E-mail Problems and Download Problems

I’ve got to take a moment to re-iterate some points that I made in a previous blog post.

Please, ONLY e-mail me under the following circumstances:

  • You are reporting a bug.
  • You are making a business inquiry or proposition.
  • You are a talented 2D artist, 3D artist, 3D animator, or Unity3d specialist who wants to volunteer to help me develop the game.

Please, DON’T e-mail me under the following circumstances:

If you can’t get the game to run, please wait until I release another build. If you can’t download the game, please wait until I post new download links. If you can’t extract the build, that isn’t my fault, and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Simply put, downloading and playing the game will not be easy or convenient at this stage of development. If you want a smooth experience, please come back when I have an official launcher that automatically downloads updates and checks for file integrity before running the game. Until then, please don’t complain if you can’t play the debug builds (which are buggy and unpolished and don’t even qualify as a game yet, anyway).

P.S. – It’s okay to e-mail me if you would like to show me your fan art or cosplay! I enjoy seeing that sort of thing ❤

  1. Just an FYI, it may save you some bandwidth if you put the Standard and Intel Graphics versions together into the same archive if you configure your compression options correctly.

    Doing a test, I was able to compress the Standard and the Intel Graphics June 3rd releases into a single 385MB 7z archive by using the default “Ultra” settings but with the “Dictionary Size” set to ‘512 MB’.

    (note that this value is only available in the 64bit version of 7zip and, during the compression process, will require 5GB of RAM due to such a large word size; however decompression only takes around 500MB)

      • Can I please help test the game? I’ve been playing games all of my life and I’ve found every bug in the games that I’ve played so far so I can help you find a lot of the bugs. I don’t need to be paid so you don’t have to worry about money and I might be able to give you money so I can be a lot of help so please let me help you it has been my life’s dream to help someone test a game. I can’t say that I have had a job yet but I’m in 9th grade but if I could help you I could die happy.

        I’m a fan of Yandere simulator and I’d like to go info- chan in high school history spice it all ..
        and then we quickly forget the fake suicide Kokona Haruka it’s a shame .The Cullotes are too hard to take pictures ! But imagine that I kill many perssonnes and that I voluntarily let a girl run away from school, 5:00 minutes sonts too short to clean everything was blood and erase all evidence and more recomencer whole week , students and back proffesseurs photos and all this take its time! But the priority modes is to let go info- chan in high school and info about it because when I want to see all the data on my phone I can not …

  4. Hi, it’s Yuka Chan! I have a new Idea for Yandere Sim that you may like. Yandere Chan finds out that Senpai has a sister. When Yandere chan “spends time with her” she learns more about Senpai. His weaknesses, His crush, his emotions, his favorite things. There for she can do things for Senpai and earn his friendship. At least until the end of the game. Any question please email me back!     • Hm, that sounds like an interesting idea… But Yandere Dev already said that he doesn’t have any intention for Yandere-chan to have any kind of relationship with Senpai :/

    • I agree with Denys Kiraly.

      You should see some of his game builds, and announcements saying that Yandere Sim isn’t a game for the player to interact/know about Senpai (That announcement is just recent). So, even if you get the idea of a sister and to interact with her, it may lead to these situations:

      -The sister MAY be a rival with a red aura/outline.

      -The sister MAY be angry with people near to Senpai (If she has a brother complex).

      -The sister MAY WON’T tell anything about Senpai to you (If she’s a closed-locked brother-complex’ed person who wants to keep Senpai to herself.

      -The sister MAY KNOW that you are the murderer through-out the school, since you keep forcing her to tell about Senpai to you. (Why? It’s STRANGE if a stranger walks up to you, when you have no information about her, and asks you about someone you’re related to. What is this? Planning for a kidnapping strategy? xD. THEN, after meeting her, murders happen, which is REALLY STRANGE, and the sister may know you are the murderer with a few more reasons)

      -You really can’t interact with Senpai IN ANY WAY. Even with mods, since you just transfer student ID’s to another, making it so that you can kill Senpai, BUT, his schedule of doing things is Senpai-like, but IS NOT Senpai, you can see it for yourself by watching AzzMan’s videos about Yandere Simulator.

