Happy Valentine’s Day!

❀ Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!❀

Because this holiday and Yandere Simulator are both about romance, I think that today would be a good day to share something special with you!

Last year, a video production group approached me and told me that they would like to create a short promotional video for Yandere Simulator. They asked me for a script. I wrote a script that was meant to be synchronized to a popular Japanese folk song called “Tsubasa Wo Kudasai” and asked a very helpful artist to illustrate a storyboard. The production group planned to film the video in November 2015, when a cherry tree in Asia was blooming. It was going to be awesome!

Unfortunately, that video production group got really busy, and couldn’t actually film the video. The cherry tree’s blooming season is over now, too.

I didn’t want the concept or the storyboard to go to waste, so I asked a very talented musician and several very talented vocalists to provide me with a cover of Tsubasa Wo Kudasai, synchronized the song and the illustrations, and uploaded this video.

Absolutely anyone is welcome to create an animated or live-action version of this video. You can do it in Asia or in your backyard, with professional actors or with your friends, for profit or for free. You’re also welcome to make whatever changes or additions you think would be an improvement.

Tsubasa Wo Kudasai is a copyrighted song. I don’t own the rights to this song. Fortunately, the owners of this song will not take down a YouTube video that features this song. (However, YouTube requires you to share your profit with the copyright owners if you monetize a video featuring this song, regardless of whether or not it’s a cover.)

This video uses a cover version of Tsubasa Wo Kudasai. If you want to use this cover in your own video, you’d have to get permission from the vocalists and musician credited at the end of the video.

I’m anticipating a certain question as a result of uploading this video…

“Is this SNAP Mode?”

The answer is both “yes” and “no”. I’m not willing to divulge any more details than that. You’ll see!

By the way, I’ve also got some very lovely artwork to share with you today!

First up is a gorgeous illustration from pixelnoodle:

The talented Valeria San-Martin has produced these magnificent works of art:

And the skilled Bakki has graced us with these beautiful masterpieces:

I’m very, very happy that Yandere Simulator has attracted the attention of such talented artists!

In Closing

I’m 90% certain that I’m going to have a new video and a new build uploaded at some point on February 15th. It might occur at midnight, or it might occur later in the day. I hope that you’ll enjoy what you see in the next build!

  1. I cant wait for the new build its coming here for me in a couple hours! The first thing ill do is dismember kokkona when i electrocute her! Thanks Yandere dev for making a great game!

  2. I think the video really showed yandere simulator for what it is. With most of its goofs and gags, people sometime forget how terrifying and psychotic ayana chan is. I really enjoyed it.

  3. Yandere Dev, Yanere Dev! Add a new feature…. KILLING OURSEELVES! And killing Senpai…
If I kill senpai and myself with Kokona’s knife Kokona is going to be arrested… ME AND SENPAI CAN LIVE FOREVER WITH OUR LOVE!

  4. I wonder if he will animate the promo concept to match the game but either way I love πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ it πŸ‘ bravo bravo yandere dev

  5. Hey yandere dev I have a favor to ask of you.
So the girl from the tree, she’s should be added. Not saying you have to permit a win screen just saying make it to where
you could kill her as well ( basically the same as Kakona chan). please? just contact me when ever you can.

  6. Yandere Dev i was wondering..after i watched the promo concept video for the 99th time continuously that maybe the “snap” feature should be like the struggle mini game when you kill someone and some one tries to restrain yandere chan…I apologize if i wasted your time from programming Yandere sim….
