The last build had some unpleasant bugs in it, so I’ve decided to roll out another one. Scroll down beneath this somber-yet-beautiful artwork by leylenmonster to see a list of everything that is fixed or different in the new build!
Additions, Changes, and Fixes
- It is now possible to change the portrait of Yandere-chan that appears in the Stats screen. Navigate to the StreamingAssets folder, open the text file named CustomPortraits.txt, change “0” to “1”, save the file, and then replace CustomPortrait.png (also located in the StreamingAssets folder) with any image you’d like.
- Fixed the bugs that were preventing custom eyes and custom stockings from working…again. I swear that this time it’s actually working! I’m sorry that it took me multiple tries to fix this problem. 😦
- Fixed bug that would cause the player to fail any Mission Mode mission if they attempted to leave via the “Go Home” portal rather than the “End Mission” portal.
- Fixed bug that was causing Yandere-chan to emerge from a changing booth nude instead of wearing her school uniform.
- Fixed bug that allowed the player to make a panty-hiding shadow appear on a character who was not wearing a skirt.
- Fixed bug that was causing the panty-hiding shadow to appear on female characters who were wearing club uniforms.
- Changed one line of text in Budo’s profile. This change is actually related to Osana. Have fun theorizing how!
- Fixed bug that made some classrooms not have a little wooden platform for teachers to stand on.
- Fixed bug that was causing houses to appear in the laptop girl’s video feed.
- Fixed bug that was preventing Nemesis from being able to kill Yandere-chan.
- Added a backdrop behind the neighborhood in front of the school.
- Fixed a typo in the credits.

I have an idea for the mirror (I know it’s late but I want to share it)
this mirror could represent the 5 emotions yan-chan will learn during her Senpai quest. (I know she’s suposed to be emotionless. that’s why I say ‘learn’ and I’ll also explain why my theory could work despite this)
my idea is that the 5 persona’s are, in the order : timidity, pride, kindness, determination and anger.
we can see yan-chan’s timidity while walking around Senpai.
we can see yan-chan’s pride when she sais rivals don’t deserv Senpai like her.
we can see yan-chan’s kindness during befriending animation
we can see yan-chan’s determination … during all the game.
and we can see yan-chan’s anger when she kills.
now there is a problem: yan-chan is suposed to feel nothing.
what if yan-chan just didn’t have the chance to feel somthing in the past or already feels something but just doesn’t notice it?
I have three arguments for this.
1: the past of Ayano:
if we well see the familly of Ayano, there is Ryoba who has only one heart for her husband and I’m not sure she has true love for Ayano.
and for the father, even if he wanted, it should be hard to love the daughter of the monster who killed your girlfriend.
without love from her parents, she was condemned to feel nothing during her childness. after that, it’s hard to feel something.
2: if she doesn’t feel anything there should be no game:
without timidity yan-chan should have talked to Senpai long ago.
without pride, she should have accepted that Osana loves Senpai
without kindness, befriending shouldn’t exist
without determination, yan-chan should have stopped following senpai cince the beginning
without rage, there wuold be no death
3: when Ayano kills:
Ayano has a sanity bar where Ayano becomes madder and madder the more and more she kills.
but if she’s really unsensible, why does she have this sanity bar?
in Hit Man, agent 47 has no emotion and he could kill all the earth without having any mental traumatism, but Ayano … it’s like she lost her mind.
strange for a girl without one.
to conclude:
Ayano has no feelings before meeting senpai. these are not unexistant, they are asleep.
during the firstmeet with senpay, yan-chan’s emotions waken and then start the game.
so yan-chan is not as emotionless as she thinks. it’s weak, but existant. and these feelings are the one we see with the mirror.
that’s long I know but it was essential to well understand the theory.
anyway, that was fun. I’m wandering what yanderedev is preparing with this.

anyway, if what you say is true, these animation wouldn’t be related to emotions. that’s right
I keep the previous theory in mind. Even if it has nothing to see with the mirror, what I said about yan-chan’s familly, the sanity bar and even what could happen in the game if yan-chan didn’t felt some of the listed emotions could be intresting for another theory.
However, what I try to know is what these persona could represent
by looking at these name, it looks like postures you could have with some people. but the question is “will we be able to change this posture by our onw will (by interacting with a mirror for example) or will is it the game that decide what kind of persona you have (in that case, the mirror is like turtle and we won’t be able to interact with it in the final game)?”
if we can control it, probably these personna are only comedy we could use to adapt our attitude depending on the person we are speeking to.
if it’s not the case, maybe we are less farther to my initial theory but this time, these are personalities we are going to develop by performing actions.
For example: if you play as a murderer, if you join delinquents or if you see your rival becomming to lovelly with Senpai, probably you could be seen with the tough persona.

You’re welcome, I use the cutscene command to add in all Ayano’s and delinquent’s animation into one of the student to find it out what are those idles’ name, you can put in using this command:

After that, edit Kokona and go into existing animations, and find those idles and you can enjoy all those Ayano’s and delinquent’s animation!

