- Fixed bug that could cause the murder-suicide scene to be interrupted if Yandere-chan aimed her camera at Kokona before the mind-slave began to attack her.
- Fixed bug that would cause Occult clubmembers to not sit back down in their seats after being distracted by a giggle or by Yandere-chan speaking to them.
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan’s laughing animation to look strange if she was holding clothing at the same time as she started laughing.
- Fixed bug that would cause a mourning student to pop into a happy pose if the player aimed a camera at their face while they were mourning.
- Fixed bug that was preventing Kokona’s voiced lines from playing when discovering a note in her locker.
- Fixed bug that would cause Kokona’s name to appear twice in the event of a murder suicide.
- Fixed UV mapping problem that was causing issues on the nurse’s character model.
- Fixed bug that would prevent the player from speaking to male students.
- Improved the mind-broken slave’s “standing up” animation.
- Improved the mind-broken slave’s sitting animation.

They could always choose a different method to dispose of the body. Granted, the discovery of a corpse never necessarily meant you’d get caught, a least not if you’ve cleaned every other evidence of your involvement. However, something tells me that not covering it up with the corpse of a small animal would forever eliminate your chances of using this same corpse disposal method again.
The point is to teach the player that getting away with murder is never easy. Every corpse disposal method imposes a challenge on the player, be a strategic or psychological one. If you want to burn a body, you must keep an eye out for violent delinquent characters from time to time. If you want to bury a corpse, you will have to kill a small creature.
I agree, you should keep the concept. If you really feel uncomfortable, you can change the kitten to another type of animal more people might be more open with like a squirrel or something, or multiple options to disguise scent, but please don’t let the negativity people are giving from stopping your creativity. It is your game, after all.
I rather kill the squirrel. It would be a challenge since they can run and climb trees just like a cat could.
Just to be mean, you could also add an option to add onions or chilies to the soil, so the dog would just whimper and not be able to smell anything in the soil. In other words, lost of sent for twenty-four hours.

Adding to my squirrel thing, I would actually like to see a school with squirrels that approach humans for food like in University of Houston.

Stray cats can be killed in the wild, so why not at a school? Besides, people are fine killing insects, snakes, spiders, bees, wasps ect anyway, so why not a cat? (Other than the fact cats can kill, and could fight back)
I was never fine with killing an insect… I remember one time I by mistake hurt an insect I was crying and praying that god would forgive me for what I did. I see now that most people don’t feel sorry for a poor helpless bug that was just trying to get food so it can survive and feed it’s family π¦

police dogs are trained to not be distracted by simple smells like food or animal corpses. they are trained to find dead bodies. and the fact that there’s a cat buried in the garden is suspicious enough to provoke the police to dig further, because it’s such an obvious cover up. if the cops stopped caring after digging up the cat, either it’s an untrained dog or a rookie police officer.

Doesn’t the headmaster actively true to make the police have their investigation as short as possible and is bribing them to do so. I think the headmaster would go out of his way to reassure the police that it was really just a cat, but that’s just what I think, and I’m an idiot.

I have read a oneshot manga about a class that raised a kitten in their school, and then some upperclassmen started to abuse the kitten and eventually killing it, the class then buried the kitten in the school ground (the main heroine actually killed-cursed- the upperclassman for revenge, but that’s a different story). Some Japanese people buried their died pet in the backyard, so I think kitten will be more logical than rats and squirrel (sorry if there are any wrong grammar)
THAT! YandereDev basically just sugested the kitten thing without even doing a single research before. It’s basically impossible to trick a sniffer dog, and no policeman would be dumb enough to stop the investigation after discovering the corpse of a kitten. Actually, finding a kitten buried in a gardening area only make things more suspicious.
With that said, we can assume that YandereDev only came up with this idea for shoking value, since a simple research could prove that his idea is stupid.
PS: Remember that time, when the game was starting his development, that YandereDev realized that a sailor uniform was only used in middle school? Yup, that is it. He watched anime for years and never knew the diference between a middle school and a highschool uniform. Wowza.
calm down a little, remember the headmaster is a very corrupt person who’s main priority is to preserve the reputation of the school. As for the uniforms, they came with the models used in the game and yandere dev hasn’t gotten around to changing the uniforms yet, there may be an option for a sailor uniform in future. Hes posted this idea for a new uniform further down the blog posts. Besides not EVEYTHING has to be culturally accurate in this game, although i do understand the idea of sailor uniforms looking a bit underage.

But since he wants this game to be realistic, then he definitely needs to think about his disposal and elimination methods before implementing them lol. Don’t listen to the people who say “killing kittens is not okay!!” I mean it is true, but it’s just a video game. Maybe you could also implement squirrels, rats and mice so you could also kill them because it’s likely to find them just running around a school’s yard/garden shed.

There is a rathole in the school. Steal the cheese from the kitchen club, kill the rat then burry the corpse. It’s not overly complicated but additional steps to get away with this method.
Or poison the turtle from the k-on room.. Um the music club. But huh people would cry again about the turtle. But it’s bigger to justify the hole. Um we don’t need a whole square meter for a rat corpse, that looke strange.

the cat doesn’t bother me, but when I first saw the garden plot I really really wanted to plant flowers on top of the corpse lol. So I could act like an innocent garden club member if someone was walking by.
Don’t worry about the kitten thing. I’ve killed dogs and cats in other games much more brutal than this one. Remember this is still your project, you can’t please everyone. What matters is that you’re satisfied with it.
I agree with this concept, it fits the description of “yandere” quite nicely. This is the kind of “controversial” you could be aiming for instead of the inventory with the face full of panties, (which i like your solution to that too). and for those who disagree with the cat killing part, remember that you don’t HAVE to kill the cat, its just a method of hiding a body. A reason why the cops/dogs dont find a dead cat suspicious is because of the corruption of the headmaster. Yandere chan’s mother killed someone before at that very school (yes this is cannon from what i remember). If there wasn’t SOME corruption, even if yandere chan’s mother completely destroyed all evidence possible within the game, they would still at least buff up security after that. Which they haven’t (aside from info chan’s camera, but she probably has her reasons). Congratulations on this yandere dev! you are sculpting the game to match both your dream and its fan base with this new idea. Keep up the good work!

