The next “big” feature isn’t 100% ready yet, but it’s mostly functional, so I’m going to provide a new build and upload a video showing off the progress that I made over the past 7 days.
As of now, dismemberment is only 50% implemented; it doesn’t work on males, it only works on the default uniform, it doesn’t get reactions from NPCs, it doesn’t provide any type of advantage…so, if you’re looking for interesting new gameplay objectives and challenges, you should probably wait until the next build.
Here’s a list of all of the changes in this build:
Dismemberment
- Added a new weapon – the circular saw – to the game.
- It is now possible to dismember a student using a circular saw.
- All body parts (head, torso, arms, legs) can be picked up, carried, dropped, and incinerated.
- NPCs and police do not react to body parts yet.
- As of now, dismemberment only works on females.
- As of now, the body parts that appear after dismembering an NPC will always be clad in the default uniform.
Additions and Changes
- It is now impossible to struggle against an NPC if you’re holding a weapon that is too large to conceal, such as the katana or the circular saw. If a weapon is too large to conceal, then it’s too unwieldy to use in close quarters and would only make Yandere-chan more vulnerable during a struggle.
- At the request of an important person, all Undertale audio assets are now removed from the game, and the appearance of the “Gaster Blasters” has now been altered so that they are completely unique.
- It is now possible to pick up a corpse and carry it while walking or running, if the player has leveled up their Physical Education stat at least one time.
- Implemented a real “dump corpse into incinerator” animation, rather than re-purposing a “throw” animation in order to place a corpse into the incinerator.
- Added “APPREHENDED” text instead of “HEARTBROKEN” text when Yandere-chan is apprehended by a teacher or a Heroic student.
- It is now possible to dump corpses off the rooftop at locations where the railing is low enough.
- Run speed now becomes faster each time the player levels up their Physical Education stat.
- Provided new hairstyles to most members of the Martial Arts Club.
- Added a work-in-progress exterior to the school gymnasium.
- Gave a new name to the student formerly named Shi Ta.
- Added two new hairstyles for Senpai.
Fixes
- Attempted to fix bug that would cause students to become unable to enter their clubrooms, and cause them to access a different clubroom instead.
- Fixed one of Yandere-chan’s hairstyles, which was appearing at her feet instead of at her head.
- Fixed bug that was preventing Yandere-chan’s hair from having color in “Ice Fairy Mode”.
- Fixed a typo when leaving a note in Kokona’s locker.
- Restored Mai Waifu’s long hair and huge breasts.
- Restored Titan Mode functionality.

In Closing…
Just to save you some time, I should mention that there is no way to summon a demon in the Occult Club…yet. But, now that dismemberment has been added to the game, I can finally begin to make some progress in that area…something fun and very very interesting might be added to the next build.
One last note: remember this to keep me sane! Well, actually, I lost my sanity years ago, but I would still strongly advise reading that post anyway.

I dont think he did. He made the word ‘cipher’ a link and when you click it it leads you to a translator, and ‘V’ is the roman numeral for 5, if that helps clear things up.
I just downloaded Yandere Simulator 15th of February and opened it with Winrar on my Windows 8, but it just says “unexpected end of archive”. I had no problems whatsoever with downloading Yandere Simulator until now. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is it because of the game or because of my laptop? If it’s because of the game then what changed about the game which caused the error?

I deleted my browser cache and all updates before. Normally it stopped at 128/543MB and then it says ”unexpected end of archive” but now it dowloads more .. im at 170/543MB already … Maybe it will work now?

Try to delete your browser cache and cookies too, maybe it will work by you too!

A good idea that has worked for me before ;
If I ever got the “Unexpected End” message, I always waited until the next update build releases, and it usually fixes the problem.
Mine just says “error opening yandere sim Feb 15.exe yandere sim Feb 15 data should be beside it” and it says that every time I try to open it!
You have to drag the application into the folder next to it! Then it should be in the same folder as the YandereSim Data one, and it will be able to open. I have to do this every time I download a new update, so keep that in mind.

