Last year, I had three April Fools’ pranks – a Hatred trailer parody, Kuudere Simulator, and Super Yandere 64. This year, I planned to release another set of three pranks…but I felt guilty spending my time doing anything other than working on Yandere Simulator, so I only produced one prank: Kuudere Simulator 2. One of the other two planned pranks was a mini dating sim that would allow the player to romance a certain character from Yandere Simulator. I even asked an artist to draw character portraits for the dating sim!

April Fools’ came and went, so I planned to release the artwork that had been created for the dating sim and let the community piece it together if they were interested. That’s when a certain talented lady who has developed numerous visual novels offered to build the dating sim for me! (By the way, this particular lady has been the voice actress for Yandere-chan for the past 15 months!)

Okay, yeah, that’s cute, but when’s the next serious update?

I’m planning to release a new video very soon. Hopefully, I can produce it within 24 hours. If I can’t pull it off within 24 hours, it might have to wait until the 12th, because I’m going to be busy on the 11th.

  3. I emailed him asking to reveal who was working on the dating sim, and I admit that while it might not have been in a polite way, he responded with “Why should I? Fuck off, asshole”, but here we are now with the reveal.

      • I know, but not mentioning other works his last blog post of this experienced developer, you can’t expect some people not to get triggered.

    • Of course he wasn’t polite, you should know at this point how does he feel about emails and questions. the next time you’ve got a question… DON’T email him!! got a question? Ask here so other fans can help, or at least try to… or even better! WAIT until the information is release weather in the FAQ or in a blog post like this one, wait until the dating sim is finish, wait. Just wait, it’s not worthy risk to make the process more slow than what it should be just because, ironically, you can’t wait for it.

      • I was actually referring to myself with the whole “not in a polite way” thing, though either side is fine too. And yeah, I know, but if you’re going to talk about experienced developers and not mention any kind of other works they did, how can you not expect some people to get triggered?

    • It’s true that YandereDev said several times that people should not email him, but it’s also his own problem that he keeps answering non-important emails and in such rude manner.

    • You’re not supposed to email him if it doesn’t follow his requirements for an important email, or else you just waste his time. He’s admitted he’s been more aggressive with his responses due to his patients wearing thin, and that he’s not proud of it. But still, you shouldn’t have asked him about who was working on the project. If he wanted you to know, he would have linked us to those people before, but my guess is he didn’t want nosey fans pestering the people working on the project and potentially spoiling the game.

      • Considering how long they’ve worked together, I don’t think him advertising her other works a blog or so back, would have been a bad thing.

    • Okay, now that’s just fucked up. I know YanDev said that he gets mad because of email and he doesn’t respond to them politely. But calling you an “asshole” and saying “fuck off” is just rude. How does some say “fuck off im not telling you or anyone” (that’s basically what he said) then goes off and tells about thousands of people. -_- Wow.Just.Wow

      • The email is about crediting the person who programmed the dating sim that yanderedev wrote but didn’t have time to make (yandere sim is more important) of course he is going to give credit, its the most logical thing to do if someone took the time to make it happen, if he didn’t when he posted the actual game (the best time to inform everyone who did it, then they won’t swamped with email about when the game will come out, seems familiar) then it would make sense to email about it. I think yandev is just mad about the person who can’t wait a couple days to see who did what and responded to just get them off his back (think about madori greenu ittrupting you every 5 seconds, I be pissed too) sure its rude and mean but it’s the only thing that seemed to be able to get a message across to the thick headed individuals at lest it’s a chance they won’t email questions that have already been answered and thus cut time reading. May I also add the sender didn’t really asked the question nicely in the first plac… Sorry if this comment is so long just hate it when people don’t see the other side of the story before judgment.

    • Honestly, i don’t say your a liar but… it’s difficult for me to believe you, YandereDev said he don’t reply anymore to that sort of emails and sorry but it sound like you want to make people to believe that he is a bad person…

      • Believe it or don’t, I’m sure he’s going to probably address the issue again in his next video/blog. Wouldn’t be the first time. Though he’s really not joking when he says he does respond to the emails he get. Mine was apparently alright enough for him not to just delete and move on.

    • you’re so stupid. Imagine if you’re working on a game for over 12 hours a day and also have to make time to scan through hundreds of emails? To make life easier for him, he politely asked us not to send him emails that didn’t follow his criteria. People didn’t do that, so he made another post. Then another. Then he had to make a twenty minute long video begging us not to send him the shit you sent him.

