As usual, the latest YouTube video covers the biggest new addition to the game:
This video runs a few minutes shorter than most of my usual progress reports, but it’s not because of a lack of progress. If you need convincing, just check out all the stuff that was accomplished over the past two weeks.
Here’s what else is new in the latest build:
Poisoning
- If the player invests 20 Study Points into the Chemistry stat, they will unlock the ability to locate poisonous substances in the school’s Chemistry Lab.
- There is now a Chemistry Lab. In the Chemistry Lab, the player can find a bottle containing a poisonous substance.
- There is now an event on Tuesday in which a girl will leave her lunch unattended so that it can be poisoned.
- If a poisoned girl is discovered, the teacher will call the paramedics instead of the cops. This will instantly end the school day.
- You can also just head straight to class after poisoning a girl to skip straight to the paramedic sequence.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan’s laugh to loop at the “end of day results” screen if she was laughing when the clock ran out.
- If you mute and then un-mute the game’s music, it will now return to its previous volume when un-muted.
- The player can no longer leave a note asking a student to meet them at a time that has already passed.
- Fixed bug that would cause a student’s corpse to disappear if Yandere-chan went to class.
- Fixed bug that would cause notifications and subtitles to show up in screenshots.
- Fixed bug that would allow the player to tranq multiple students in the tranq room.
- Fixed bug that would allow the player to take panty-shots through a chair.
- Changed the custom drill hair texture from Grayscale to RGB.
- Improved the “Punished Yandere” easter egg.
June 1st Edit:
Oops! A bunch of terrible, game-breaking bugs were found! The latest build has the following fixes:
- Moved the purple-haired girl’s lunch break up to Wednesday so that the player has enough time to invest at least 20 study points into Chemistry.
- Fixed bug that was causing the game to soft-lock at the Expelled screen during certain circumstances.
- Fixed bug that was cutting off the poisoned girls death audio clip upon her death.
- Fixed bug that was allowing players to still take panty shots of the gamer girl.
- Fixed bug that would make a poisoned girl’s bento disappear.
- Fixed bug that broke tranquilizing.
June 3rd Edit:
- Fixed bug that would trigger the “Teacher discovers poisoned student” outcome even if a poisoned student had been incinerated.
- Fixed bug that would cause the day to keep progressing even if the “end of day results” screen was displaying.
- Fixed bug that would cause teachers to think that Yandere-chan is trespassing during non-trespass hours.
- Fixed bug that prevented the player from going to class if a tranquilized corpse was on campus.
- Added a new easter egg.
By the way, several of the features that I added over the past month were only possible thanks to help from my esteemed colleague Saracen, who is also making a game set in a Japanese high school! Check it out sometime!
Found a bug!
When I’d take a picture of a student and send it to identify him/her, when I get information, it shows me picture of a student I took before this one. The name is correct, only avatar picture is wrong. Like, if I take picture of blue haired girl and then picture of green haired girl, when I get information on green one, it’ll show picture of blue haired girl.
Ok, something interesting; I was playing in windowed mode and took a picture, send it for identification. I misclicked out of the game’s window and once I clicked inside it again, picture was changed to a correct one.

