously.

      • Yet nobody asked for what you think. This isn’t about what you think lol. You fucking moron, your opinion is irrelevant

    • Meowess Jesus christ i’m not even lying i’m just looking at your responses and i got the biggest smirk on my face this truly is comedy gold watching you have a mental breakdown in the comments is just hilarious

      • Meowess still has a point tho. Yandere Dev is an adult and should respond to criticism. And this is not possible because almost every critcal post is flooded with hate from fanboys and fangirls that can’t accept that everyone doesn’t need to like everything if you want to comment on it. You seems to be one of reasonable fans imo, so I think you’ll understand.

      • Yea he definetly does(I’m just gonna assume Meowess is a he)Though the way he presents this point is not “The greatest”the way he presented the point just seemed immature which makes me(atleast)take him less seriously.

  2. I think it’s weird and uncanny that all characters have the same colour scheme. For the occult club, I could get that they all have dark hair (varying shades of black would be nicer than all the same) but the same eye colour? They already have the necklaces to differentiate them.
With the Drama club, the drills thing looks silly, and they don’t all need purple hair, just a rose or something that you can see and be like “oh boy, drama club” or you could give them club jerseys or something.

One other thing, there is a model for scissors in the game, is there not? With Kizana’s personality, I don’t think she’d be fine with Kokona just changing her hair, she’d probably ask you to f*ck it up. Or, alternatively you could f*ck up Kizana’s hair as part of the “sabotage event” elimination method.

    • I love that idea with the scissors, that would be a great sabotage event considering how much Kizana cares about her looks. Don’t think I could bring myself to do that to Kokona though, poor girl.

    • I think the same! I didn’t really like the “all the club members will be similar” thing either. It would take all the originality and individuality off of each of them. (ps: sorry for the bad english ‘^^)

  3. I LOVE the idea of Kokona as the tutorial girl. In a sense, that’s kind of what she is already, so it feels like a fitting purpose for her in the game. I’m so glad she won’t be removed from the game entirely!

  4. couldn’t she be her sister? or cousin? 😀
    I like the tutorial idea.
and the hair style change thing.
maybe you bully her to change her hair, but right after kizana would lose interest in the hair style and chance it

  5. Ok, firstly, seeing Kokona kill Yan-chan was surprisingly satisfying. You go Kokona!

Second, I really like the idea of Kokona becoming the tutorial. It will allow her to still be a pivotal character and a vital (sort of) part of the game. For everyone who has been following YanSim’s development, it will be something familiar, an inside joke of a sort. And although we’ve all been honing our murder skills with her all this time I don’t think very many people would be happy to see her go. Personally, I love Kokona. Even when I’m killing her.

Losing everything that makes her special, like her problem or her secret or those ridiculous octo-dogs, will not be fun, but if it’s what keeps her in the game I say do it. But, if you don’t mind me voicing my opinion, I think leaving her be, not as a rival, but as an easter egg, would be really neat. You could still discover all those things about her and even befriend her, but it won’t be necessary for the plot’s development. Just something fun to do on those extra days of the week when a rival is already sleeping with the fishes. Maybe she could even be a red herring. Players think that she’s a rival but in reality, she’s just a decoy. Then they discover too late that they’ve been stalking the wrong girl and she never even liked Senpai in the first place.

  6. Please please please put the Kokona drama club tutorial in the game, it’s not only a great nod to her role during development but it’s also an interesting way to put a tutorial in the game while still having it feel natural in terms of story. And although I’m not keen on the ‘drills hierarchy’ idea (maybe use roses instead so it’s a bit like the Occult club chokers?) I do like the idea of Kizana changing her hairstyle each day and insisting Kokona changes hers when she copies it, that really does show the kind of person Kizana is. Overall I’m just really pleased that Kokona is still going to be in the game, and I’d definitely be up for seeing her as a DLC rival (I’d pay money for that in a heartbeat).

