Yikes! There were some serious bugs in the previous build! Here’s a new build that addresses many of the problems that people have been reporting.

- Fixed bug that would allow Yandere-chan to go to class while a mind-broken student was committing murder, causing a bunch of other bugs to occur as a side-effect.
- Fixed bug that would cause your kidnapped victim’s school uniform to not be the uniform that the player selected for the school’s students to wear.
- Fixed bug that would cause a mind-broken student to attend class instead of permanently standing still and waiting for orders from her master.
- Fixed bug that would sometimes cause inactive parts of the game’s interface to appear in the background when using the tape player.
- Fixed incorrect text in the “Return to main menu” window when the window was accessed from Yandere-chan’s room.
- Fixed bug that would allos Yandere-chan to talk to Kokona while a mind-broken slave was heading to kill her.
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan to turn invisible at the title screen under certain circumstances.
- Fixed bug that was causing Yandere-chan’s reputation to not actually drop when she skipped school.
- Removed the “Tap the S key to lower prisoner’s sanity” debug command.
- Added new music to Yandere-chan’s room and basement.
I wish I had time to fix more bugs, but I’m going to need to pour 100% of my time into the Halloween update if I want to prepare it before October 31st.

Part of me is curious to know what it is Yandere Dev had in mind; part of me likes that it’s left to my imagination and that I could imagine all sorts of silly torture tactics like Beetlejuice’s face, Justin Bieber music, or Ero guro
There is nothing funny about torturing someone with Justin Bieber’s music. That is the most horrifying torment imaginable.
He DID say PSYCHOLOGICAL torture guys…why all this talk of gore?
Maybe a censorship option like “hide torture scenes” would be good for persons that can’t bear uch content.

Yandere Dev said that Yandere-chan does psychological torture. Not saying that can’t be disturbing but I’m pretty sure her captives will not be severely harmed.
It is a horror game so there will be blood and gore deal with it
I can deal with blood and gore but a lot of people are making jokes saying: “Oh Yandere-chan totally raped her, I wanna see that” and it’s disgusting.

When you attempt to change the uniform on the home screen, Yandere-chan’s clothes stay the same. I love the new update, by the way. ๐
I’d love to see some(more?) collision detection in the town area, keep getting stuck in the scenary, and even got stuck in the road after riding off a footpath lol. Other than that, keep up the good work dev.
YandereDev said in the FAQ that the whole town is a placeholder, and collisions will be fixed in the final game.

downloaded the version of October 18, and when I press “play button” the game does not start, the screen is only pink as if it were to start but nothing happens. Already I uninstalled and downloaded again and nothing ๐ฆ

Story in Cassette Tape is really amazing. Very atmospheric. Waiting for high level plot in yandere simulator.

The game is getting really interesting, but it also promises to be tricky…
The way as it stands now, you need to become friends with someone – raise your biology within 2 days with 20 points, then obtain the syringe and tranq (which wont be made easy), after which you ask your friend to follow; inject and hide them. There is torture for 1 night and 2 days – and then its kill day.
From start to finish, its a full 4 days to meet the deadline that need to go perfectly, or your rival will confess.
I must admit… i failed my first try XD got into class at 13.01pm and was punished with 1 study point loss – which meant that i failed to kidnap my friend before wednesday…
Plus you also need to compensate your own reputation in the 2 school days before skipping 2 school days when doing the torturing…
How many of us will do their best – and then have to panic-kill our rival on friday with a knife or so? XD
I also understood that you first have to identify your rival – probably through info chan and taking photos. How many NPCs will be walking around in the final game… i would love there to be plenty… for… all kinds of reasons ๐ Challenge and chaos hahaha~
Well, in the end game, you have 10 rivals, thus 10 weeks. Meaning you could get her early and torture her slightly each day, kill your rival that week in another way, and use you tortured victim for the next rival.
For some reason when trying to kidnap Saki Miyu even WITH the tranquilizer AND the syringe with the doors closed inside the gym and equipment room with the box, it doesn’t knock her out it just kills her
Do you have the first level of biology in class? Without it, its just a kill. Put like 20 points in the bar (2 full days of school, morning and afternoon) and you should get a message that you can now tranq people.
to get faster study points press \ and S
Even after filling up the first level bar, I can’t tranq Miyu! Its upsetting because I wanted to try out the mind-broken feature…

I was playing yesterday’s build (I’m not having issues with it, or rather…I don’t mind the reputation bug, so I’m not downloading the bug-fix) today and discovered something…if you kidnap Saki on Tuesday (after you’ve already had time to do some damage to Kokona’s reputation) and torture her for two days straight, then bring her to school and have the murder-suicide occur on Friday, fun stuff happens. Once the police arrive, the text that shows when there’s a police investigation Yandere-Chan can’t be linked to plays. Then the students are apparently sent home, you get to put Yandere-Chan to bed, and school starts the following Monday without the game ending due to a failed deadline. It basically starts the game completely over…with default EVERYTHING. Default uniforms (the ones from pre-customization era), default appearance Senpai, OH…and Saki and Kokona are among the living. It’s as if nothing ever happened. The only indicator of any weirdness is that the school’s atmosphere is listed at 0% – but the students don’t show a sign of such, and the school itself still looks happy and serene. I’m not sure if that’s intentional or a major bug/hole in the game, but I found it interesting and kind of funny. I may be the only one this has happened to, but I may not. I’m playing on a Mac through the Wine app (YandereMac hasn’t worked for me yet), so I’m not sure if maybe that has something to do with it.