I’m so excited for a bathroom feature or something like that where you could drown students, or steal things when they leave their bags to use a stall, or take pictures through the cracks as blackmail or panty-shots. Overall, every single update gets me more and more excited and this game may only be 7% done, but nonetheless, it’s already won my heart over and I look forward to the future builds!
Oh shit, i can’t wait ’til he adds bathrooms, i want to see what cool feature’s he’ll give us!
I can’t wait to see what new ways of killing your rivals he’ll implement. Like or then one way to make it look like a student committed suicide, or other bloodless ways to kill others.
Hopefully, we can eavesdrop on students in the bathroom stalls for gossip etc.
Bug found! When in AOT mode, and you kill/attack a Titan, their bodies curl up into a massive, twisting ball of limbs and roll off the map. A frightened titan student will run in the school and lead the teacher out into the crime scene, where they subsequently spin nonstop in place without taking action. The police do not come.
Easter eggs are just for fun — therefore, Yandere Dev will not fix any of the bugs reported for them.
Besides, this bug is known for a long time now.
I wish there was some sort of ideas thread for fans to share different ideas and suggestions with YanDev and each other. Who knows, maybe some of these ideas would even find their way into the game. Or we could just drown ourselves into a pool of imagination and hopes. That would rock…
Or maybe there IS a place to discuss these things that I’m not aware of. There used to be frequent threads on 4chan, but this site is not an option now. Does anyone know a place for me to share my ideas for the game?
Since this game got noticed by a few big YouTube’s, this place has swarmed with fans and once a while ago YandereDev was taking suggestions, but not it will be nearly impossible to get you idea. You could just state it here, hopin g to get a reply, but not from yanderedev
Well, it’s pretty much like that. There is a way, thou it’s kinda private one…
I don’t know if this is the right place for a suggestion, but I think that another nice way to get a rival away from Senpai, add a new enviroment and a new mechanic would be if you added some sort of office where you could work in holidays or other hours to get some money, which you could use to buy various things in different places for example a weapon in a drug dealer or a language book that you could read everyday before going to school to raise your language skill by 1 everyday. The money could also be used to bribe students to do things for you depending on their personality e.g dishonest. Also, if you could persuade or bribe adults in the office with your skills/money to change the local where the father of your rival works, making her move to another city.
And one thing I forgot, make the money different from the panty shots, making the favors from info chan more effective and cheap, since panty shots will be harder to get and money more expensive and ineffective, but with acess to things it would be harder or of no interest to Info-Chan e.g a chocolate box to improve your reputation. Also maybe if you could be able to go to other places to take panty shots from there since there is far to little girls in your own school.
I look forward to the game and maybe when it’s a little more complete I will be able to donate some money =)
To be honest, the new easter egg seems quite racist. I’m not even a person of color, and yet I was offended. That might be because of me being on tumblr for a few years, but I can definitely see a lot of other people getting offended by this too. I’m not trying to be mean, or be a “cry-baby” about it, but you might want to get rid of that easter egg before someone takes extreme issue with it. Maybe change it to a different easter egg? Like maybe Neko!Yandere-chan, or maybe a character from Madoka Magica?
I think it’s supposed to be a reference to Dragon Ball Z? Because when you push the “giggle” button, Yandere-chan does a Super Saiyan pose.
I see the reference to Super Saiyan mode, but the ‘ghetto’ part of the song just kinda bugs me. I don’t mind exactly if he keeps this easter egg in (certainly not gonna use it), though I know that a ton of people will be really offended by this.
I believe the easter egg was a reference to Galo Sengen. Galo Sengen is a parody of something within Japanese culture made by the Japaneses themselves so it’s not ‘ghetto’ even though it really looks like it, and has reached meme status. I could be wrong though since I haven’t played around with it much or had sound on to identify if it’s the same song.
I’d love a direct easter egg of Madoka Magica with Yandere-chan maybe wearing Madoka’s outfit… or Homura’s? Or… there’s other possibilities but I can’t go in depth here. Neko Yandere-chan would be cute though…

(More just replying for anyone having the same issue) If you get this problem, where you start the game and it’s just a pink screen and nothing else, just alt+tab to another window and go back to the game. The text should appear then. (So far I’ve noticed it working only in fullscreen mode)

The author. I want to update a vehicle that can be put inside the body, faster to the incinerator. And put the weapon reasonable in a certain place, hoping to expand maps and so on. Come on!
Dev-san, what if the school atmosphere is at its darkest and an entity(someone like Slenderman with longhair) will haunt the school and prevents Yandere-chan in commiting crimes. Yandere-chan must avoid the entity or run away from it then hide. The entity wont disappear even if the atmosphere is back to normal, Yandere-chan must go to some place like an otaku exorcist-wannabe or a school chapel or maybe pray at night so that the entity will stop haunting her.
It sounds similar to a DLC Yandere Dev mentioned he might add IF he decides to implement DLC’s.
Will you be implementing new facilities in school? If so, I think a swimming pool would be an interesting feature in the game. It could allow new scenarios such as
1. Drowning a person in the pool. Possibly by inviting them for a friendly swim before ambushing and forcing them under the water
2. Mass killings, such as by waiting for a group of people to enter the pool and them running an electric current through the pool killing them all (Note: This could be done with the implementation of a new skill/subject type called “Technology”, will be explained later)
3. Seduction. By wearing revealing swimwear when going for a swim when others are nearby
4. Alternative ways to obtain Panty Shots. I believe that a number players will want to avoid taking panty shots as it makes them feel uncomfortable. However, it is clear that you want to implement it as a core gameplay mechanic and a reluctance to adopt this mechanic will affect player’s experience of this game. Therefore, letting them take pictures of students in swimwear is a good alternative. However, Info-Chan may not be as satisfied with these photos. Possibly accepting those of specific students or those with slightly more revealing swimwear, making it more difficult than normal panty shots to obtain. Giving players who don’t want to take panty shots alternatives but not giving those who are okay with it easy pickings.
Another suggestion I have is the creation of a subject called “Technology” it will follow the same leveling mechanic as other subjects but will have slightly different implementations.
It would be more of a “Soft” skill. Instead of using this skill to outright kill or incapacitate a target (Such as Biology or Chemistry) This skill will be more likely used for Manipulation and Reputation Damage. How so?
Level 1: Hack into rival’s Facebook and post a false rumor/confession. Damages their reputation by X points
Level 2: Access their personal computer for Blackmail material. Spread in school to damage rival’s reputation by X points
Level 3: Access school network and be able to mark them absent for key classes. Get them to miss school for 1 day while sorting this issue out with the principal/faculty members
Level 4: Take control of school PA system. Blast embarrassing things the rival has said over and over. Massively reduces reputation/relationships.
Level 5: Take control of key school facilities. Can catastrophic problems like Shocking the pool by affecting it’s electrical system, starting Fire in the canteen, not letting students play Osumania in the computer lab etc. (To give players a sense of power watch_dogs couldn’t) This skill can only be used once, after which they can only use level 2 skills in order to lay low from police.
A key concept that this skill will run on is the Principle of Diminishing returns. Do the same thing over and over again and people will wise up to the fact that the rival has been hacked and will be less affected by it. Additionally, this skill is only effective against rivals who are very social/popular as these revelations about them will be most damning.
Okay, these are all my suggestions for now. I really look forward to this game getting done, all the best and keep up the good work 🙂
The thought of a player who is willing to virtually kill, incinerate, tranquilize, poison, and/or fake the suicide of other students being against – of all things – taking panty shots is… eh. I think your concerns are a bit shifted there.
True, when you put it that way, it is silly.
But I’ve been trying to stay away from this kind of stuff. I would love to play as a Yandere girl, fighting for the attention of Senpai, but I don’t want to do perverted things like this.