  7. Like a lot of people in this comment section, I think it’s weird this hairstyle story involving all thé girls have similar hairstyle and all the members have the same hair color :/

  8. I really like the idea of her being a tutorial. Maybe her debt could be in the tutorial too as a quick intro to methods with that (though I think that could a long tutorial). If that ends up not being enough, she could always be something like cousins Kizana though that seems far off to me. I also like the idea she changes her hair everyday!

    • Me too i love the cut scene when se tries to get her to change her hairstyle and it would be amazing in the final game but i like her changing her hairstyle everyday is super diva like

  9. I really like the idea of Kizana trying to force Kokona to change her hair, it makes sense, and in that way, Kokona can still be in the final game and we’d still be able to see the difference between them easily. Whatever happens I hope Kokona will be in the final game

  10. So many drills. I like Kazana forcing Kokona to change her hairstyle better. Shows the character’s personality and solves the problem in one go.

    • Me too but i think after yanchan eliminates kizanna she should go back to wearing hee twin drills again

  11. I believe changing Kizana’s hair daily would reflect her character nicely. It would show she’s a very indecisive person, giving the impression that she could and probably would easily go back on her promises and pretend things in her past doesn’t effect her if ever said or did anything insensitive or wrong.
I believe there should be special days where Yan-Chan can perform tasks for Kizana, basically days where Kizana wears her hair in twin drills (as there seems to be days where she has multiple twin drill hairstyles). It would give the players a time limit of when to approach or get on Kizana’s good side, she’s a rival so she should be challenging in befriending and such.
However, on the hierarchy of drills, maybe there should be another way of determining who’s more important than the other (also because once Yan-Chan manages to persuade Kokona to change hairstyles, the hierarchy of twin drills will seem a little off if Kokona has her hair down). Perhaps coloured ribbons around the neck or an increasing number of badge/buttons? Like how karate belts move up a rank by its colour; white being the weakest and black being the strongest. Or how scouts get badges on how much they’ve completed a task or earned points of some sorts. If it’s approached this way, the ranking could be gender neutral for boys too.
And if Kokona does change her hairstyle, she should maintain some curls in her hair just in case players can’t recognise her without her twin drills.
These are just my options but the direction of the ideas in the video so far sounds great for the development

      • That sounds good too since their club symbol are roses if not mistaken. Perhaps roses pin to their chests? Is there any other rose like accessory for both boys and girls? But it’ll be a little funny to me, I’m just thinking about Tuxedo Mask now, pulling out roses under his coat.

  12. I’m glad that Kokona is not going to be removed from the game or forgotten~ I agree with the idea of having her be the “tutorial” character, perhaps even more elimination methods can be unlocked by becoming friends with her.
I also like the idea of Kizana forcing Kokona to change her hairstyle, it would be a good way to implement many core game mechanics, either do the favor for Kizana and be friends with her, or sabotage Kizana instead and keep Kokona’s hairstyle
That said, while I agree with the idea that club members should share some traits, I disagree with female club members should all have twin drills hairstyles. I think curls would be a better option, that way you can have the twin drills, long curly hair, short curly hair, curly ponytail, etc.

  13. I like so hard the idea about change the drama club leader rival’s hairstyle, fits a lot of with her. Also, the mission in order to change the Kokona’s hairstyle to show the personality of drama club leader. Of course, if you will do a tutorial, the Drama Club is a perfect excuse, I love it.

  14. I was thinking, maybe Kizana and Kokona could be sisters. Maybe even twins. And maybe Kizana was jealous of Kokona’s hairstyle she’s had for a couple years and changes her own to make it look like Kokona stole her hairstyle from Kizana.

  15. I think that drill hair for the drama club’s hierarchy is a bit much, plus with this method you can’t tell where the boys stand. In my opinion it would be better to use roses to suggest one’s place. Let’s say the closer the roses are to the head, the higher up they are, then having Kizana wear rose in her hair shows she’s the leader, the female student that has been there longer than Kokona could wear a rose attached to a choker, one of the male students could also have the same choker design, (but have the rose facing left instead of right) and Kokona could wear her’s as a bracelet, the farthest away to show she hasn’t been there very long. For the remaining guy would suggest having a rose in his shirt pocket (fancy, I know) or just have a bracelet like Kokona since he could be new as well.

