With that out of the way, it’s time to tell you what bugs got squashed!
May 16th:
- Limited the speed of the “Pass Time” feature and the speed-up debug controls so that it’s not possible (or at least not easy) to cause the game to run so fast that an NPC’s pathfinding breaks.
- If an NPC is going to meet up with a friend and the player tries to talk to her, the NPC will politely explain that they are too busy to talk.
- If two NPCs are having a private conversation and the player walks up to them, they will get annoyed with her and the conversation will end.
- The purple-haired girl will now stay late at school so that the player can plan meetings past the time when she previously went home.
- The player can no longer speak to NPCs who have just witnessed a murder or a corpse while they are fleeing.
- Yandere-chan no longer walks in place if she was walking while receiving instructions to go to class.
- If the player kills an NPC who is in the middle of a conversation, the conversation ends.
- The player can no longer talk to two NPCs who are having a conversation with each other.
- Disabled pausing and the “Quit game?” window while writing a letter.
- Added screen blur to the background when writing a letter.
- Fixed the broken “Hateful” easter egg.
May 19th:
- Fixed bug that would cause characters to react to Yandere-chan grabbing a corpse even if that corpse was on the other side of the map.
- Fixed bug that would keep the “Push” command above a girl’s head even after she had walked away from the rooftop.
- Added a “teacher finds suicide note, but doesn’t find a body” scenario to the End-Of-Day-Results screen.
- The player can no longer drop a note into a girl’s locker while she is standing in front of her locker.
- Disabled the player’s ability to push a girl off the roof while being chased by a teacher.
- Pulling out a weapon while dragging a corpse now drops the corpse automatically.
- Added a new easter egg.
May 20th, Part 1:
- Attempted to fix the bug that would make Xbox controller prompts appear when using a keyboard.
- Attempted to fix bug that would make teachers get stuck on the doors leading into the gym.
- Attempted to fix bug that would make teachers get stuck on the stairs leading into the gym.
- Added colliders to the stairs inside of the gym so that players can walk up the stairs.
- Fixed bug that would make teachers shut their eyes when standing guard over a corpse.
- Added three new hairstyles to the game.
May 20th, Part 2:
- Yandere-chan can now transition from crouching to crawling without having to stand up first.
- The player is no longer able to summon the weapon menu while picking up a weapon.
- The player must now de-equip weapons before leaving a note in a girl’s locker.
- Fixed bug that would cause custom textures to appear on the wrong body parts.
- Fixed bug that would make Yandere-chan go bald during a game over.
May 20th, Part 3:
- I activated Yandere-chan’s “Custom Skin Example” textures for testing, but forgot to de-activate them. I’ve de-activated the custom skin textures, so now her appearance is back to normal.
- Fixed a bug that would cause the phone highlight to scroll super fast nonstop if the player held down the right combination of buttons.
- Yandere-chan can no longer go to class if there is a corpse lying around on school grounds.
May 20th, Part 4:
- Fixed an easter egg that broke in the last update.
May 21st:
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere Vision to remain active during class.
- Fixed bug that would cause the WASD keys to select a menu item by two steps instead of one step.
- Fixed bug that would prevent Yandere-chan from going to class if a tranquilized student was anywhere on school grounds.
May 24th:
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan to get stuck in her laugh animation if Senpai came near her while laughing.
- Fixed bug that would cause the “Leave Note” button prompt to be unresponsive for the first 20 seconds of the day.
- Fixed bug that would prevent Yandere-chan from going to class if a suicide had been faked earlier that day.
- Fixed bug that would cause Yandere-chan’s hair to detatch from her body during the “Heartbroken” sequence.
- Fixed two polygons on Yandere-chan’s right arm that weren’t updating the character’s arm texture properly.
- Attempted to fix bug that would make Yandere-chan freeze when performing the mop-dipping animation.
- Changed the music that plays during the “dark” phase of the title screen.
- Added a new student who follows a different routine than normal students.
- Attempted to reduce clipping when using the “Yuno” hair mesh.
- Fixed bug that was causing students to ignore corpses.
- Restored the torn clothing of Punished Yandere-chan.
May 25th, Part 1:
- Fixed bug that would cause bizarre behavior from the new game-playing NPC if the player interrupted them while they were playing a game.
- Fixed bug that would break the “react to corpse” animation if a student discovered a corpse while holding a cell phone.
- Attempted to fix bug that would cause Yandere-chan’s scrunchie to remain on her head even when her ponytail was gone.
- Fixed bug that would make a girl find a note in her locker twice in one day, even if only one note was left inside.
- Fixed bug that would prevent the player from being able to go to class if they had tranquilized someone that day.
- Fixed bug that would prevent the game from acknowledging that the player had leveled up Literature.
- If Yandere-chan kills a girl who is playing video games, that girl’s computer will now shut off.
- Prevented the computer room’s gaming music from being heard inside of other rooms.
- Fixed bug that would allow the player to leave multiple notes in a girl’s locker.
- Fixed bug that was preventing students from properly reacting to dead bodies.
- Added new “find note in locker” animation.
May 25th, Part 2:
- Fixed bug that would cause the game to freeze if a teacher spotted Yandere-chan while covered in blood and talking to a student simultaneously.
- Fixed bug that was causing the game to freeze if Yandere-chan picked up the bottle of poison in the chemistry lab and then went to class.
- Fixed bug that was preventing Yandere-chan’s black aura from showing up on her hair during Yandere Vision.
- Increased teacher run speed so that Yandere-chan can no longer outrun teachers.

