I always try to upload a new build of the game on the 1st and 15th days of every month, right when the clock strikes midnight (in the PST timezone). The next build won’t be ready within 3 hours, but it should be ready within 27 hours!

I find it very funny that people are constantly complaining about the fact that Yandere Simulator is taking so long and shouting at YandereDev to “WORK FASTER!”, despite the fact that he literally has sacrificed so much and works so hard to make a game that many people are anticipating. Honestly, he has literally sacrificed sleep, free time, and his social life just to work on this game. I could imagine it must be hell having to do nothing but stare at a computer screen for hours on end, yet he still does it because he wants this game to come out because so many people want it. We should be grateful for the fact that this man is working so hard just to make us happy, instead of yelling at him to give us the game already.
Seriously though, I have no idea how you can work that hard that much. I like making games as a hobby and I can’t focus for more than an hour at a time. You are an amazing man, YandereDev.

He’s raking in $5,000 a month for a maximum of two updates, interspersed with apologies and excuses, even having the gall to blame the lack of progress on his supporters for daring to send him emails. Why would he cut short such an income stream by finishing the job? Why would he tell the truth about his amount of effort, for that matter?
^ If he was “raking in” $5,000 a month, he stated that he’d be progressing the game a lot faster with it because he can hire professionals to help him rather than relying on volunteers, who are not always active and work on their own pace.

Look at his upload schedule over the past, what, 30 days? Over these two updates he was late for both of them. Also, in a video of his (not sure which one) he clearly states that he doesn’t get much time to do things other than make Yandere Simulator. Finally, I challenge you, Mr.WaitAMinute, to make a game with the caliber of Yandere Simulator, and somehow update it within 15 days. …It’s not easy, is it? This either proves that making Lovesick (Yandere you know) is very easy, or Mr. Dev is taking tons of time just working on the darn thing.

I am so grateful that you take the time to let us know when you can’t make your deadline. Even if its a by of a disappointment, it lets us all know that you still care about all of us. As for those who are nagging at you, they don’t deserve to call themselves fans. I myself have been going through some very hard times lately. My boyfriend recently left for the army, leaving me home alone. It’s hard to get up for anything. Seeing your new updates always cheer me up a little. I dont always make your streams, but I sure try. It’s unfortunate that twitch banned your game. You said coding was boring, but I really enjoyed the company. I didnt talk much, but this fandom feels like home, even when my own home doesn’t. You’ve go some great people supporting you…and some assholes but they don’t matter. Anyway, good luck.

It’s time for a new build and a new video!
This video explains my reasoning for adding certain things to the game, tells you what’s new this week, and describes some things that I’d like to add to the game in the future:
Here’s a list of everything that is new in the latest build:
Personas and Photography
There are now 7 Personality types, or “Personas” in total.The 3 new ones are Coward, Evil, and Social Butterfly.(Female) Students will now react when the player aims a camera at them. Their reaction depends on their personality.For now, all male students will have the Loner personality or Teacher’s Pet personality, and will not react to the camera. I can’t give them other personalities or reactions because, at this point in time, I don’t have an animation rig for male characters, and I can’t transfer female animations to male skeletons.If the player joins the Photography Club, students will not react to the camera, and will allow the player to Photograph them without any problems.
Bug Fixes
Attempted to fix a bug that would get cause two students walking in a straight line towards one another to get “stuck” on one another, and unable to proceed along their paths.The player is no longer allowed to use the “Torture for 12 hours” or “Torture for 18 hours” option to skip the day on a Friday, since this would break the Calendar screen.Attempted to fix a bug where a student dying from poison could have their “dying from poison” animation be interrupted.Removed shadows from the custom face template image in the Streaming Assets folder.If Senpai dies because of an easter egg, he will come back to life the next day.Did a better job of hiding the hidden girl.Fixed bug that would allow students to walk around during the post-game screen or after a game over, which was causing several other bugs to be possible.Fixed bug that would cause Kokona’s phone event to malfunction if the player was speaking to Kokona while her event was beginning.Fixed bug that would cause Kuu Dere’s Student Info page to display Mai Waifu’s portrait.Fixed an incorrect classroom sign.
Additions
Added a humorous “WARNING” message to the beginning of the game. I might remove it, if people complain that it gives the game the wrong vibe.Added a bunch of “Fake” students who exist so that the player can join clubs that don’t have official club leaders yet.An accessory will now appear on Yandere-chan’s body when she joins certain clubs (Cooking, Occult, Martial Arts, Photography).Attempted to improve the framerate of the game by making optimizations to certain scripts.Added hair physics to some long hairstyles that were lacking physics.Gave each teacher in the game a unique appearance.Added a greenhouse to the gardening club zone.Added 6 new hairstyles for Yandere-chan.Added 1 new hairstyle for Senpai-kun.
Sanity Effects
Ever since the first week of the game’s development, Yandere-chan’s eyes would shrink when she lost her sanity. Previously, her eyes would shrink into very small dots. This reflects an “angry” character, not a “hollow” character, so I have changed the minimum size of her eyes. Her eyes can still shrink, but not as much as before. Her eyes are meant to say “I am empty and dead inside”, and not “I am violent and crazy.”Previously, Yandere-chan’s eyes would become blank and lifeless when “Yandere Vision” was activated. Now, they become blank when she loses sanity.Now, when Yandere Vision is activated, Yandere-chan’s eyes become red.A shadow now gradually falls over Yandere-chan’s face as she loses sanity.
By the way, I foolishly forgot to mention it last time, but the “Bad Time” easter egg was only made possible through help from Saracen! Thank you, Saracen!
What’s Next?
My current objective is to make all clubs functional. The reason that I implemented personalities this week was so that I could get the Photography club’s benefit to function. So, the next features that I’ll add to the game will be “whatever features must be implemented in order to make all clubs become functional.” The Light Music club’s benefit is that Yandere-chan gains access to a cello case that allows her to carry a corpse without appearing suspicious…but only if that corpse has been chopped up into pieces first. So, the Light Music Club can’t become functional until dismemberment returns to the game. I definitely want to re-implement it…let’s just hope that I can pull it off within 2 weeks!