  16. I loved this video! it’s been a while since i’ve been pleased with the game’s development and although we didn’t get a new build i’m not annoyed (mostly because we got it on the 11th and the rest is because i just love kokona)

(YES MAKE KOKONA MISS TUTORIAL I LOVE THAT!!! it keeps her unique and important and i love that)

now for (the rest of) my opinions:

i like kokona having to change her hairstyle as kizana’s task; i think it demonstrates perfectly both their personalities–like yandev said, kizana is unoriginal and selfish; kokona gives into peer pressure–and handles the problem instantly; i don’t like kokona’s hair down though, it looks weird after all this time so maybe a drill ponytail is better suited?

i don’t like the “twin drill hierarchy” i feel like it takes away some of the characters’ uniqueness; if yandev really wants everyone in the drama club to look simular (which i don’t think is that bad an idea but will give my full opinion below) then give everyone the same accessory–roses

side note: to me, the two girls don’t look that simular so i don’t think changing kizana’s hairdo everyday is really necassary; that being said, if yandev did implement a daily hairstyle i wouldn’t get angry about it, it helps demonstrate kizana’s personality and whatever hairdo she wears last is the one she keeps when she becomes a normal npc so depending on which day you eliminate her (if she’s still alive and goes to school) she’ll look different for different players–which is also pretty cool

    and we’re back

if everyone in a club looks the same then it takes away some of the stealth aspects in the game–the photography club loses some of it usefullness since you won’t need them to find out the club of npc’s; the martial arts club kids all have the same accessory, but look different, they are still unique npc’s who are in the same club, this is why i want the rainbow six to stay in the cooking club (though maybe give kokona’s empty spot to one of the rainbow boys–MORE BOYS IN THE COOKING CLUB)

anyway, the simular look works with the occult club since they’re all wierd and creepy, trying to look like clones of one another seems like something they’d do; however kizana doesn’t seem like someone who’d apprieciate being surrounded by people who look simular to her, she wants to stand out that’s the reason her bullying kokona works so well for her character; no one in the gaming club looks simular to each other either and it works

i get where yandev is coming from with this, but it just doesn’t work in favour of the game in my opinion; the responsabilty to not kill off club members and close a club needs to be on the player, yandev is making it too easy

  17. I don’t get what people are so hyped about this video. It’s only bunch of ideas – not even implemented features. I guess majority of fans like their headcanons, ideas throwing and speculations more than the game itself

    • Oh yeah, so this is all of the ways to kill her and this is how you do this that and this, spoiling the best part of the game just because you care soooo much about a character.

  18. I think if all club members having the same hair color just makes it feel like they’re variations of one character. They should be diverse but still have a single key aspect alike.

  19. ahhhhh i really like the video why yandere dev did u have to show really cool features that will take a while or not even be in the game now i’m so excitd

  20. I love the Kokona tutorial idea! However, doesn’t it seem wrong to just turn Kokona into a regular background character after she’s become such a major fan favorite? What’s wrong with keeping her as a fellow student with some special events? Unintentional fan-favorites like Kokona are a real opportunity for Yan-Dev! She doesn’t have to be a rival but why not build her up a bit? If you run with the tutorial idea that she unintentionally inspired Yandere-chan, then why not have Kokona latch onto her too? You could have a few small scenes throughout the game where Kokona tries to “help” her “friend” by giving her an item or providing some useful information or reminders. Since there will be a system for students to ask Yandere-chan for favors anyway, why not have a special series of favors from Kokana with special rewards? She could unintentionally provide Yandere-chan with some item for the Senpai shrine or be involved in the special elimination method for the drama club. “Hey there! You know that guy whose always reading? The one the captain’s been scouting? Well, she ‘volunteered’ me to take this script to him but, ugh, I’m super busy! I’m sorry I’m always asking you for help but . . . could you? It’s really important. The captain wants his opinion on which side of the stage to enter from . . . .” Thus the stage is set for sandbag deployment! It would be a great way to keep her important without necessarily making her too important and it could easily be bypassed by having the option to kill her for real in the tutorial and I assume there’s already a non-Kokona way to implement the drama club kill. Having her could allow for more variation in gameplay which adds replayability and gives a little bonus to Kokona fans. If fans like their Kokona, shouldn’t they be able to keep their Kokona? Nobody puts Kokona in the background corner!

