Would you rather have me spend my time typing out a reply to your e-mail, or would you rather have me spend my time putting new features into the game? Obviously, you’d rather see the game get updated, so don’t e-mail me unless it’s extremely important!

For the love of all that is holy, DO NOT e-mail me and ask me when the next update is coming out, because by making me read your e-mail, you’re reducing the amount of time that I can spend working on the game, and thus you’re delaying the next update.

Also, please DO NOT volunteer if you have zero experience doing whatever it is you’re trying to volunteer to do. Just because you own a microphone, this does not make you a voice actor. Just because you’ve made an MMD video, this does not make you an animator. Just because you can scribble a stick figure onto a piece of paper, this does not make you an artist. Do not volunteer unless you have an impressive portfolio of previous work to show me.

These posts do not stop 100% of all stupid e-mails, but whenever I don’t have a post like this at the top of my blog, I get 10x the number of e-mails that I normally receive.

If it was a game being made by a big company with multiple developers (such as Nintendo), the game would already be finished and out by now. But it’s not. The game may not be done for years because the game is so complex and there is so much YandereDev would like to implement. So, if you spam his e-mail, it wouldn’t be doing you any good, because you want the game out ASAP, and by spamming his e-mail, you’re only making it slower for him to make it because he has to go through all of your spam.       • Uhm, the game won’t come out on 2019. My guess is mid 2017, but he has plenty of time to add whatever he wants now that the framework for the game is done. The only way for it to come out in 2019 is if he plans to add Multiplayer, or he slacks off an entire year

  4. Hmm…. How unfitting. It seems to me that a game designer should be willing to accept fan ideas and compliments, but I guess not. Well, if this is going to be “super special” once the full game is finished, I expect it to look completely professional and with little to no bugs. A PROFESSIONAL game developer would have OTHER PROFESSIONALS test the game instead of releasing debug builds to the general public. Since you did this, you shouldn’t be bitching about being spammed with irrelevant emails. You made a commitment, most of us are patient, therefore I expect to be treated nicely. It’s never YOUR fault. There is always an excuse for something that goes wrong, and some of those times it is a mere result of pure laziness. If this is your so-called “full-time job”, the consistent answer of “I didn’t have time” should never be acceptable. Ever. Simple as that. Maybe it’s your phrasing that made me angry? I’m almost positive that there was a much more cordial approach than putting a list of “Do’s” and “Don’ts” with capitals for emphasis. In conclusion, your tone was uncalled for, and if you are indeed “professional”, you learn to deal with this criteria. Thank you. Keep up the good work, I guess.

    • Look. He had to spend the MAJORITY of his time wading through suggestions sent by random fans with stupid ideas at one point. Tell me, the game has plenty of time to continue. How would you feel if you had to wade through oceans of random suggestions, 99% of them being terrible, such as ‘Oh! add the ability to kill people with your bicyclllllE! YEY!’, or other things of that nature. Yandere Dev just doesn’t have time to search through all of the comments. Its usually far more productive to go code yandere simulator then look through ideas your fans made, and essentially steal them.

      Plus, could you tell me a single point where him stopping the games continuation temporarily hasn’t been justified? If I’m correct, he still has a job other than making Yandere Simulator. After all, he himself didn’t start the kickstarter until recently, And other then that, he spends 12 hours a day working on yandere simulator. 12. hours. and a lot of that time was spent on working with volunteers, and he can’t get professionals because, once again, HE WASN’T EVEN GETTING PAID!

      As well, would you have, once again, wanted him to spend even more time wasting away at something else, simply because he didn’t want to attract grammar Nazis like you?

  15. Why are there people who think YanderDev is overreacting? A lot of us are waiting for a game that will eventually come out, and a lot of those people are excited for Yandere Simulator. All the plans that YandereDev have mentioned make the game more fun and slightly more realistic. If you all are expecting a fantastic final build by the ending, then YandereDev is trying to prepare for a ton of suggestions etc. He knows wet are expecting a good game, so he’s saying that if we want this game done faster, then we must stop sending him stupid e-mails.     These are your supporters, your fans, the people who are ultimately the ones that have the ability to make the game a success. Sure, some people may email you just to annoy you and spam your account, but despite the infantilism there are people with legitimate suggestions who are kindly diverting THEIR time as well to help YOU. And I’m sure with all these emails you will find a trend in the suggestions that implicates what many fans are hoping to see in the game, thus making the game universally better and appealing to many.
