I’ve finally prepared a new build of the game! This build introduces the concepts of friendship, gossiping, and bullying to the game.

In addition to those features, some other miscellaneous improvements were added to the game. Here’s a full list of everything that’s new in this build:
Gossip
- It is now possible to damage a student’s reputation by gossiping about them with other NPCs.
- It is not possible to gossip if your reputation is “Bad”.
- You cannot gossip with a student more than once per day.
- Gossiping damages your own reputation.
- Having a high reputation will enhance the effect of your gossip.
- Wearing the right panties will enhance the effect of your gossip.
- You can pay Info-chan for information that will enhance the effect of your gossip.
- Being friends with a student will enhance the effect of your gossip with that student.
- It is possible to damage a student’s reputation by badmouthing them on social media.
- If you lie on the Internet, your reputation will drop.
- If you expose your rival’s dirty secrets on the Internet, her reputation will drop.
- You can check a student’s reputation on your smartphone’s “Student Info” screen.
- If a student’s reputation drops low enough, they will no longer be welcome around other students, and will sit alone instead of socializing.
- If a student’s reputation drops low enough, other students will begin to vandalize that student’s desk.
- If a student’s reputation drops low enough, they will stop coming to school.
Yandere-chan’s Room
- Added night and day to Yandere-chan’s room. Certain activities are only available during the day, others only available at night.
- Added a bed for sleeping, a TV for gaming, a shelf for manga, and a computer for cyber-bullying.
- Yandere-chan now gets her panties from a drawer instead of an armoire.
- Replaced Yandere-chan’s room with a new environment model.
- Added placeholder music tracks to Yandere-chan’s room.
Tasks and Friendship
- It is now possible to use the “Task” option in the student interaction wheel to accept a task from a student. There is currently only one in the game.
- If you complete a Task for a student, your reputation will improve, and that student will become your friend.
- Being friends with a student enables you to access the Favors menu.
- All of the options in the Favors menu are now operational. You can ask a friend to follow you, leave the area, or distract another NPC for you.
- Being friends with a student also means that your compliments and gossip will have a stronger effect on that student.
- You can check the status of all of your current Tasks on your smartphone’s “Task list” screen.
Other Improvements
- Fixed a bug that would cause Senpai to have white hair and white eyes if the player made no selections whatsoever when customizing Senpai at the customization screen.
- It is now possible to take photographs by aiming the camera and then pressing the CTRL button instead of the left mouse button. (“RB” for Xbox controller users.)
- Attempted to fix the bug that would cause Yandere-chan and a student to freeze in place when Yandere-chan tried to interact with a student.
- While speaking with an NPC, it is now possible to tap the “Confirm” button during a conversation to advance the text.
- An audio clip now plays when trying to look up Info-chan’s information in the Student Info screen.
- After you kidnap a girl, the girl who appears in your basement will have the correct hairstyle.
- Fixed bug that would cause Osana Najimi to disappear under specific circumstances.
- It is now possible to access the phone pause menu when in Yandere-chan’s room.
- The “End-Of-Day Results” screen has been sped up to twice its previous speed.
- There is now an operational vending machine on school grounds.
- Added a new Easter egg.
Hair
- Adjusted the contrast of the hair textures so that some hairstyles are not drastically darker than other hairstyles.
- Fixed a problem that would cause Ryuto Ippongo’s bandana to appear black when viewed from a certain angle.
- Gave the teachers unique hair and glasses so that they no longer look like clones of Yandere-chan.
- Added three new hairstyles for Yandere-chan.
- Gave Ryuto Ippongo some less-extreme hair.
- Improved Pippi Osu’s hair.
If I’m still going by my “1st and 15th of every month” update schedule, then this update was 7 days late, and I only have 7 days to produce a new update. It would be impossible to implement something elaborate into the game in such a short span of time…but I can think of a few features that people have been begging for that wouldn’t take more than a few days to implement, so that might be the focus of the next build. However, I don’t want to make any promises just yet. We’ll just have to see how things turn out.

Yep, there aren’t any textures in Yandere-chan’s room or basement, and when i leave to the school it only shows 3 frames of yandere-chan’s legs, and missing textures. hopefully he will find out soon.
I downloaded it once, and I had the same problems as you. Then I deleted it and re-downloaded it, and the only areas that worked were Yandere-chan’s room and the town. I have the same problem with the school. This is the first time Yandere Sim has run on my computer since the May 25th. I run a PC with Intel 4400 and I really want this build to work…

Hey Yandere-Dev, I know you don’t need suggestions but I just wanted to share mine. This has probably been thought of before but I thought that if you attend PE classes enough and get stronger that you should be able to move bodies faster. Just a thought

Aw there was some corrupt error while i extracted it. When I played i was unable to go to school without an odd glitch(all i could see was pink, a skirt (i think) and gray tiles. Dang, oh well I’m sure it will be fixed some time. Love yandere chans new room!