I was thinking about a new persona for the npc, like a “fighter” or a gang leader of some sort (when he witnesses a murder, he would try to atack you directly). maybe im asking too much, because it may make the game imposible.

I second this, this could be interesting. A counter-measure to this might be leveling your own Physical Education stat enough so you can kill the fighter (much like with teachers).
I suggest implementing the snap feature, where you have 30 seconds to run to senpai and murder him, so your rival cannot have him. If you had a weapon when you got game over, you can use that, or you can strangle him with your bare hands.
If the police were to examine the victim or the poisoned food, they would easily be able to deduce that it was from the chemistry lab where Yandere-chan probably left fingerprints or some other evidence. Maybe Yandere-chan could steal gloves from the nurse’s office, which would make it so that murder weapons cannot be traced back to her via fingerprints?
I have an suggestiion: an option to turn off the “motion blur” effect. Here on my PC it runs very well, but on the dorm it runs like shit.

What about a new student who will arrive in the school,

At first,Yandere-chan discover that this girl is in love with senpai and is a yandere,

The game punishes you for slopily commiting murder with regular status updates of how close the police force is to busting you by way of news reports or someone you know who has a relative in the know on the case with sharing info (Whether he/she knows what you’re doing or not)
You are offered multiple ways on offing the competitors and the cleaner the method the better. You can even manipulate the enviornment to stage “accidents”.
If there are cameras around. Go to the security room (Granted if you know where it is) and remove the tapes. Kill the guard if you have to.
You can also customize outfits that are rated based on how they can effectiveley minimize the amount of evidence you leave behind.
Gloves: Leather, Latex, Vinyl, Nitrile, Rubber, Powdered etc.
Identity Concealers: Ski Masks, Doll/Plastic Face Masks, Nylon Stockings/Pantyhose, Helmets, Bandanas/Scarves, Gas Masks, Masks from pop culture (Including slashers, the Blue Spirit from Avatar, Hannibal Lecter, Various superheroes and villains, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Zorro, TMNT, various heist movie masks, exaggerated rubber masks of famous people etc) Halloween masks, Camouflauge Paint, Ninja Masks (Including Hokkamuris), Surgical Masks (Maybe a bubonic plague doctor mask too), Sunglasses, Oxygen Masks (Like on airplanes), Hairnets or Shower/Medical Caps for hair fibres etc.
Body: Raincoats (Deadly Premonition reference?), Hospital Scrubs, Trenchcoats, Hooded Sweatshirts, That plastic suit Patrick Bateman and Hannibal wear, Boilersuits/Overalls, Ninja outfits, Aprons, Hazmat suits, Leather Jackets, Catsuits of varying materials, Wetsuits/Scuba Suits, Samurai or Knight armour for giggles etc.