Hey! This happens to me, too. I’m also playing on a Mac through the Wine app, and this occurs whenever there is a murder (that has been detected by the teachers or cops) on the last day. I’m pretty sure it’s because the screen that displays how Yandere-chan isn’t linked to the murders cuts through into what’s supposed to happen next. It’s probably a bug in the game or something, but it does happen to me โ how it goes back to Monday and it’s on 0% and yet the students are all alive.
Happened to me on the bug fix xD, gotta say, it was pretty helpful since I spent the rest of the time tape searching
mine did that too only it was at the very end of the week and Saki Miyu was still in my basement??? lmao
It happenned to me too, and I’m playing on Windows 8. I had all the same things that you had, the only difference was that the school athmosphere was listed at 100%.
I think. That it is intentional, there is no actually way to win yet and you can not win the game… If you do get rid of your rival the school will just go back to normal on Monday.
I had that happen as well. I thought I had won the game, but Yandere Dev just hadn’t added a win screen yet.

Hm, I had a question. I already understand that skipping an entire day of school will severely damage your reputation, but is skipping an hour in the Before School cycle also intended to harshly damage your reputation?
Torturing at night time also seems to cause your reputation to lower as well, I would report this but I am unsure if this is intended or not.
I just retested this out, torturing for one hour does not lower your reputation (as stated in the video in the post before this), however torturing for 4 hours during the night does lower your reputation.
Why would torturing your rival at night lower your reputation? Skipping a whole day of school makes you a deviant, I get that but why at night?

There has never been a password on the new build .rar downloads on here. I suspect the problem you are experiencing is unique to your computer.
i think im the only one who got this problem but while i was downloading, my 2nd hard disk (not the one in which Windows is installed) dissapeared
im sure it’s not because of the game but i googled my problem and didnt find something legible to my problem so if anyone knows why my hard disk was lagging and now i cant access it and helps me fix it it will be great

I have an idea : Tell at a student (who is our friend) that we saw a strange thing in the incinerator.
When he/she looks inside, we can push him/her in.
For the town, it can be a shop where we can buy things. (weapons, uniforms, manga, video games…) or see special events about our rival (to see Kokona Haruka at Sisuta Town for example)
It’s just proposition, the game is already great without it.

has anyone had trouble with kidnapping the blue-ish green-ish haired girl? (she’s basically Hatsune Miku lmao). Everytime I tranquilize her, it just kills her instead in this update all while having admission to use a tranquilizer, and she is Yandere-chan’s friend. It didn’t happen in the last update, though. Just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same issue.
Also, I think I got a bug because I may have seen a part of the Halloween update. It scared the crap out of me at first LOL.
Close the door to the room before you administer the tranquilizer. If you leave the door open, you’ll kill her instead, I just tested this out myself.

Cirno mode is the best Easter Egg I’ve played since Titan mode. I played an entire freaking round on Cirno mode, just trying to piss all the teachers off. It was EPIC.
Try dragging a corpse to their line of sight, they’ll try to pin you down. Most hilarious sight to see multiple teachers try to stop you and just ice shard them all at once.

I was thinking that maybe if your writing skill was high enough you could forge a sick note? But depending on how good your writing skill is, there is a chance to get caught by writing a bad signature, so the higher your writing skill is, the less chance there will be on getting caught and being expelled/put in detention. So if you succeeded with writing the note your rep doesn’t go down, or doesn’t go down as much. This is just a suggestion though.
Hi everyone, is there going to be a way to change uniform textures for all girls, not only for protagonist? And a few more questions: how about ties for girls, and uniform like sweater uniform, but without sweater, and with a tie instead of bow?
For those of you who are worried about the torture element of the game, the point is that you’re NOT supposed to know how she is being tortured. It makes Yandere-chan more mysterious and creepy. However, you can get imaginative and come up with your own theory, but I don’t think he’ll ever actually reveal what the torture IS–both for the unnerving aspect and for those who can’t handle the visuals of torture. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for the Halloween update!
I bet yandere dev will probably create a way to take the mind broken girl’s clothes if yandere’s were bloody XD or have them switch clothes so yandere has clean clothes and the mind broken gets framed. Just a thought that could happen but i think it would be funny :b

No matter how hard you try to wash it, anything that touched blood can be detected with luminol.

Odd as it may sound, I seriously hope YandereDev implements some boob animations for the bustier girls. They just look really strange with their boobs just sticking out in midair all the time and defying the laws of physics while their hair/skirts/etc move… ._.
Well I just discovered an odd easter egg/cut scene. School 0 atmosphere Yandere-Chan fresh off a murder spree early in the day on Friday. End the day mmedietly and go home. After the “Senpai was stolen” thing a picture of Yandere chan facing away from the screen appeared with red scribbles over her back and the caption: “Senpai no…” underneath her. I’m not sure if this is a bug or something not supposed to be seen yet but.. Just wanted to see if anyone else had that.

I want to be excited, but at the same time I don’t want to get my hopes up, in case we get an apology video or a tiny update (eg: can now use a swimming pool or the bathroom ghost now moves around).
YandereDev promised a pretty big update, don’t worry. ovo Especially since it’s Halloween, I think it’s safe to have high hopes. Personally, I’m hoping animations may be added to Osana-chan, but he’s probably purposefully waiting to release that until the game is more finished (Or maybe he’ll add the nurse’s animations and programming, which would fit in with the latest kidnapping build).