      Those are some reasons which the idea of interacting with the sister of Senpai won’t happen. And Dev did say that he won’t allow the player to interact with Senpai in any way >.>, sorry about crushing your idea after all :v

      • If we are to have a little sister in Yandere Simulator, I would like her to fulfill one of the following roles:

        If Sempai’s Imouto-chan is present on campus and she notices Yandere-chan around her Onii-chan in any way (including taking his picture) she will begin to follow Yandere-chan any chance she gets and look for any little detail that could ruin her image or even get her expelled. This will make killing rivals nearly impossible unless you have the charisma to convince Imouto-chan that you are not doing anything with Sempai or take…more drastic measures…

        If this is the case she should be a Middle-School student who does not attend the same High School as Sempai and Yandere-chan so she would only be present during morning and afternoon; she’ll be trying to ruin Yandere-chan’s image, not her own. She’s also not Yandere herself so Imouto-chan will not fight or kill for her Onii-chan.

        Sempai’s sister has sided with Yandere-chan because she’s decided they are perfect for each other and though game play helps ‘set-up’ some unlockable methods of dealing with the unworthy rivals such as planting incriminating evidence to have them suspended from school or assisting in stalling the police during a killing that had gone wrong.

        If this is the case I think she should be Info-chan herself, who so far has proven she’s more interested in her school newspaper and girl’s panties than laws and rules (at least according to the old cut-scenes.) If not Info-chan, a girl from another school who is in the same grade as Yandere-chan who can meet her on her way home following Sempai after the first time she kills someone; one of those ‘I see you will do ANYTHING for my brother, eh?’

  6. Man, those email must be really annoying -.- I hope people actually read this post and dont go directly just sending you random emails. I dont remember if that list is added tô the faq, I guess it is, but if it’s not, since I guess it’s the section people tend tô pass by, you should add it tô the faq. I wish you luck o/

    • I agree, I too had asking him why i cannot download through his link, and i’m sorry for that YandereDev, but in MY opinion he should first make that launcher he’s talking about so that it would be more convenient and it also gonna be convenient for him ‘cuz he dosen’t need to go through and reply all those freaking “cannot download this game” comment

  7. YandereDev, I’m really sorry to see this garbage taking up your time. Don’t feel indebted to random strangers! I don’t think it’s unfair to respond to them with only a link back to your previous announcements.

    • For me, it’s fair that Yandere Dev will do that (The link back to your announcements).

      I’ve been with Dev, or I’ve known him ever since January this year, and so far, I’ve seen so many comments on his blog about these kinds, about more than 30 times:

      -Vocalists/Artists/Inquiring People (Which are useful people for helping Dev :3)
      -Requesting Features For The Game

      Since I’ve saw Dev’s post on NOT emailing him/contacting him on circumstances that you need to request features (But, he agreed to some people’s ideas) I’ve never again bugged him about this or that. Just in a few of his videos, I had some ideas, BUT DID NOT REQUEST him actually for it. Just an idea to share with Dev.

      Actually, I *pity* Dev, for ‘always’ putting up announcements like this =_=), PEOPLE don’t listen and understand that they’re kind of disturbing his work. No offense, and it’s the truth. What would you feel if people always kept talking about something you ALWAYS announced? Troublesome…

      So, it IS fair for Dev to be like that :P, ONE THING NOT TO BOTHER HIS WORK:
      -Always support him. Don’t do things he doesn’t want to do, or to say tons of times 😀

    Actually, I know the situation and feeling that you’re not being listened to by people and keep bothering you in your work :/, I’ll support you, in some ways, even if its the least. Just to try to keep you relaxed or not bothered with anything.

  18. I have an idea about the mop and the bucket of water. Let’s make the player level up on chemistry until they have enough knowledge to make a formula to make the mop water clean forever (no matter how much blood you have to clean up the bucket of watet will always be clean). I think it should be available on Chemistry level 1 or 2.

  19. First of all, thank you for taking the time to reply to all the messages! It’s really inspiring to see you work hard on this game and care for your fans at the same time. However, please don’t burn yourself out on managing replies and just see to it as you find most efficient (like some guys mentioned, linking and copying answers is perfectly good enough, nobody would be offended or anything).