Yesterday, Yandere Simulator was banned from Twitch.tv. That’s a real shame, because Twitch.tv is, by far, the most dominant game streaming website on the Internet. Twitch almost has a monopoly on game streaming. There are some noteworthy competitors, but Twitch’s reach and visibility is beyond anything else available. As a result, when Twitch refuses to allow a certain game to be broadcasted, it deprives that game of a lot of visibility.

It’s time for a new build and a new video!
This video explains my reasoning for adding certain things to the game, tells you what’s new this week, and describes some things that I’d like to add to the game in the future:
Here’s a list of everything that is new in the latest build:
Personas and Photography
There are now 7 Personality types, or “Personas” in total.The 3 new ones are Coward, Evil, and Social Butterfly.(Female) Students will now react when the player aims a camera at them. Their reaction depends on their personality.For now, all male students will have the Loner personality or Teacher’s Pet personality, and will not react to the camera. I can’t give them other personalities or reactions because, at this point in time, I don’t have an animation rig for male characters, and I can’t transfer female animations to male skeletons.If the player joins the Photography Club, students will not react to the camera, and will allow the player to Photograph them without any problems.
Bug Fixes
Attempted to fix a bug that would get cause two students walking in a straight line towards one another to get “stuck” on one another, and unable to proceed along their paths.Theplayer is no longer allowed to use the “Torture for 12 hours” or “Torture for 18 hours” option to skip the day on a Friday, since this would break the Calendar screen.Attempted to fix a bug where a student dying from poison could have their “dying from poison” animation be interrupted.Removed shadows from the custom face template image in the Streaming Assets folder.If Senpai dies because of an easter egg, he will come back to life the nextday.Did a better job of hiding the hidden girl.Fixed bug that would allow students to walk around during the post-game screen or after a game over, which was causing several other bugs to be possible.Fixed bug that would cause Kokona’s phone event to malfunction if the player was speaking to Kokona while her event was beginning.Fixed bug that would cause Kuu Dere’s Student Info page to display Mai Waifu’s portrait.Fixed an incorrect classroom sign.
Additions
Added a humorous “WARNING” message to the beginning of the game. I might remove it, if people complain that it gives the game the wrong vibe.Added a bunch of “Fake” students who exist so that the player can join clubs that don’t have official club leaders yet.Anaccessory will now appear on Yandere-chan’s body when she joins certain clubs (Cooking, Occult, Martial Arts, Photography).Attempted to improve the framerate of the game by making optimizations to certain scripts.Added hair physics to some long hairstyles that were lacking physics.Gave each teacher in the game a unique appearance.Added a greenhouse to the gardening club zone.Added 6 new hairstyles for Yandere-chan.Added 1 new hairstyle for Senpai-kun.
Sanity Effects
Ever since the first week of the game’s development, Yandere-chan’s eyes would shrink when she lost her sanity. Previously, her eyes would shrink into very small dots. This reflects an “angry” character, not a “hollow” character, so I have changed the minimum size of her eyes. Her eyes can still shrink, but not as much as before. Her eyes are meant to say “I am empty and dead inside”, and not “I am violent and crazy.”Previously, Yandere-chan’s eyes would become blank and lifeless when “Yandere Vision” was activated. Now, they become blank when she loses sanity.Now, when Yandere Vision is activated, Yandere-chan’s eyes become red.A shadow now gradually falls over Yandere-chan’s face as she loses sanity.
By the way, I foolishly forgot to mention it last time, but the “Bad Time” easter egg was only made possible through help from Saracen! Thank you, Saracen!
What’s Next?
My current objective is to make all clubs functional. The reason that I implemented personalities this week was so that I could get the Photography club’s benefit to function. So, the next features that I’ll add to the game will be “whatever features must be implemented in order to make all clubs become functional.” The Light Music club’s benefit is that Yandere-chan gains access to a cello case that allows her to carry a corpse without appearing suspicious…but only if that corpse has been chopped up into pieces first. So, the Light Music Club can’t become functional until dismemberment returns to the game. I definitely want to re-implement it…let’s just hope that I can pull it off within 2 weeks!

