The launcher wouldn’t be very useful without a new build to download, so I am also releasing a new build today! Here’s what’s different in the latest build:
- Attempted to fix bug that would cause a student to get permanently stuck in place if they were looking at a corpse as it was dismembered.
- Replaced the signs outside of classroom doors with new signs that won’t affect the game’s framerate as much as the previous signs did.
- Placed a lot of new signs around the school (bathroom signs, exit signs, fire extinguisher signs, etc).
- Attempted to implement a better “preparing food” animation for Kokona’s Cooking Club event.
- Fixed bug that would cause male corpses to turn white upon being dismembered.
- Improved the Kokona Monday phone call animation a bit further.
- Replaced Ronshaku’s old voiced lines with new voiced lines.
- Added 4 new accessories for Yandere-chan. One of them has functionality…can you figure out how to activate it?
- Added a new weapon to the game. It’s a joke weapon / gag weapon.
- Added 5 new hairstyles for Yandere-chan.
Because my visit to Los Angeles ate the first 5 days of the month, and preparing the new website/launcher/bug fixes took up a lot of my time between July 6th and July 13th, I haven’t had enough time to implement a huge new gameplay feature recently. I feel really guilty about that! I’m so sorry!
Right now, there are still a lot of bugs I want to fix, volunteer assets I want to implement, and code improvements that I want to make. I may choose to spend the rest of the month getting all that stuff out of the way, and begin working on the next big feature starting on August 1st.
So, instead of seeing a big update on July 15th and August 1st, you might see a lot of minor updates released throughout the rest of the month. I might even release at least one “major” update at some point in July, such as implementing the sanity-based combat animations that have been planned for the game since April 2014.
Implementing the sanity-based combat animations would be a really big deal, since it would be a huge step towards making my original vision of the game become a reality, and would make the debug build much more representative of what the final game will actually be like.
By the way – I think it’s a good thing to periodically gauge public perception of the job that I’m doing on Yandere Simulator, so I’d like to ask you to vote on this poll:

The launcher does not seem to work with Wine on Mac, so please keep uploading Zip files separately. I’ve been playing on my Mac each build using Wine Bottler. 🙂

Yay Yandere dev your game is awesome!
I’ve recreated the problem. I loaded the site in the big 4 – Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge. There seems to be a scaling issue in Edge and Firefox (at least in my experience). It looks like it loads the site in optimized formatting for a 1920 x 1080 display regardless of the actual screen resolution or window size. The images are too large and push the text around.
A good temporary fix is to hold CTRL and Press – (minus) a time or 2 to change the scaling. This will cause scaling on all websites to change, however, so it’s not a permanent solution. This will at least let you look at and navigate the site until this issue is fixed. To change it back to regular scaling/magnification, press CTRL + 0 (zero). This will put it back at regular 100% view.
Hope this helps some people get a look at the site and click the links to the various pages.
Love the new website! Especially since it sticks to the Yandere sim vibe. There are some typos in the about page though, about wanting a female senpai part.

The whole idea of the website is amazing, but… I dunno, the layout/design of it seems a bit off. I mean, magenta isn’t a nice base color because of the high saturation. Maybe changing the base color to baby pink (like on the new student info screen) could resolve the problem.
But anyway, keep up with your nice work, because I’m really hyped for the sanity-based animations! ^_^
Hi yanderedev, I love the game so far. My only complaint/issue is infochan. I understand she plays a role in the story but you promise I could play the game without ever taking a panty shot. Problem is I have to to get the items I need. Can I have the option to steal items around town or a small mall rather than rely on infochan. It would give me more stealth option knowing I have to steal items rather than take a panty shot here and there. Thanks if you read this. You made me enjoy a genre of games I never would have touched
The method of getting things done without pantyshots hasn’t been implemented yet. Not counting the debug menu. Just gotta have some patience.

Thanks for giving us a website that can help many for info on Yandere Sim! Though you’re not accepting suggestions at this time, I would like to give you an idea:
I’m thinking of another elimination technique that could probably make the Yandere Simulator have much more depth in terms of gameplay. A new elimination technique called “beating your rival at their own skill” or simply “Confrontation”.
>You have the option to face your rival at their own skills if confronting them about Senpai.
>ex: A rival from the Martial Arts Club will challenge you to a fight that’s similar to Street Fighter. Your Strength or your physical stat decides the amount of damage you do/take, and how much health you have. Visiting the Martial Arts Club often can learn you fighting moves that Yandere-chan can use at her disposal. Also, finding information about the rivals weakness can change the outcome of the fight.
>If you win the certain situation, the rival won’t go after Senpai, thus counting them as eliminated. If you lose, the week will be restarted.
>Many other situations can be created like beating a Video Game Club rival in a RPG-like fight or a Cooking Club rival that you face in a cook off.
I don’t expect you to notice, but I don’t want to interrupt your work on Yandere Sim by sending you an email. This is just an idea that can probably help in the gameplay of Yandere Sim!

I am sorry Yandere Deb, But this launcher seemed to not help me at all. Because i don’t use WinZip to convert files. I use RAR Opener. And I think you just made it so that it won’t work. I am downloading it now. So I’ll have to see.

The new launcher doesn’t really work for me, and I tried to use 7zip, but it’s too complicated. The tutorial doesn’t show many details such as how to fetch the file. Please fix the tutorial or the launcher. I am not sure whether I am doing it correctly, but it is very confusing for me.

There’s an easter egg involving the piano in the Light Music room – not sure how long that’s been there.
The accessory with functionality is either the blonde ears, the red hat or the llama with a hat, likely the last one.
Wait, something different happens when you hit Midori with it!? I MUST TRY!! And which one? The only one I knew about the piano is that you can play a note, but there’s an easter egg….? Or?
And the little easter egg is with the mask, you can press space while wearing it and it will change expressions 🙂

As someone who designs websites as a hobby I was looking forward to making fun of the website but it is actually super impressively well done and I have almost no complaints. I downloaded the launcher, and after it loaded it said I got a fatal error and it didn’t let me open the game. I tried it a second time, and it still didn’t work. Does anyone else have this problem?
