EDIT 3: Uploading right now! Needs about 20 more minutes!

EDIT 2: It’s almost ready! The video is finished. I’m going to bug-test the latest build, and then upload the video and the build. It should be available in about 1 hour from now.

EDIT: Right now, it’s 6:00 AM in my time zone. I’ve spent the past 8 hours working on the next update video. I predicted that it would be done by now, but it’s turning out to take longer than I expected. Right now, I’m about 50% done with the video. It will be ready sometime on Jan 16th, but I can’t predict exactly when. I’m sorry for the wait!

Shoot! I won’t be able to reach my personal goal of releasing the new update by midnight tonight. However, I do think that it’ll be available within 8 hours.

To make up for the fact that you’ll have to wait a bit longer than expected for the next update, I’ll share a screenshot with you. This screenshot features something that will receive some focus in my next video:

I wonder if you can correctly identify the object in this screenshot that be receiving attention in my next video – or the reason why I’ll be focusing on that object.

    • Having read a few more comments that came after, I’ve decided to change my theory…

      He had reduced the number of hiding spots in the game, thereby reducing the object count and increasing the frame rate!

      And if *certain theories* are to be believed, Yan’s shoes are different, which indicates that this update will herald the arrival of the much anticipated shoe-changing mechanic (much like the panty-changing mechanic), which will buff certain elements of gameplay at the expense of giving us foot odour!

  3. It must be something to do with Osana’s phone call and what she says during it, which will probably be related to her gossip and befriend eliminations. Aahhh, I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen!

  14. Just a little theory but, I think that maybe Osana might record or take pictures of Yandere Chan doing bad things(killing people, taking panty shots), and then send it to Senpai. But maybe you could steal Osana’s phone and delete the picture. The last screenshot had shown Senpai glaring at Yandere Chan, so maybe he finds out it could be an instant game over.

  16. I see she has a cute little cat charm on her phone.

    Idk about anyone else but Yandere-chan looks pretty angry to me.

    From some of the romance anime I’ve seen, friends and even couples sometimes get matching phone charms.

    So I think maybe Osana got matching phone charms for her and senpai. And of course Yandere-chan wouldn’t be happy about that at all.

  21. Maybe the table? YandereDev keeps calling the game a stealth game, and that would mean a lot of hiding from enemies, so the hiding mechanism could have changed.

  25. Well first thing coming to my mind when seeing the screenshot was that it might have something to do with her phone charm. Like, you could steal it from her and throw it somewhere in the trash. Senpai would see it and become angry and sad as it was a present he gave to her long ago. If you haven’t ruined her relationship with him enough till then, she will go to him and say it is a misunderstanding and that she lost it so someone else who found it had thrown it away.

    However, that are just my thoughts. Keep up the good work YandereDev!

  27. I’m calling it: The FPS. My Proof? Osana is too obvious, the phone is just a prop, the hiding spot though not on a wall (it looks weird), the hall is nothing new, therefore it must me a significant piece of progress and by process of elimination from this picture it must be the FPS.

    Or just Osana in general, either way I’m happy because NEW UPDATE! 😀

  29. Some people have found out that Osana had the task to find her kitty key chain in the maze when you were able to put Osana in the game. So maybe her task is a/the focus of the video

  33. Its the phone charm from the task but i still have no wonder on what she’s doing with it my best suggestion is probably something with her phone call.But if that phone charm is the object yandere dev will be focusing on its probably one of the elimination methods.

    ~Osana stopping mid call because of Yan-Chan and something happens? (Good or Bad)

  35. Wait yanderedev! Osana has her cat face on her phone?

    knowing that she loose it in the maze and knowing that her phone call is probably the one of the “stalker”(if it’s a stalker).

    does it meen she’ll loose her lucky charm it in the maze because of the call?
    does it meen she’ll run by depression into the maze after her call and loose the cat head during her crisis?
    does it meen … you won’t be able to do her task until she loose the lucky charm?

    the object you are focusing could be the lucky charm because ,like Ryuto’s bandana, there could be the time where she has her lucky charm, the time she looses it and the time she gets it back.

    that could also meen that to make some quests and become friend with the corresponding students, we’ll have to wait the event where things are going wrong. (for example: Ryuto has to loose his bandana because of the wind, Saki has to throw her bra above the school wall, Riku has to see the kitty)

    The new update could be about the event during which a student will open the access to their quest.
    maybe we’ll also learn more about her side quest.

    anyway, that’s becoming better and better. keep that way. 😉

  36. Maybe she looses her phone charm and Yandere chan finds it for her as a task? I’m not exactly sure maybe she’s just taking a call. It does leave me wondering what the task for her will be though.

  37. I think it may be the cat charm on her phone. The task makes you go get it so that is where my guess is coming from. It could be a mic? A cam? Idk. Whatever it is if that is the item, I am gonna love the next void and the next biggish update

  38. Is it me or is the school layout different? I could’ve sworn those doors were closer to the table. If not, then it might have something to do with the charm, probably a microphone or something on it. My question is why isn’t Osana reacting to Ayano just watching her with that evil face? It’s possible it might have something to do with reaction features of yandere simulator. That’s my guess. I’m interested in the reaction feature so I’d like more of that anyway. Just my guess.

  50. I think the phone charm will probably have to do with her task.
    -She’ll lose it and we have to find it (Basically Saki’s task)
    -She’ll lose it and we have to steal one from another student (That would be fun)
    -She’ll lose it and we’ll have to buy one from somewhere (Info-chan, maybe?)
    Or perhaps all of the above.