I always try to upload a new build of the game on the 1st and 15th days of every month, right when the clock strikes midnight (in the PST timezone, that is). I won’t be able to upload a new build within the next 3 hours, but I feel very confident that it will be ready within the next 27 hours!

Yesterday, Yandere Simulator was banned from Twitch.tv. That’s a real shame, becauseTwitch.tv is, by far, the most dominant game streaming website on the Internet. Twitch almost has a monopoly on game streaming. There are some noteworthy competitors, but Twitch’s reach and visibility is beyond anything else available. As a result, when Twitch refuses to allow a certain game to be broadcasted, it deprives that game of a lot of visibility.

One more day is not going to kill anybody. Also I know how Yandere Dev feels. I’ve been working on a Harry Potter custom level a long time and I have to fix bugs, make major and minor changes, and make sure the properties are correct. You’re are not alone Yandere Dev.
Can’t wait ^^ Take all the time you must, I’m impatient, but I can wait a few days for the update ^^.

Man, I feel so…old among so many 10-12 years old. Maybe Yanderedev should age-restrict his website, unless there are some “very” clever trolls out there.

I don’t think it would be fair to age restrict this site because not all 10-12 year olds are immature. Also, if they’re not old enough they could just lie about their age.
IMO, this game shouldn’t be played by 10-12 years old, but hey, we all know kids might as well be watching porn/playing worse or more ‘gorey’ games at that age.
The problem is that at that age, you can’t really fully grasp what it takes to commit yourself to endless hours of developing a game. So you feel like you can email him, suggest him endless things, and just giggle and waltz away if it doesn’t work.
I’ve worked with little kids before. I know how frustrating this can be.
But yeah. Unless he personally bans each troll from posting/emailing him, they’ll just loop around and find some new way to annoy him.

I hope he knows that most of us love him and what he is doing. Fuck, I’ll defend him any damn day. He is a precious kitten and deserves to be loved. I worry for him sometimes honestly. Sleep deprived and whatnot, poor guy. But nevertheless, he pulls through and makes me stay up for hours even when I should be sleeping.
I’m planning on staying up even if I have shit to do tomorrow.

Dude, you’re awesome for working so hard on this game that has this fantastic refreshing concept. While I look forward to your new build and really want to try it out, i also understand how much work making a game is, so don’t rush on our account, be sure to eat, sleep and take a day off once in a while ok?

YandereDev Senpai should be more respected in the Yandere Simulator fandom… Even though he may not be able to get a build out immediately the day it should be right then and there doesnt mean that you have the right to get mad at him you know… He’s really great and he should go at his own pace… it takes a long time and its hard to make sure everything functions properly together… especially when theres so many aspects and possible conflicts for things… remember how many times he had to update to fix bugs? that means that many less days from being able to work on the actual update. So stop. Just… Just stop okay? Stop being mean or yelling at him he deserves much better…

I think aside from being a yandere, she could be considered a psychopath. (I’m not a psychologist, and I make mistakes so I may not be right.)
I wonder if Im the only one who deep down kind of wants the game to take a long time because if it takes longer it means that yandere dev is working at his own pace, and also if hes relaxed at said pace he might come up with brand new ideas for the game! Just remember people if you bug yandere dev about something taking a long time it might just stop another feature from existing 😉 .

I have an idea for a game : School Stalker Sim! (10 / 10 ign name)
Its a game based off yandere sim, but instead of being ayano you are info chan :3
Basically you stalk people in the school and hack into people’s phones and read their conversations (cuz y not :P)
You provide info to Yandere chan info every now and then, and sell panty shots to grown men in places like a dark alley or behind a maid cafe (dont judge my logic)
But im too lazy and stupid to code a game, just something random 😛