Hey guys, is there any possible way that I can change the controls for this game? I have an issue: I play the game on a laptop and the two mouse buttons are connected. If I press one of the buttons, I can’t press the other. Because of that, I can’t take photos. I heard you can change the controls at input, but I can never figure it out.
Never mind. I just read the list of updates and I can take photos with CTRL now. Please disregard this comment.
It might be a bit easier to buy a wireless mouse for your laptop. I play Yandere-Sim on my laptop and I bought a mouse at wallmart for like $10-15. You just plug in the little usb stick and turn on the mouse! It’s a lot easier and doesn’t cost very much π Also, the mouse is pretty small so you don’t have to worry about it being too big for transport AND you don’t have to worry about syncing it to your computer or anything! π

I’ve been skeptical and curious about this game since i firs saw it, but i was thinking a pseudo-combat system would improve the game a lot… forcing you to be prudent at the time of killing someone

Hey, has anyone else been having issues with the camera not coming up on a controller? Literally everything else works, it just refuses to bring the camera up to take pictures. I’ve been having this issue with the last few builds, but the controller works fine on all other games.
Where can I get that image at the end of the video?

When I tried to play this build, my WINRAR gave me this message:

After the initial walk around the bedroom stuff and going through the door to go to school, things started to go wrong. It was like the camera was stuck to Yandere-chan’s hand. If I moved with the keypad, her legs would be stuck in the running animation until I reset the day. All the building textures were missing, and the students never showed up. The only menu I could access was the debug menu, as not even the esc key would work. I’m not sure if this is a problem on my end, or if there’s something wrong with the file, but this seems to be a pretty serious problem, considering how the previous builds have all worked fine for me. If anyone can explain what went wrong for me, I’d be really grateful.

You said if your rival’s reputation is -100 or lower, she will be rejected by Senpai, I got her to -102, but Senpai still accepted her… Did I do something wrong?
Also, I’m gonna guess that Yandere-chan/Ayano is the daughter of the journalist, it just seems very likely.
I’m pretty sure the rival system hasn’t been implemented yet. Try get her to lower than -150, she’ll stop coming to school.

Well, I got it to -151, but that didn’t work. She stopped coming school, but the “rival” confessed her feelings to Senpai.
I guess it’s Osana confessing her feelings.
I’m just wondering that if Koko isn’t coming to school, how the hell is she going to see all the vandalism on her desk?
Kokona isn’t the real rival, she’s just a test dummy. Osana, the girl under the tree is the real rival, but nothing can be done about her yet.
The journalist is Info-Chan’s dad. She’s distraught and upset of her absent mother and the fact that her drunk father won’t do anything that shows he cares for her. So Info-Chan is set out to make sure nobody finds out about her past and about her info.
When she says “History’s repeating itself.” She was referring to her dad finding evidence on a Yandere, a murdering, love-crazy Yandere, and so instead of stepping up, as her father did, she decided to help her instead. That’s why she has blood on her clothing when she gets home. She was doing favors for Yandere-Chan. That’s also why she has a lot of money. She’s selling panty shots.
So yeah.
I had trouble extracting the files as well. I opened the application up anyway to check the biggest possibilities out of it. I only got to walk around Yandere-chan’s new room but when I went to school, it would really glitch up and show the fences and sakura trees? Also it would zoom up on Yandere-chan’s skirt and shoes. Not sure how to explain the situation properly. I was super duper excited for the new update so I’m a little disappointed.
Ehy YandereDev take the time as you need. Do your wonderful work in the necessary time. We can wait don’t worry but this game have a GREAT potential. Don’t have any tipe of hurry. Take your time and this game can become a really wonderful game.

So, you finally picked a name for Yandere-chan? Excellent! I liked your idea of the double entendre with her name being pronounced “Kira”, but oh well.
I’m pretty sure that Ayano is a temporary name for Yandere-chan. And I think YandereDev chose it because of the ‘yan’ in her name, so people calling her ‘Yan-chan’ would make sense. π
Smart. Like a place-holder name. It might become permanent, as Steven Universe was the place-holder name for the show but soon stuck and now it’s the official name.

I made the task for finding Saki’s bra and I made Kokona’s reputation very low.But the moment i started spreading rumors for Kokona,instead of her,Saki was the one who didn’t showed up to school.Is this supposed to be like this?

Uhm, for some reason now I can’t apologize? I downloaded the update and I tried to take a panty shot but got spotted, and when I tried to apologize to the girls, after picking the ‘Apologize’ option the interaction menu just disappears (doesn’t let me do anything for like 3 seconds) and then the girl says “Uh, aren’t you going to say anything?”

It wont let you ask people to follow you even if u have high rep
It said in the video once you complete tasks for people you befriend them. When they become your friend you can ask them for favors. The “follow me” option is in the “ask for favor” tab, so right now you can only kidnap Saki because she’s the only one you can complete a task for.

I downloaded the latest patch, but every time i try going to school whether through town or straight from home, the game always ends up crashing.
I believe it’s because of the sudden end of archive i receive upon downloading, but the specific file that is broken is sharedassets9 pls help, i really want to play this, but this has been happening with this and the previous versions

About the build schedule, i think it would be smart to have an update build close to (but not strictly limited to) the 1st week of the month. And have a debug build about 2 weeks later, to fix any issues the new update had. The debug build doesn’t need to add new features, but rather fix the previous ones.
It’s been on my mind since I’ve first seen your game and… Uhh… This is something obvious, so gomen. But I think you’re an extremely dedicated developer. And your dedication (in the build, it says it’s only-what?-11% complete, but…) you’ve made one of the most interesting game and it made me SUPER eager to play whenever I have the time.