YandereDev, you show us at the end of your video a bit of your code, is it the new one (the more optimisated and fixed one) ?
If so those bunch of “else if” for the hair and eyes color (3:07 and 3:11, line 242 and 315) scary me, couldn’t you just create a Dictionary like this:
Dictionary HairColorList = new Dictionary() {
{“Bleue”, Color(0, 0, 1)},
{“Green”, Color(0, 1, 0)}
};
and then using it like that:
HairRenderer.material.color = HairColorList[HairColor]

I have the same problem… I tried opening the game and it was very glitchy; I tried to start a new game but instead of seeing senpai there was a pink ball… Weird.
I didn’t even come that far. I just got as far as opening the exe file and then you got the panel with frame rate and stuff. After that it was just as black as my soul…

That happened to me too, I deleted the game and redownloaded it and it works fine now. Hopefully that helps.
WinRar always checks the integrity and structure if you open or extract a compressed folder. “Unexpected end of archive” means there are files that are either missing, corrupted or both. This usually happens game didn’t download properly and unfortunately means that you’ll need to redownload. Happens to me from time to time, usually if the WiFi signal’s bad

In feb8 update the npcs were always ‘bugging’ when you ask to distract someone, they stard to run in circle in the same place.
Oh and the following system was strange, they start to walk when you are running and ‘bugging’ on the stairs.
Just Saying that cuz I didn’t see it in the “Fixes”.

When I downloaded the build and opened it the screen was just black and nothing happened! What am I gonna do?
I was so excited about this build! But.. My screen goes black whenever I try to play. Is there a way to fix this? Or do I have to wait for the next build?
Anyone else have trouble trying to run the game? I try to extract the rar file using 7 zip and it always stops saying theres a data error.

Whenever I open the new update, all the text in-game is literally pink blocks hahah. Sadly once I’m done customizing Senpai, the game crashes as it takes me to Yan-chan’s room. :c Guess I’ll have to wait for a bug fix, or until March! ;w;

Unfortunally, I really dislike the new visual of Gaster Blasters in the game… I mean, you don’t have to change the color… The changes in the skull already make them look like a parody. The brown color is just WAY ugly.
I hope there will be a function to beat people with the limbs. I hope blunt weapons will be added soon.

Cool new update! I wonder why Toby (the guess I’m making) wanted the removal of the Undertale audio and changing of the Gaster Blasters.
It’s just because it’s his material, and also because Toby makes money off of those things (since they are in his game). Eventually, Yanderedev will be making money off of this game as well, so Toby probably just does not want other people making money off of his content.

Is there a way you could switch the download system to a SVN repository type setup? Or at least have the option so we don’t have to download the entire game with each build, just update the installed folder.
I used TortoiseSVN back in the day before Garry’s Mod switched to the steampipe system and it made updating easy. Plus, TortoiseSVN is free.

Hey, good job! I really like the new hairstyles on the characters! I’ve always thought the dark-blue hair girl’s hairstyle was a bit weird. They’re really cute now.

When you find out that your classmates are into the same things that you are and you gotta be real subtle about it.
One of my huge problems is with Yandere-chan’s neutral expression.
Yanderes are supposed to be cute and lively when not in kill crazy mode. But Yandere-chan always looks so grim and upset at all times.
OHHH, I GET IT. AT THE END, HE SAYS HE MIGHT ADD SOMETHING “FUN” AND “VERY VERY INTERESTING” IN THE NEXT BUILD. The “Fun Girl” might be in the next build… That would scare the shit out of me..

If the game won’t work that means the download is corrupted! You need to redownload it!
If the game doesn’t redownload well then wait until tomarrow!
There’s a bug. If you dismember a teacher, you’ll be stuck in the animation for it and lots of heads will spawn. I tried it with all of the modes that let you kill teachers and it’s there in all of them.
Yeah but you have to give it props, it’s a really cool bug. There’s also a bug where if you dismember a tranquilized student, tons of body parts rapidly spawn.