im now just thinking of a mod for this game that has very few weapons and the school has a basement with a old tv in it……and some characters with persona’s…….
I hope this gets harder quickly (killed everyone in day 1 when they were coming to school)
This is a debug build, basically a temporary state where the games core systems are being built with little content. There is no doubt the final game will be much harder 🙂

No. It’s stated on the FAQs that the only weapons you’ll get are stuff that you’d realistically find at a school. There’ll be no guns.

If I may suggest a feature, how about a way to disable the HUD? We can already do that to some extent with the “fixed camera” thing, but how about a way to play normally with the HUD disabled? That’d be great for video makers.
I have a recommendation…
Though I cannot play the game I recommend placing a social gathering area, like a park, mall, other areas of a home, and so on.

It’s a game about a Yandere in a school so anothers areas are not easy to put, possibly with a feature for meet your “friends” (when you have a high reputation, the others students can think that they’re your friend) and kill them without be seen by the passants~
I have a suggestion! I was thinking after Yandere-chan fakes a suicide, flowers and teddy bears should be placed somewhere for the victim.
It could be on the roof in the place where they ‘jumped’, where they landed or on their locker. I think it makes the most sense for it to be at their locker just so we can feel the impact their death had on the school~
Possibly he’s thinking about that, in Japan (love anime and manga~) when a student die, flowers are put on his table in the classroom~
I hope in the final game things will be randomized at the beginning of each game. For example, you shouldn’t be able to start a new game on week 1 and be able to say “the purple haired girl is going to talk to the blue haired girl about how she’s being abused”, that’d make stalking and eavesdropping feel like just going through the motions.
If it was randomized so a different student was being abused and had a different friend and different location to talk to them about it, then when you stalk someone for information, you the player are learning something, not just Yandere-chan.
Subtitles that show what yandere-chan is actually hearing, versus what’s being voiced, would be hilarious and creepy the same time.
I think you already know that, but I’ll say it: after I kill the purple-haired girl, I can still leave notes at her locker.
And the “pregnancy” choice at the “Leave a Note Screen” made me curious @__@.
Will we be able to persuade male students as we do/did to the purple-haired girl?
Btw, if a teacher calls the police and stands beside the corpse, then Yandere-chan try to drag the corpse, the teacher yells “What have you done?” before start chasing Yandere-chan all over the school. That would be normal if Yandere-chan wasn’t just trying to move the body (what is weird, not suspicious). I think she should react a little more “What the fuck are you doing? Drop this poor [girl/boy] right now, the police is coming” or something like that, ’cause she’s reacting the same way that if Yandere-chan was bloody, armed, etc. (Ermm… Hope you get what I mean)
If a Teacher’s Pet witnesses a murder or sees a corpse, he’ll remain with the terrified face… and will return to normal the next day. Like you said, he must be psychologically traumatized, and try to avoid Yandere-chan since then… But I undestand if you want to add it later. I’ve read all your blog (addicted? No, no) so I know about the 5 planned personality types, and that must (and will?) need a lot of time to be programmed. It isn’t so urgent right now.
I think it would be cool if Yandere-chan could steal things from Senpai’s locker, but it isn’t so urgent too.

You can’t request favors for now. That will be add later, that’s why all weapons and the clean uniform are already at the school ground.