  21. I like the option of making Kokona the tutorial! Please make it happen yanderedev! But I dont like the twin drills idea for the club thing, i think the roses can represent them :))))) But any idea of yours yanderedev will be acceptable, I just think it is too much for ALL the members to have twin drills.

  22. I see no reason why Kokona’s hair should be changed. You know why? Cause the two hairdrills are distinct enough to NOT be confused! Besides, once you manage to implement the unique stockings for the girls, you have even more of something to differentiate them.

Adding more drills as hierarchy is a dumb stupid idea. Even if it’s “Oh, anime exaggerated”, it still looks dumb. May I suggest that, if you change Kizana’s hair, it’s that side ponytail? Either that or something akin to the Scrapped Princess look: http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pacifica1.jpg

Especially with the idea of her coming across as royalty and feminine, both associated with very long hair. But I am against the idea of Kizana changing her hairstyle repeatedly. Players need to learn a consistent look of an imporant character. Making her look different all the time is confusing and can make her appeal pale and easy to forget. Just thinking “Spiked hair” and what characters are likely to appear in one’s mind? Goku from Dragonball and Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy. Changing a recognizeable feature like that a lot does the opposite.

The tutorial idea is neat. Though I find it weird that a Yandere needs to be ‘given the idea’ of getting rid of rivals lethally. It’s kind of in their blood – especially in Yandere-chan’s case!

  23. I LOVE these ideas (apart from the hierarchy drills…) and I’m always happy when you upload one of these videos!

  24. I really like the idea of Kokona, the “development tutorial” character, becoming the in-game tutorial character.

It would be a bit of a shame if all of Kokona’s character was stripped away for the final game. It seems like such a waste. Is there some way to balance “keep that stuff” with “make her unimportant to the main plot” and “don’t cause unnecessary work for Yandere-Dev”?

  25. When you mentioned Kokona having a tutorial role, I imagined her wearing some cute and dorky-glasses with one of those pointers. I do like the idea of using her for a tutorial role.

I know you don’t like it when people suggest major ideas, since they stall development time, but I also thought of another thing regarding Kokona- Have you ever played Fate/Stay Night? It’s a VN that got adapted into a well-known anime, that everyone here should know about.

In Fate/Stay Night, every time you got a bad ending or a game over, you had the option of watching the “Taiga Dojo” scenes, where two characters; Taiga Fujimura and Illya, would comically explain what you did wrong and what you should do next time. While they were very mood-whiplash-y (as a lot of the bad endings in Fate tend to get very, very dark), they provided some good comedy for an otherwise serious story. Does this sound familiar to any BlazBlue fans? This was the basis for the “Help me! Professor Kokonoe!” segments, which featured Kokonoe being Kokonoe and berating every character for sucking at their job.

So I thought it could be interesting if Kokona served as a “Bad ending” adviser alongside Info-chan. Perhaps Kokona is the “Shoulder Angel”, advising more passive and non-violent solutions, while Info-chan is the “Shoulder Devil”, advising more aggressive and violent solutions. Or maybe these “Bad Endings” would happen at the end of the week and then the “Bad-End Corner thing” would happen. I highly doubt you’d add this in, or even consider this though, since it’d be a lot of work to write the dialogue or even create the setup for it, assuming it doesn’t follow a VN-like format. Still, there’d be a lot of writing.

Anyway, I also like that idea you had with Kokona as a bonus DLC rival. I find it hilarious in a black-comedy type way. “They killed Kokona (again)!” “You bastard!” Maybe it should be called…
    REVENGE OF KOKONA
    (Dun dun dun dun dun!)