I highly recommend everyone watch a special episode of MythBusters focused on testing myths about police dogs. Basically, every single attempt to trick the dog failed

its easy to know who is who. kokona have lower voice tone and pitch than saki.
kitty concept can be like that: ayano have a cat and she killing it somewhere behind the school and she doing next steps. its only idea.
This game is very, very fun.
But also very, very unrealistic.
I don’t mean in the yandere concept, like, “she is abnormally strong.”. I mean in the body disposal and in the new mindslave killing animation. Seriously, teachers expel you for holding a knife, having bloody clothes, and tackle you after seeing you kill someone, but for the mindslave they’re just kind of like: “Herp derp, dat’s gross, better wait it out.”

It was proven on a myth busters episode that the dogs would just keep sniffing (they put objects with an extremely strong smell over the drug), therefore the police officers would keep digging. At best, realistically it would just stall the officers, but they would still find the human body.
I think people reacting to mind slaves will be added later. I agree with the other one.
actually stalling is all they need. i asked once yandere dev about the police, and i got a pretty interesting answer: by this school’s weird laws (becuase of the headmaster) the police can only investigate for 6 hours.

I like the ‘kitten’ method so far, but maybe make it a bit more difficult, like trying to get it, since trying to chase cats isn’t particularly easy. But I’m sure it’ll be good.

YanDev I hope you read this. I really like the adding cats to the game idea. It will open up more potential to the gameplay aspect and improve much to the game.
For example, the stray cats can be a part of a group of students’ routine. There should be a group of cat lover students taking care of the stray cats. It doesn’t have to be a group of students, some students like the lonely-personality will individually approach the cats in their routine. The students will either feed the cats or play with them at specific time during lunch time or in the morning. The current roll of students really need more personalities. Adding cats to the game will improve this aspect of the game greatly.
Yandere-chan cannot be caught carrying a cat corpse or killing a cat in the act. The cat-lover students will attack Yandere-chan if they saw that happens, players will have to carefully study the student’s routine. The cats itself shouldn’t be easily to catch, since animals can sense yandere-chan’s bloodlust/murder intent maybe? The game would be more interesting if player struggle to catch a cat. But I hope it wouldn’t be as easy as buying a can of cat foods from Info-chan.ο»Ώ

can someone please report for me that there is a bug where when you kill everyone in the occult club and place them in the middle of the star and cut them in pieces, it would normally say “revenge at last” and immediately hands would appear around you but it just freezes at that part. I dont know his email so :s

For people who keep saying a squirrel would be a good substitute for a kitten: THERE AREN’T SQUIRRELS IN MOST OF JAPAN. The Japanese squirrel does exist, but its range is limited. I lived there for a whole year in a forested area and did not see a single damn squirrel. A squirrel would be a poor fit.
I don’t have problems with Yandere-chan killing the kitten, and I’m fine if this stays in the game. The only thing is: Wouldn’t there just be an animal cruelty case instead of a homicide case? Animal cruelty laws aren’t as strict in Japan, but slitting a cat’s throat is still illegal.
I think the game should treat it like a regular police investigation: You have to clean up after yourself properly to not get caught. I’m assuming that in the final game there may be a difference between a character who is missing and one who is dead, and if you get away with it the game should treat the dead person as if they’re missing.
Getting caught for killing the kitten shouldn’t be an *instant* Game Over but there should be a severe penalty in terms of reputation, time (e.g. have detention every day for a week for 30 minutes,) and/or Senpai’s feelings toward you (e.g. need to boost your language skill high enough to create a believable sob story and tell it to enough people before the next time you enter Senpai’s aura or he will call you a psycho and it’s Game Over.)
Either that or use mice that can pass for lab mice.
Still, the cat is fine. She’s a fucking yandere, and this game is not going to desensitize people to murdering helpless animals.
I’m reading a lot of things about how the cat idea is bad, and I’ve seen some comments about rookie policemen and all that. This is just an idea, but in the town, Yandere Dev could add a police station, along with the policemen. Yandere-chan can stalk the policemen in order to find out who is a rookie and who isn’t, and what their shifts are for every week. That would also mean Yandere-chan would have to bury the body and cat on the cartain day. There are still a few holes in this idea, though…
If you think the cat thing is a good idea, go for it. It’s YOUR game. In other people’s opinion, cats are the most precious thing in the world, but that is THEIR opinion. If you want to add it, add it.

May I just suggest something for the kitten thing? Instead of killing the kitten yourself, can’t you just find some random roadkill? I know I’m not the first to ask this, but what if you had to kill the kitten if you wanted to bury more than one body? Adding only the kitten might make some people uncomfortable, and probably will make them abstain from burying bodies. I think it would be a good idea to leave the opportunity open for everyone, and then add a little catch if someone’s so adamant about doing it more than once.

If the police can’t reach the grave part in time (They can only investigate for 6 hours) then the cat thing could work.