None right now. He’ll program more later. Ideally, it’ll get to a point where all that can be randomized.
Since jojo stands are mostly named after western music, yandere-chan’s stand name should be “lovefool”
I wanted to see what would happen and I got a Teacher’s Pet to follow me while I pushed the girl off the roof, and when he does, he brings the teacher to the shoes instead of the body, and the teacher gets mad and goes back to the classroom.
I thought it was funny because when you get someone to follow, Yandere chan says “I wanna show you something cool.” *pushes girl off roof* Haha.

Huh… not sure if this will change (and I hope it will) but…
Once I had a weapon I would wait for all students to get through the gate, then kill them all starting from the back and moving on up.
No one spots me and I can get roughly 4-5 students in one shot before they get to their lockers depending on how many are left and how fast I move. From there it’s clean up and go to class.
I like your game,its a discusting concoction of brutality,suspicion,and love.the game is well balanced and thought out I enjoy your YouTube videos any you have a great narrater voice.i can’t wait for the full game to be released!the animations could use some work but ultimately its not even in its demo stage yet so i cant even complain.i hope you continue your great work and i can’t wait until the final product,i feal this game has great potential(for the sick minded😉)
I guess that there will be more students and teachers walking through the school, so it’ll be harder to kill without being seen. And remember, the weapons at the school ground will not be there in the final version, you’ll need to ask Info-chan. Also, the students and teachers may wonder what are you doing with the mop and all, ’cause it isn’t the school cleaning time. And what whould you (or a teacher) do if half (or all?) of your school mates missed class? Think about it 🙂
I’d like to thank all the work done for this game. I’ll be giving my support so it can evolve! The idea is so original and funny, and if game evolves well, it can become a really amazing game! Keep doing this nice job, I’ll be waiting for all news! 😀
Just out of curiosity but will it be possible to complete the game without killing anyone?
In an earlier video (the one talking about how to get away with murder), one of the ways of eliminating a rival Yandere Dev describes is hooking up the rival with someone other than Senpai, so I’d imagine that’s a distinct possibility.
As well as making other students bully the rival till the transfer or commit suicide, or ruin their reputation till they leave the school. May even be able to hook that student up with another one. Or do a crime and pin the evidence on that student to get them expelled.

Will Yandere-chan be given some unique standard look later on, or is this her final look? I’ve been thinking this since more and more fan art is starting to surface and since she’s been looking the same from the beginning, I’ve been thinking if this is the way she’ll look in the final game?
The version of Yandere-chan in the image is her… Hmmm… Public image, I suppose? That version is intended to be the “face” of Yandere Simulator. There are, I believe, plans to make her be customizable at the intro, but that is later on.
From what I recall, the idea was to make her plain as compared to the rivals and other school girls, as well as make her plain so that people could come up with their own image of her if they wanted. It just so happens that the public image has caught on.
It could also be considered a factor to why Yandere-chan is so aggressive about eliminating her rivals in more permanent manners, if the player chooses to keep the default image. After all, a girl who feels “plain” compared to rivals for affection may be driven to do drastic things.
In a WAY older post from this blog, Yandere Dev and Aea, the artist who drew fanart recently — it’s pretty recent, I think it’s the build updated earlier in the month, worked together to make a WHOLE new Yandere-Chan than the current one right now. She looked way different and her uniform differed greatly from the other students. I don’t know if Yandere Dev is going to implement Aea’s design. He might not, seeing how the current default one is so popular, fanart-wise and player-wise. I like the current look. I hate short/bob hair xD. It’s really unknown if Yandere Dev will change Yandere-Chan’s design. He might do some slight changes but probably nothing too major.
I’m not fully sure what you may or may not add in the future when it comes to this, but I think it would be a great game mechanic if while Yandere-chan is outside during class and kills anyone, that there be added risk of being caught even if class is in session. Like say the risk of a student going on their way to the bathroom (if bathrooms are a thing that will be added) or while going or dragging a body near a classroom Yandere-chan could overhear a teacher say she forgot something and that would indicate that said teacher would be leaving the room and possible walk in on Yandere-chan’s actions. Just some thoughts I had while dragging multiple bodies through the halls during class haha
This is a player issue rather than a *game* issue, per se.
For female players like me, I feel akward about up-skirting girls to take photos of their panties. Could taking a photo of a girl’s skirt register as a panty shot in the game? Because I’m cool with that. 🙂
Info-chan’s clients are very picky about what they want, so I don’t think it’ll be able to be that way, (unless someone adds a mod…)
Well, what I meant was that the game could consider a photo that’s taken around the lower half of a girl to be a panty shot because it’s a “zone” for the game mechanics. For instance, pointing your camera at a girl’s skirt is considered “Lewd” in the game, which means that it recognizes your intentions to take a panty shot. (I’m talking about gameplay, not Info-chan or that of the characters.)
The right trigger on my controller isn’t working for running. It works to take photos, and Shift does work for running. I tried deleting the game’s settings from my registry just in case, but that didn’t fix it.
For what it’s worth, the controller I’m using doesn’t have analog triggers, but it does show up as an Xbox 360 controller.