I think the mirror is not gonna be lost in the final game, cause Yandere Dev said: “Added a new debug object to the Light Music Clubroom that allows me to test out an upcoming feature.” So maybe this is a feature…

That’s a very cool theory!I dd think of that too but not so deep like you do.You’ve made this theory very good and it didn’t bothering me that it was long,instead it was very interesting!Also I have one point to add to your theory:We get the ability to heal senpai’s sanity by giving gifts or nice notes to him.Yandere Dev said in his video about it,that it would feel the player that yan-chan is not so emotionless as she seems.Maybe he meant that she isn’t emotionless at all,like you said,just were asleep before she met senpai and her feelings slowly waking up.That feature could show us that yan-chan is really not so emotionless.And another point is that yan-chan doesn’t force senpai to love her.Her mother forced yan-chan’s father to ”love” her.But yan-chan tries to win senpai and not forces him to love her.She could never kidnap him and force him to love.She would never hurt him (maybe in SNAP-mode but in this time,no one knows what really happen if yan-chan turns to SNAP-mode.We just can assume that she’s lose her control and maybe kill senpai or just her rival and herself or something.But these two points also show that yan-chan isn’t emotionless as we all was thinking.I hope my own thoughts could give you and everyone who is reading this more example’s that yan-chan isn’t emotionless or learn her emotions/her emotions wake up.Thank you for looking on my own thoughts and found some new example that support your theory! 🙂

what if like with Senpai, Osana and Budo knew each other and Osana was the one who pushed Budo to go farther and farther. budo could love Osana but with Osana who love Senpai and it’s our job to make them together.
in my case, I’dd find them fine as a couple. maybe a little dangerous if they both want the last word during an argue but without that, they seems quite apropriated. moreover, Osana seems to like courageous people and who is more courageous than budo masuta in this school?

I think it is Osana’s sister ( remember Osana’s house? Remember “sister’s room”?). And do you remember how YandereDev once showed a picture of Yandere-Chan about to kill Osana however there was somebody behind her ( female) and how he mentioned something about “something making it a little harder to elliminate Osana”?

I know that one of Budo’s line has changed, but it only mentions he defeated the old President of the Martial Arts, and for some reason that’s related to Osana. well in that case what could be the link between them? I three ideas:

Oka match making partner is the Guy that sits in the Middle of the front part of the room in the Occult Club, his Crush sign is also "???" ^^ Each rival will have a non-lethal way of getting rid of them, be it Expelled, or fired (in the Subs and Nurse's case), or Matchmaking. So maybe new side characters will be introduced. Such as a Male teacher for the Sub/Nurse. Who knows. Its all up to Yandere Dev

Remember in one of YandereDev’s Osana videos, he said something about something we didn’t know about protecting Osana!
And I with this new info… ok. Theory time!!!
Budo inherited the marshal arts club from a boy who had a crush on Osana. After being humiliated, he could not confess to her, being so embarrassed! So, to matchmake Osana, you have to help him deafeat Budo in a duel, and restore his confidence to win the dating mini game by the end of the week.
Or Osana could be the previous leader of the marshal arts club, or the popular theory… Budo (haha just mistyped that as Bufo) is Osana’s suitor.
That’s my opinion, anyway. ( =

I like your theory but there’s a gap in it: the person protecting Osana was supposed to be a girl since in YandereDev’s video the art concept that appeared when he was talking about this new feature was a girl’s hand so I don’t think Budo is the one protecting her. But I might be wrong and maybe YandereDev just had this idea and decided to change it so I’m sorry if I’m mistaken. Now personally I also don’t think he’s her suitor since he’s practically perfect for Asu Rito (as much as it hurts to say since I’m an AyanoxBudo shipper) but the theory of Osana being the previous leader seems really cool actually! I mean, just imagine this amazing plot twist! Anyway, that’s my opinion.
It could just be that Budo would be a sort-of bodyguard of Osana, (maybe the Martial Arts Club Leader/s had to take an oath to protect a random civilian, and only the leader gets to do that) and so if Budo’s crush is Osana, then he would even defeat the former club president just to get a valid reason why he had to be Osana’s bodyguard without her being suspicious of his true reasons of protecting her (since his reason would be his feelings for her.)
I just formulated this theory since YanDev mentioned that he would post another video on March, since if in February there is Valentine’s Day wherein girls give chocolates to the person that they like, and so in March there would be another holiday wherein it is the boys that give chocolates. There is also a concept art that only showed an arm preventing Ayano from killing Osana, and I suspect that Budo being her bodyguard would be the owner of that arm.
In the end, it is just a bunch of Budo x Osana stuff.

I’m gonna be honest, I cannot see Osana x Budo working out. Also, a lot of these theories about Osana being the past Martial Arts club leader just seem too far fetched. I’m not sure how this relates to Osana, but I highly doubt that she was the Martial Arts club leader at one point. Maybe they were friends and the old Martial Arts club leader was being a creep to Osana so Budo fought and defeated them so nothing would happen to her. But I’m pretty sure the “him” that was seemingly being threatened by this creep was Taro, not Budo, seeing as Taro is Osana’s childhood friend.

Maybe the person who calls Osana is the same person who defeated Budo, so he is bothering Osana and Budo have to face him so he will not continue to bothering her, also he is his suitor, so he is willing to help, I think… But in my opinion he is a better couple for Asu instead of Osana.