You have the option of accomplices. That you’re free to off if they become a liability or whenever you feel like it if they served their purpose or not.
There could aso be a body disposal minigame if that’s how you want to go. It wouldn’t be easy most of the time though.
Home invasion on your victim’s residence is an option. But only if you want a challenge. Witnesses are a no-no so offing the family members are an option, in some cases a nesscesary one.
I really hope yandere-dev put some issues with the girls, like eating disorders, so it will difficult the poisoning. Things like that… ❤
actually, eating disorders /might/ make it more difficult, but being a person with a sister who has an eating disorder as well as two friends with anorexia as well, I’d really appreciate we stray from such. it’s not for such a light-hearted game
A light-hearted game? We can fake suicides, poison people, sabotage a person’s life to the point where they get bullied and committ suicide, and eventually we can kidnap people to take them back home and torture them into being a slave and kill other people for us. What about this game is light-hearted? Besides, it’s already been implied that the purple haired girl is being raped by her father. If rape is included in the game, I feel like eating disorders probably will too.
I had an idea for your game yandere simulator, it’s called (the protective boyfriend) let’s say your rival has a boyfriend or stalker and he’ll try to protect his chosen girl from yandere-chan. So you might have to take him out or frame him for the act. You can use info-chan to find out if your rival has a boyfriend or stalker by you using camera and or sending panty shots.
Yo yeah i forgot to tell you, to frame him steal his phone and take pictures of incriminating things like dead bodies or girls pantys.
I just thought of this, maybe instead (exboyfriend/ stalker) they’re following the girl of choice. They do things trying to protect her from harms way and if the (girl/ rival) is after senpai it could be more difficult with him around. But if your language skills are high enough you could trick him by helping you by helping him with his girl or you can frame him for the act.
Sounds interesting,but if the rival already has a boyfriend why would she pose a threat to Yandere-Chan? Why would she try to get Senpai? If she’s cheating then the easiest thing to do would probably be to catch her and expose her to the bf instead of killing her
Because if the boyfriend or stalker seeing you do things to the girl he loves he might attack yandere chan or try to get you expelled.
Found a bug, if you will hold the restart button and L at the same time, then the teachers became titans too, and, as before, Yandere-chan is still getting bald
It will be awesome, if you add fire gun, so Yandere could kill students on a distance, but the most coolest thing will be, if you add in this game bow with arrows

YandereDev will not add fire gun because you can’t find a fire gun all weapons will be found in the school~
I think that later in development YandereDev could probably make it so Yandere-Chan could act horrified by a student’s death. That could happen if she has enough points in her psychology stat, but the stat would likely have to be very high for that to happen or have some kind of chance for the act to fail.

I suppose since this is a Japanese school the chances of getting a JROTC Program are pretty much zero, huh? Kinda sucks because I feel like the Air Rifle Team could have presented a cool, and unique way to frame a rival for murder.

Loving the game developments so far, and waiting for the full game to be released so I can play it so hard.
I found a couple bugs and have some observations. During the set-up scenario where you overhear that Purple Curls has problems at home, her friend Pigtails got stuck walking in circles before the conversation and I was unable to get her unstuck. When I tried to speak to them, they said that they “had somewhere to be”. The second weird thing that I noticed when I killed all but Red Hair Side Ponytail, I had a bit of difficulty killing her. For some reason, I could see the control to attack but it was inactive even though I was right in front of her and visibly armed. She also didn’t react towards the weapon or try to run away. Eventually I was able to but it look a lot of adjusting of Yandere-chan.
I also saw something and I’m unsure of whether it was caused by my lack of diligence (ha!). I killed the Blue Hair Boy in front of the Purple Hair Boy and disposed of the body so that the teacher thought it was a joke when she arrived at the crime scene. I was exploring the game and tried to traumatize the same student a second time to see what would happen. However, the teacher busted me immediately the second time even though I killed someone by the lockers and was already in front of the incinerator with the body. I’m not sure whether this is a bug or whether I should just be more careful haha
I had a foot race with the teacher afterwards and was able to outrun her but not able to kill her even though I had my physical education into the second bar. Is being able to outrun teachers going to be a baseline ability that is later developed once you spends points in Physical Education? I was under the impression that Phys. Ed. has yet to be developed in the same way that Chemistry, Biology and Language Arts has and it seems to me like Yandere-Chan should be able to outrun teachers close to/at the same level that she should be able to overpower them.
Ok, so here my ideas:
Final boss or just boss: one of the teachers fall in love for him and plan to confess her love through a meeting in the park. Yandere-chan can try to kill her before, fighting her after unlocked all physical habilities or any other way that require lots of effort and points or sending a lot of panty-shots to info chan
One of the lovers could be a boy but Yandere-chan would kim him anyway cause nobody will stay between her and senpai, even though senpai is probably not gay.This would be cool to show how obsessed she is
Add a pool and create the possibility of killing by drowing
Add “Bob-Shot” and a school uniform that has cleavage
Add pant-shot for teachers that value 3 times more, but add some required skills to do it. Yandere-chan can take the picture hiding somewhere, under the table, dunno

Time stops when you poison the girl, and then kill the student who led the teacher up to the girl, (2 teachers are spawned)
