Here’s a progress report on some things that have been happening lately, and a few previews of cool stuff that you can expect to see in the near future!
This is one of those videos that doesn’t really need much of a blog post to go along with it, since the video itself is fairly self-explanatory. With that said, I do have one thing to ask you:
Should I implement the maid cafe minigame now, or should I implement it after Osana is finished? Please vote on the poll below:

so… seems to me that he was trying to make a longer, more explanatory video and he decided to delete it and just go with this cuz he didnt see it as perfect, or simply art work wasnt finished. The video itself doesn’t look like it required an extra day unless he started to make the video the day of.

i thought so too for awhile, but then that video came out with the club leader silhouettes and it changed my thinking; honestly i just want midori to move around more–she still just stands on the roof throughout the day right (i haven’t played any new version for awhile so idk)? i can’t wait to see her routine! i’ve wanted to see her in the gaming club room for so long!
I know it’s my own fault.. but the scientist looks like Nagito Komaeda to me.. then I imagined him and Ayano dating.. now I’m kinda scared.
Personally, while I believe that Osana is important to implement, I also think that promoting the game and adding new features is important too. If YandereDev implements new characters and features, it gets us that much closer to Osana, and keeps us entertained while he works on her.

i completely agree! he did say that osana is supposed to give us a feel of what the final game will be like so it makes perfect sense that before he brings her in he’d want to finish as many minor things as possible; personally i can’t wait for the new class rooms/club rooms and i’ve been extremely excited about getting the pool since forever!
YEAH! NOT TO BE LIKE… in the start when there wasn’t fully implemented senpai to stab rival chan and win the game. there must be much more. like the club leaders and…much more

Okay, I’ll sound super harsh with this, but I feel like I have to say it.
Why would you bother wasting your time on this stupid crap like the maid café minigame? Focus on the stuff that ACTUALLY matters! Osana! Fixing the school up, since THAT is where the game is taking place! Perfect THAT part, before you add tiny little minigames.
Jeez! No wonder it’s taking forever to complete the game. You keep coming up with ideas and focusing on concepts, instead of working on the core aspects of the game. (The ‘promo videos’ don’t bug me)
The game is like a house, YanDev, remember? You need to build the foundation first; then the walls, ceiling, roof; painting the inside and THEN you can add the furniture and little decorative items. What’s the point of putting the furniture or little decorations into an empty, two-wall foundation of a house? No point! It doesn’t matter, because that stuff shouldn’t be there until much later, at least until you can live in the house.
Out of the things shown, the only thing that seems to make sense to delay Osana is the whole climbing into a building – so, this probably has to do with entering Osana’s place and fudging things up. (Or entering Senpai’s and stealing some of those collectibles)
Seriously, YanDev. I WANT to play the game. As in, the game of Yandere Simulator; where I get rid of rivals and get Senpai. The school. The clubs. The weapons, etc. I don’t want to play “Dating Sim #4928” where I can work in a Maid Café (which doesn’t suit Yandere-chan, anyway).
PS: The sketches of Kizana’s potential alternate hairstyles: I’d pick the 4th one, because it’s one that looks the most unlike other characters.
He would put a way that Yan-chan can gain money anyway, in this report he just asked if we want it now or not. You just have to say yes or no, chill.
Yes, the maid mini game suits Yan-chan because this game have a lot of anime tropes and the maid thing is one of them. If you care only about get rid of the rivals so download the game when you could murder everyone and just it, this game stopped being about just being a yandere a long time go.
i agree and disagree with you; i too think that yanderedev needs to focus a little more on osana since it seems like he hasn’t been for awhile
having to wait for assests is understandable; having time taken up by corresponding with tinybuild and volenteers is understandable; what is not understandable is the constant other projects he’s putting a lot of focus on–above i made a comment that i’m really excited about all the other things we’ll be getting, such as club rooms, new characters, the pool, etc. and that is still very true
however i agree that all of that can wait until AFTER osana has be completed, not nesassacarily implented and put into a build for the general public, just finished. if he went that route THEN filled the school with everything else it needs it would be better i think in the long run as we wouldn’t have to wait for the other rivals as long as we have for osana, since there’s no other background stuff he has to do
Too bad guess what, people picked on the poll to have a job minigame instead of an allowance she gets from her parents. Too bad but your opinion won’t change much. It’s the community that decides what the game will be like but YanDev influences what they want with his videos. If he didn’t influence you then I’m sorry you are left out but stop whining. Also you mentioned that house part right? Well in my opinion YanDev is expecting money to be a key part of the “House” because more interesting ways of eliminating your rival and that’s exactly what YanDev wants. P.S. When you said DATING SIM i mean you sortve have that as one of your options for eliminating rival by matchmaking.

I feel like Pinkie Pie when I watch these vids because I get so excited and happy yet nervous too. I really love the way this game is developing and I worry something will go wrong and yet every update I’m like “whoa, is Yandere-Dev making this game just to make me happy or something?!” The sadistic elements mixing with all of this cheerful happy school life stuff is just pure distilled awesomeness for me! Also, I’m soooo happy to see that Kokona isn’t going away and apparently she isn’t changing either! I’ve found myself really liking her and I kind of hope that Yandere-chan gets multiple chances to actually improve her life while simultaneously going after senpai. (I know Yandere-chan is a yandere but even yandere’s need a few “pet the dog” moments and I can’t be the only one that wants to play as an initially “mother’s little monster” that slowly develops feelings). I always expected Kokona and Kizana to be sisters or for Kokona to idolize her (a nice “whoa, technology” would be specific students having extreme reactions to rival deaths based on their love / lust toward those rivals) so I kind of like them both having purple hair. Still, I like that platinum look in the vid. Urgh, whatever Yandere-Dev does is probably going to be perfect anyway.
I really do think it should be AFTER Osana because as soon as he finishes the mini game, he’s going to then start work on ways to use the money from said mini game.

Just do it after Osana. You know the first main rival who is very important that you keep delaying to do something nobody asked for? And now this is just a question out of curiosity. Do you always have to kill Midori? She pretty much represents your younger fanbase and constantly killing her looks pretty bad honestly.

Hey, as long as progress is being made on the game, I think most of the community is going to be happy. Doesn’t matter what that progress actually is. To be honest, I kind of like Kizana’s design being similar to Kokona’s, but if Yandere Dev wants to change it, then that’s okay, too.