If you press G and get the black uniform and the black hat, and if you take up the camera it’s blocked by the hat and you can’t see the screen.

In an older post, Yandere Dev stated that he wants to continue working on the game more — until it’s either finished or updated more/in a presentable state — before he releases it in other versions like Linux or Mac.
In the final game, will it be possible to kill the girl by pushing her off the roof and take her shoes along with her body then throw it all into the incinerator?

Hello there! So, a glitch I found – when I got Purple-Hair-Drills girl to come to the roof and pushed her off on the first day. I pushed her off, then proceeded to clean up the scene. Removed all blood, shoved her body in an incinerator, turned it on, and headed home. It played the ‘Yandere-chan watches Senpai leave’ spiel, as if I hadn’t done anything odd. I then went to school the next day and everyone was gona, save for Senpai and the redhead by the tree, as usual. I thought it was just a little bug, no biggie, and if I went to class it would fix it. I guess, technically, it did? It showed students leaving the class and stuff for Lunch. But when I then just did my next set of class-stuffs, all of the students were gone again. Next day, same thing. Day after, same thing. I didn’t have any extras running – like, no eyepatches, no Hateful/Attack On Titan/Nuclear, no silly accessories. Had it running on Fastest mode. Hope this helps some~!

Would it be possible to eventually gather enough reputation to become a part of the student council, maybe even become the president. That could possibly be a status of high respect to give more options in manipulating the students, perhaps decreasing the amount of reputation lost from bad things. Idk, I just find the idea of being the student council president to be very cool haha.
Idea for framing!
1: Pick a victim. Make sure he/she uses something to use as a weapon.
2: Wear gloves and obtain said weapon.
3: Kill with weapon, ONLY dispose of your clothing and make sure you are not seen and the body wont be found right away.
4: plant bloody weapon in locker of the person you want to frame.
5: do whatever you want just stay away from the body. You need to wait for it to be found.
6: the police will find the bloody weapon with fingerprints in the locker and they will be arrested.
(optional) 7: If its to obvious it was a set up they may come back and be a lot more alert. They might spread rumors and while it wont affect you, they don’t know you did it, the school will enter a state of panic much faster. To avoid this you might hide the body, kill during a time the person is not around others (Forging a note can help), try to start some kind of disagreement between the victims, or if you really want to do it the hard way knock her out and place her with the body. Doing the last idea will make them think that shes mental and she will spend the rest of the game in the loony bin, I’m sure we see the Irony in that.

Hey man, I love what you’ve done with this so far. I have a few questions to ask.
How come you completely scrapped the older build to start again?
Will we see older features come into the newer build, like changing school uniform instead of just panties?
Will you be adding more than just the school area? Like shopping malls, etc. I know that would require a hell of a lot more effort for you, since you are just one guy working on this.
And lastly I’d like to say, if you ever need a male voice actor, I’d be happy to fill in on that part. I am English, not American however should that affect anything.
New features — like more enviornments — won’t be added into the game, as they are very tedious to make and implement. Like Yandere Dev said, the features of the game — in the end — depends on how many funds are raised for the game. If not enough funds are raised, the game won’t have over-the-top features. However, if more than enough funds are raised, more features will be added — most likely including new enviornments/places, like malls and parks.
Regarding the voice acting — Yandere Dev is mostly looking for FEMALE voice actors, so I’m not sure if he needs a male voice actor AT THIS MOMENT, but he might need one soon. You also need a demo reel, which costs thousands of dollars, but you could also send in an example of you just voice acting random things like lines in the game — not sure if Yandere Dev would accept that. Anywho, you also NEED a good mic. I think the rules were:
No static in the mic
No background noises
If you can’t talk loud because “Your parents might hear you,” you will instantly be denied.

I have a suggestion. There should be another option when leaving notes in lockers. To blackmail ones victims! That should be really interesting 🙂 Like, blackmailing until you’re able to manipulate victims so that they either committee suicide, become mentally ill or start kill other students. That way you should be able to control them or team up with them because they’re so scared of you!
You need to acquire blackmail from Info-Chan using the Request Favor system & Panty Shot Currency. Maybe then Yandere Dev will add the choice to leave a note stating threats and blackmail.