  26. Glad to see Kokona getting some more love. Her becoming some kind of “mentor” to Yandere-chan/the player and (perhaps) making her some kind of “DLC rival” sounds like a very good idea. Now, if only Midori-chan could get some love, too. The player should be given the option to hook her up with a certain somewhat tsundere, yet-to-be-implemented gaming club member who is currently developing a yandere simulation game and who goes by the name “Geemu Debu-senpai”. I’d ship the living daylight out of this couple!

  27. I don’t like the idea of the same coloured hair when they in the same club. Why don’t you just give them the accessoires that become Yandere-chan when she joins a club.I would like this idea much better 😮 but is your choise what you make not my’s.

    • Maybe only on Kizana’s week, she seems controlling and would demand that they dye they’re hair.

  28. The more you showed them together, the more I thought they were sisters of different classes. And the more I thought of that, the more I thought of how it might work. If you do wind up keeping them both unchanged, I’d put their scenario like this.

Kokona and Kizana were separated at an early age after their parents got a divorce. You see, the father was infatuated by the mother’s grace and status and out of pity the mother accepted his proposal, marrying into her rich family. Eventually, she discarded him after “not wanting to bother with him anymore” causing him to go into a downward spiral, not to mention her stripping him of everything he had. (Explaining why he’s emotionally unstable and broke.)

Because he couldn’t support two girls, Kizana was given to the mother (explaining why they’re so psychologically different).

Kokona could even have a dialogue after Kizana’s dead about how thin their relationship was, even admitting that Kizana was kind of a bitch.

    • That’s a great idea! Although Yandere Dev said Kokona’s backstory would be removed (but possibly not as a DLC?) Anyways, I think it would be better if they actually did have some sort of relationship as twins.

It could show that Kizana isn’t just the stereotypical character we see her as and actually does have a sweet side towards her sister, maybe she has deep trust issues and thus feels the need to control the people around her because she feels that she can only trust herself.

But there would be a select group of people who she feels she can trust and can be open to, Kokona her twin would be one of them.

    • Who cares about Osana, everyone knows there are more important things to discuss about – Kokona’s hair and future DLCs.

  29. I think you should just keep Kokona’s backstory. Its perfect and Senpai barely appears in it at all.Kokona could be just one of those side characters you could help to gain information or acess to a new area.

P.S:I love the idea of Kokona turning Yandere Chan into a killer

  30. New video
This is my drug ration from Yanderedev
I like the rosses like special drama club accesory and the kizana´s hairstyles changes idea, that could make it looks cool and one special NPC or different rival.
Rainbow girls should stay in the cooking club but with you logic, they should have a special
accessory , because if you kill the rainbow friends on osana´s week,
Would the club close for Amai?
Im happy with all your ideas in this game ❤

  31. If Yandere Dev will make a task from Kizana to convince Kokona to change her hair, she won’t suit the hierarchy of drills. If Kizana will change her hair every day, she won’t fit the hierarchy either. That means using all of this “fixes” is just plain stupid. Hierarchy of drills is dumb alone for countless reasons. Also… Why would Yandere Dev make cheat code for changing Kizana’s hair and eye colors if she’s rival and will have official artwork with basic hair and eye colors? This cheat code should change Kokona’s color scheme, not Kizana’s. The tutorial idea is pointless, because it would take place at first day of school, when there is no club activities yet, so there would be none play to help with.

Also, Rainbow Six’s surnames are names in reality? That’s extremely unfitting and immersion braking.

    • I completely disagree with your opinion on the drill hierarchy, but maybe the “Tutorial” could take place the previous year, on some sort of tour of the school.

  32. Quick thing I noticed. Kizuna probably shouldn’t refer to her own hairstyle as “drills.” Ojou-sama type characters with drill hair styles, like Selina from “Ladies vs. Butlers” and Luvia from “Prisma Illya”, typically refer to them as “tube curls.” When other characters call them “drills” these ojou-samas get angry and say something along the lines of “they’re tube curls, not drills!”

If you want Kizuna to fit this Ojou-sama trope better she should probably say “tube curls” instead of “drills.” Just a thought from a fellow weeb.
