In the past, I have always tried to upload a new video and a new build on the 1st and 15th day of every month, right when the clock strikes midnight (in the PST timezone). The video I’m currently working on is quite an elaborate one, so I won’t be able to hit the midnight deadline tonight.
This video is is going to be around 10 minutes long, and it usually takes me 1 hour of work to produce 1 minute of video footage, so it’ll take me around 10 hours total to finish this video. It probably won’t be ready tonight…however, I feel very hopeful that the video will probably be finished less than 27 hours from now!

I have a question. Is it going to be possible to use the same elimination method for multiple rivals? If the answer is yes, then how does the last rival fit in if you manage to clear through the game using only the matchmaking method?
I believe it is possible. If you don’t harm anyone, then Megami won’t hate you.
She don’t like us because we’re stalking senpai . So even if we kill nobody, yandere-chan will continue to being a bad person because she’s stalking a boy, and she’s playing with the emotions of the others students.

I think you must hurt the other people in some elimination methods to do that though. Like in the befriending one (Musume was mindbroken)

Well after she was kidnapped she wasn’t the same girl she used to be. Her eyes were grey and stuff so that’s why I called her mindbroken.

It is possible but if you use the same elimination method TOO many times, it will affect Senpai. For example, if you use the Matchmaking with every single rival (or at least the majority of them) Senpai will think that he’s not attractive. Too many girls leaving him for boys? I wonder what Senpai will think if someone used the “Befriend” elimination on all 10 rivals? Maybe it won’t affect him because the girls will tell him that “someone better than them” will see him when the time comes…
I feel like the only elimination method that won’t be possible to use more than once is: The Friendship and Betrayal Method
Well, we will be able to use the same elimination methods. The last girl Megumi will react due to how you treat the other rivals. Yandere-Dev said that the last rival can either end in bloodshed or be peaceful. If you kill every girl, make them disappear, bully them, cause “accidents”, generally hurt a person in the school, then Megumi will be hostile. The one elimination method, Matchmaking, will make senpai think he is never going to find love, but Megumi will most likely take notice that you aren’t the vile creature she thought you were since not a single person was harmed in any way. Thinking you aren’t finding love is minor since that can be quickly fixed by Ayano taking him as her boyfriend.
I guess we’ll finally be able to win the game

I don´t think that the two characters of the confessing cutscene are yandere-chan and senpai, because she is supposed to do that after all her rivals are “out”. I think the girl of the cutscene is osana, it would make more sense. We will be able to eliminate her, but…she will also be able to succeed…..

oh my dere! I am so excited for the last build of this game. I have been really looking forward for YandereDev, the voice actors and actresses, the artists and many more that helped the Development of Yandere Sim to finish this with no problem whatsoever! Thank you, Yandere Dev. This game really helped me starting to make simple manga comics for some reason, I just love getting references from this game sometimes (not that much). But I’m really excited for you to implement all the rivals in the game. Though, I am not letting Yandere Dev hurry, but I am patient enough for Yandere Dev to finish his masterpiece ❤

I was wishing for a male Yandere to be available in the game but I don’t like his short hair. I think he looks better & hotter with a slightly longer hair, for example the first pic of Yandev from his twitter. In that way he is now..he looks similar to Senpai …and I don’t really like it actually I dislike it. They shouldn’t look the same, he needs unique hairstyle like Yan-chan, her hairstyle isn’t similar with other rivals or other girls particularly in her school, the same should apply to Yan-kun. I hope that Yandev will consider my opinion IF he’s going to make a Yandere protagonist option able to the game. I’m really happy that he considers it. I like Yandere males more than females tbh & I’d like to play with a male chara, male yanderes need more love & support. They’re more hard to find than yan-females.

There are specific rival elimination methods that aren’t implemented yet. Each rival will have one specific form of getting rid of her,and probably,senpai’s sister one won’t be harmful. If senpai’s sister died,Senpai would be depressed forever.

Actually, I think ‘love’ should be emphasized on that. Yandere-kun views Senpai as his possession, it’s not love in any way.

yeah i feel that yandere chan, despite being evil, has genuine “lobe” for senpai (in an obsessive way, though) which is a MAJOR part of the game. I thonk the sadistic thing would mean that yan-kun wouldnt really “love” senpai but would only be possessive over her/him becaus eits his property. For example, yandere chan wants senpai to be happy, but a sadistic yandere kun doesnt care if senpai is happy…he would only care that senpai is his