      By sending him that email you’ve delayed the development of the game and not to mention stressed out the developer greatly.

      • He could just ignore the email these people who send stupid emails are still humans and fans of the game I myself nave gotten a really harsh and rude reply to an email…he should stop being a total asshole or many people will get pissed about him.

      • YandereDev is creating a game for US. And what’s so great about the project is that we can get involved and help by pledging money to his patreon and by offering our services to him. Without all of this then there wouldn’t be a game.

        To get to these amazing services of volunteers, he needs to use his email. To make life easy he’s asked for specific types of people to volunteer.

        When the creator of a game expresses his frustration anger and emotion when he gets stupid emails wasting his time, WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO EMAIL HIM????

        and yes when you email him asking him about what the nameof the creator is for an April fool’s visual novel, this goes against what he’s asked.

        if you keep emailing him that shit, then you obviously have no respect for YandereDev or the development of the game.

    • I hate to sound rude, which I’m trying not to come across as, but Yandere Dev has made it quite clear that he hates emails that don’t follow the correct rules that he has laid out.

      • He needs to come up with a different way to deal with it, because yelling at his fanbase (which consists mainly of kids) is obviously going to do nothing. He has to get over himself and actually try something. His current situation is already shit, how could anything else he attempts make it worse?

    • Haven’t you watched his video about e-mails and like… Yandere simulator BIGGEST problem ? Was it too boring for you because it’s 20 minutes long ? Ugh, what a pity…

  7. I LOVE THIS, THERE NEEDS TO BE A SEQUEL.
    It doesn’t seem like a joke or prank at all, seriously, I fell in love with a fictional flame demon within 5-10 minutes or less. Please tell me this will be cannon or be unlocked or something somehow in the actual game. I’d love if someone made a sequel to Burning Love where you marry the demon and have little flame demon children. xD (I know, I’m…. odd….)

    • I… Want a game like this where we fall in love with the demon and possibly become one! Like an actual game.. Shall Yandere dev perhaps make a burning love game after yandere simulator? o3o I’LL MAKE A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL FOR THIS TO HAPPEN

    • I couldn’t open it at first too since it’s a .rar file. To play I you must download Winzip or Winrar and decompress the file and launch the app 😉

  22. Yandere Dev, you should make an online merchandise store that has yandere chans costume, replicas of the weapons and plush toys and tshirts! It could help with the games development!

    • it would take MONTHS to implement a male version of Ayano, since he’s need the animations, voice acting, assets, and stuff. He said it might only become true if he gets enough money on the kickstarter

  27. I’m just going to out this out there, somebody has to right?

    The voice of the Flame Demon (I said it right) is satisfying.. I guess I feel, attracted, to this certain guy. He is interesting, and I understand why *I* (as in the game) wants to make out with him… I know, weird, right?

    But there’s nothing I can (or will) do to stop it. He’s not real, but it does not mean my feelings cannot be.

  31. Heh, originally I thought ‘Fire demon’ was a huge jerk, but holy shit is he adorable! He’s cuter than Honey-Senpai! Anyways I think this idea is cute! Also Yanderedev, I really like Yandere simulator and where it’s going! When I found out how long it was going to be ’till the actual game would be ready to be published, I was semi-disappointed, but I knew one reason why it was delayed…MOTHERFUCKING EMAILS! STOP SENDING USELESS EMAILS, IF YOU DON’T THINK THAT THERE IMPORTANT, THEN THEY ARE SHIT! JUST STOP! Clam down Mei…okay, I know how it feels(sort of) as the otaku in me slowly is taking over my whole body, it has semi-control over my emotions, sympathy, and empathy(yay for empathy), I know it’s upsetting and drives you crazy, but hey, I have the most annoying sister in the world! and she’s single, I WONDER WHY! She drives me crazy and she is sort of like a delinquent!(I have a delinquent in my house…Should I be happy?) Anyways Good job, and I support you so much!

I Look forward to the other April jokes things xD I don’t know if YandereDev himself would read my comment (I thing he wouldn’t but I write it anyway) If you need time out from Yandere simulator and want to make something else, then do it! This would be the best for you and the game itself 🙂 (I actually really like to see another games from YandereDev x3)

What if there was a NPC that Yandere-chan would have to befriend in order to lend the flame demon’s power and if Yandere-chan were to kill that NPC then the flame demon would be seen around school grounds in locations with less or no students. He would be looking for the killer and Yandere-chan can frame a rival and they’d BURN. Lol I don’t know, I just thought that
