A Note About E-mails

Wow! It’s been about 6 months since I’ve mentioned the subject of e-mails on this blog! Fortunately, I’m not here to complain about getting too many e-mails; I’m making this blog post for a completely different reason.

My e-mail service was having problems over the past 24 hours. If you sent me an e-mail in the past 24 hours and haven’t received a response, please e-mail me again!

I’m not even sure if my e-mail service was even giving people an error message when they tried to e-mail me, or if their e-mail was just disappearing into the void…

By the way, on the topic of e-mails, I do have one other thing to mention:

“I tried to download the game and my download didn’t finish” is not a bug, so please don’t send me ‘bug reports’ about that.

I know that you probably come to this development blog to see blog posts about development, and not notes about e-mails, so I’m sorry that I had to take up your time with a blog post like this. There is simply no other way for me to instantly spread a message to a wide number of people, some of whom may have been trying to contact me. This is actually the first time I’ve ever had to make a blog post about technical problems happening on my end.

If you’d like to hear an actual update about the game’s development, here’s what I’m willing to say: I will probably have a new build of the game available in 3~4 days!

    • He gets a lot of emails, and he says that it takes him about six hours a day to read, respond to, and take care of all his emails. It’s nothing personal, but he probably has either taken care of what you wrote to him about, or he decided that he’ll spend his time some other way.

    • im so looking forward to her too!! its so exciting to see the game come together and the first rival being implemented. ive loved her concept and her personality since the beginning! she’s so cute 🙂

  2. Quick question: What’s Megami Saikou’s motivation to stop you if you did a “pacifist” run? (no deaths/negative eliminations. only hooking people up [because her character page says she knows there’s a dangerous person on school grounds…])

    • That’s actually a very good question ._.
(Btw, you shouldn’t do that, because if you matchmake every single rival to their suitors, senpai will become lonely and you’ll get an unsatisfying ending)

      • Not sure about it being unsatisfying. I imagine he might just be happy that one girl finally confesses to him, i.e. Yandere-chan…though there probably will be some other form of consequences. Then again, that’s just my idea. We won’t know the endings until the game, but since he won’t have lost sanity from seeing corpses, he’d probably be in a better mental state than most other endings, haha…though I’m definitely also curious about what Megami’s motive might be in that case.

    • In the current version, Ayano uses an earpiece and crouched behind a tree, so maybe somebody saw her there and thought that she was being creepy?

You seriously don’t have a single reason to apologize for something like that or late updates. You’re doing a lot for us developing this game, spending your time on it and keeping us up with the news, so I’m sure most of your followers won’t mind you making posts like these, late updates or you taking a vacation! I myself am happy whenever I see a new post here and I don’t care much about what.
Thank you for all your work!

  4. Omfg If you tried to download the game but failed, than just re-download!If you have crashes every time you play the game, check the freaking out-put log.It will most likely say file game not available. The only solution is to re-download

    • As he said in the “about” page, he’d probably won’t be making one because the tons of resources it’ll need… yet, nowadays phones are being more and more powefull, so maybe someday…

  5. Actually Yanderedev mentioned the subject of e-mails 15 days ago in the 2016 annual report where he mentioned that the third most watched blogpost was about complaining about the e-mails.

  6. Don’t worry about what you post on here! This is a development post that is related to the game in a way. Even if it was a more unrelated topic, true fans like to know what is going on even if it isn’t actual development on the game. You’re creating an amazing game and sharing the progress with the rest of the world, you shouldn’t be worrying about us. (I think you might be turned insane by the time you finish the game, I’m a bit concerned). Good luck to you and the team on working on Osana Najimi! We will patiently be waiting for her arrival.

  7. Hey Yandere Dev! I’m a really huge fan of the game and I love every idea you come up with for the game. I’m only 11 and I can already tell that this game will be pretty much the only game I will ever play. I love anime so much and I love how it is turned into something none kawaii or cute and it is a unique idea. Thanks Yandere Dev for the awesome game.