Here’s my guess –
The video will be about the next major update, which will be the first one to feature the first real rival Osana Najimi and the ability to successfully complete the first week at school. Photo no. 3 is probably taken from a new cut-scene that takes place on the first week’s Friday night if Ayano successfully eliminates Osana.
The game will then skip to the third week – The second week will not be possible as no real assets for Amai Odayaka exist yet, however Kizana Sunobu appears to be heavily based on our favorite punching bag Kokona Haruka (which will be either completely removed from the game or become a normal NPC and her hairstyle changed to avoid confusion) – Probably most elimination methods that apply to Kokona today will apply to Kizana, as it’s hard to believe that a lot of effort (e.g. the befriend cut-scene) will go to waste.
Regarding the rest of the photos –
Photo (1) – I believe it’s from a new part of the introduction or alternatively from the first week ending cut-scene, where Ayano learns from Info-chan that there are many more girls who want Senpai, which causes her to feel very helpless at first.
Photo (2) – Very obvious, taken from the very beginning of the game. We can see Osana so we know that at least her animation rigs and usual routine are already fully implemented. I’d also guess from this photo that she’s not incredibly clingy and will spend some time apart from Senpai (I assume the incredibly clingy one will be the sister).
Photo (3) – Already discussed. Conversation with Info-chan on Friday night after eliminating Osana.
Photo (4) – Introduction to the third week (which will actually be the second on the next debug build), where Ayano imagines Kizana and her popularity.
Photo (5) – Maybe an animation rig for the game ending? The characters seem to be Ayano and Senpai and the object on the right seems to be the cherry blossom tree so this looks like a confession sequence. It’s possible that this will be included in the next build to allow the player to successfully finish the currently available game-parts, or maybe it’s just a teaser and we’ll wait a long time for that cut-scene to be fully implemented.

Yandere-kun should be exactly the same as Yandere-chan personality wise. Senpai-kun and Senpai-chan are exactly the same, so Yandere has no reason to be any different. Also, just a thought, I know it would take a lot of resources to do this but my sibling and I were thinking it would be cool if the sex of the rivals was the same as the chosen protagonist. So choose Yan-chan and they’re all female, Yan-kun and they’re male. I noticed you specified girls for Yan-kun to “possess” but I hope we’re still able to pick between kun and chan for Senpai regardless of protagonist :/.

Even if he doesn’t make a Yandere-kun, we know we can make Senpai a girl and our protagonist would be a girl, and all the rivals will still be girls which means he isn’t really ashamed to do same-gender relationships or anything so I don’t worry about that. If he would implement Yandere-kun, senpai could totally be a boy as well when we chose him.
There is a distinct difference between a female yandere and a male yandere. If you want to research it, there are plenty of sites.

All of these characters give the game a life! I literally watched the Rival Introduction Video more than 10 times and looked at the characters, read them so many times.
I think Yandere-kun being unlike Yandere-chan would resolve a completely new story mode, new cutscenes and new dialogs. If you can do those you can use that personality.
But if you can’t, I am completely fine with him having the same personality. And for me, it woulf actually be better that way and wouldn’t slow the game’s development down.

As far as I know, info-chan was originally gonna be a final boss for the game. (Making the games name ironic as she would be a yandere). However, I’m pretty sure I read that the plan had changed.

Ooh, Yandere-kun! 😀 As fun as that would be, I do understand if it’s a bit too difficult to implement for the main game. Maybe not quite as long if the rivals stayed the same, having to swap those up would honestly probably be a completely new game. I don’t make games so I’m not sure. Either way, I’m curious and excited for the next update!

Ok. Let me see if I can pick apart these screenshots.
Maybe the first screenshot is Yandere-Chan upset about all of the girls who are after Senpai? Maybe she’s a little scared that one of them might actually take him away from her?
I’m guessing the second screenshot means Osana is gonna be implemented. I hope so, having a real rival is gonna be so exciting!
The third screenshot is pretty obvious. Yandere-Chan is asking Info-Chan why she hates Osana so much.
I don’t know what the third screenshot is all about. Looks like Kizana being a show-off.
The fifth screenshot.. Hm. Maybe.. Yandere-Chan will interact with Senpai sometime during the game? (Aside from the endings, of course). That’s most likely not it, but it’s all I got.
That’s what I gathered from these screenshots, anyways. I could be way off, but it’s something.
I meant I don’t know what the fourth screenshot is all about.
If Yan-chan comes from a long line of Yandere women, then perhaps Yan-kun’s version of the story could shift it so that he comes from a long line of Yandere men. Of course, that would mean he would have an alternate set of parents, a Yandere father and a normal mother, which would mean more assets and voice acting for them and anyone who talks about them, like the journalist. And then there’s 1980s mode to consider. It would be interesting, but making him inexplicably the first male Yandere of the Aishi family would probably be much easier. Even if he did have alternate parents, 1980s mode being Ryoba only would be understandable.
Is that last Imgur shot the story of how Yandere-chan and Senpai met? We’ve never seen that, have we?
I am so hype, i’ve following yandere sim for last year and a half, i randomly stumbled upon one of the orginal elmination methods when i fell in love, and watching it fall into place is fantastic! Thank you for all your hard work Yanderedev, you are truly a great person, and I look forward to the full game. 🙂

My guess is that the video will talk about things that need to be done before the first official rival is implemented – or maybe suggestions as to which new features will be added next.
this is what I think of the images in order
1- Yan-chan feels isolated, and alone because these girls keep going after the only thing she has
2- Osana has finally been added, so now we have a real rival
3- Once you’ve eliminated your rivals, Info-chan will contact you, and you will possibly find out why she asked you to do this, but she might not.
4- I have absolutely no clue to be honest
5- You finally have the 3D motion capture ready for the confession scene, or you are at least in the process of finishing it