    Just wanted to quickly throw a small idea out here (not requesting or anything, I just thought it would be neat to mention it).
    I haven’t noticed any info regarding the eventual pros of leveling up certain subjects.
    Would it be difficult to include a mechanic where leveling up strength/PE allows the player to do certain actions (dragging a body, for instance) a bit easier or faster? Maybe even picking a body up on higher levels, in order to avoid blood puddles and maneuver around the school easily (or, at least, easier), would be possible.
    I honestly don’t know anything about implementing such things, but I thought that a small detail like this would help out if somebody’s playing a more brutal/murder oriented route.
    On the same note, will a high level on psychology affect charisma and Yandere-chans speaking skills? (Allowing the player to win the favor of other students quicker, or manipulate them and such)
    It’s be awesome if it would, because focusing on certain skill-sets would let the player have another, subtle, method of characterization for Yandere-chan.

  20. Can u give me a sec? I really want to report this incident on playing the testbuild. I downloaded the game during its first release earlier of june and also tried the fixed bugs update here but it still stays the same in the game 😦 That part of the game where you follow the purple girl inside the restroom. I asked 2 NPCs to follow me to the restroom (where the purple girl is going to piss) but as I go inside the restroom, the 2 NPCs are not responding perfectly to go inside too, they mostly walk pass the restroom and walks halfway back to their positions and then walks pass the restroom again. They don’t follow me inside with the purple girl. YandereDev, please fix that 😦 on your next update I mean.

    Does anyone have the same problem or even tried that?

  21. Bug report! When killing people, like stabbing, on the roof the person does not begin to bleed out until you get to the bottom floor. Wondering if it is supposed to be that way or if it’s a small error?
    Also, THANK YOU FOR WORKING SO HARD ON THIS GAME!!(: It is amazing so far. You’re simply wonderful for doing what you are.

      Bloody footprints are not being spawned properly.
      NPCs don’t react to the sight of blood yet.
      Blood can only spawn at ground level.

I LOVE the idea of the open world, I think a good feature to add would be to stalk other students and rivals to learn secrets, I also think it would be a good opportunity to gain or lose reputation by doing missions for people. I think if you decide to do open world there should be animals that you should be able to pet just for the sake of petting an animal.

  27. Hey Yandere Dev-sama! I wanted to report a bug, when I lured the purple girl out on Monday at 3.30p.m. or 4.00p.m. on the rooftop and decided to make a fake suicide, I can’t push her and it doesn’t show the “push” on top of her. I have tried several times at this point, I haven’t tried out the other times( 4.30-5.30p.m.) so I don’t know they will work or not.

    also got bug report -when you kill at the roof the corpse’s blood disappears and goes at the first floor of the school……
    and also the corpse body sometimes stuck at the nearby lockers…..

    ALSO ADD-some reactions to the people who saw you killing other students to add some environment…….

  30. today i play the latest version(9%) of the game.

    i really hate the teacher’s pet attitude of some students its hard to finish cleaning your crime scene ….
    but good concept though adding it to expression of some students..
    also try adding some characters traits that stops you from doing a crime (like pushing you)
    also add some bullies-targeting senpai…… really hope it….

    set a date, and send you.

    that’s more effective work.

  37. I have a suggestion that will literally increase the appeal of this game by a couple thousand who wouldn’t buy the game otherwise. Put a heart rip death in the game and/or make yandere mode see the girl’s heartbeats and offer some indication to their mental status. This although as simple as it seems will get a couple thousand more customers you wouldn’t have any other way. =3

  40. Just a small suggestion: Would it be possible to modify the camera command so only a right-click is necessary to take out the camera while one more is required to put it away? Some people may be rendered incapable of holding the Right Mouse Button and left-clicking simultaneously. I believe this would increase playability for many people.

  46. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me how to download this most recent build on Windows 10? My problem is, whenever i press download, I can never see the file pop up on the bottom anymore, meaning I can’t see the download process , and I can’t extract the file. Please help, anyone.
