I think the stockings are new. She had them in videos (Like in, “I Want My Senpai Back”) but not in the game.
Time for speculation!
1. The aquarium is a cheat object for now. The options are obvious. I think ‘Forgive Sins’ will make Yan-chan… immune to being arrested. Maybe it’s a joke option?
2. Stealth kill, and Midori was summoned through the aquarium as the victim.
3. Sanity-based kill. Sanity lowered and sanity-based animations enabled with aquarium.
4. Weapons were given using the aquarium. As you can see, in the second picture Yan-chan is holding a katana and in the third one she’s holding a baseball bat. (It would be a pain to get the katana from the front of the school, even more so with the bat. He definitely used ‘Summon weapons.’)
tl;dr Stealth and sanity-based kills were implemented and the aquarium is a temporary cheat object.
